Deleting caricature one so start over.

Ok, so a while ago i made a caricature number 2 as a female and have been quietly ranking up from scratch to rank 122 currently. I've enjoyed this having to work towards stuff, (I forgot what it was like) and it has made the game less stale for me. My main caricature, (male) has been there, done that and has the t shirts to prove it so to speak and so there isn't much in free roam to do to achieve anything else and there are only so many cars forth having in game. I'm thinking of having him sell up, retire and let another new male caricature take his place............but this new guy will be a lot smarter on what he buys in game.

 

Now i don't know what will happen if, after selling off all his assets that i can and banking them. Once i say my goodbyes to him and thank him for the may hours of grinding and fun along the way. When i press the delete button, does caricature 2 take over as the main caricature for slot one or stay as is with a blank space for number one? If when you make a new caricature one, do you get the options to copy the stats from caricature 2 like it gives you when you make caricature 2 to copy from 1?

 

Anyone done this before, someone must have, I just don't want to press delete on the main caricature and see the who account wiped by mistake.

I am not 100% sure but I believe slot 1 will remain empty if you delete  your 1st character.

Correct. #1 stays #1 and #2 stays #2. They don't move slots.

Maybe a while back but I think that has caused issues in the past, you might be as well just making a level 1 to fill the slot.

When I was a newbie, I made 2 characters (male and female) and deleted and remade them both plenty of times to change appearance. (I didn't have anything on them and didn't want to spend 100k on plastic surgery each time) They stay in their own slot. You can inherit the rank of your other character, up to 120 maximum, or start at rank 1 if you choose. You can not inherit stats if I remember correctly.

Plastic surgery? I'm on the 360. Is there a plastic surgery option on the XBox One?

I have two female characters that have done all of their missions and done everything else. I now just hang out with friends and help others do missions. 

I'd like to have a male character but I don't want to delete one of my females.

They both own the same properties. I wish there was a way for them to both appear together and share an apartment. I.E. one goes out and works while the other is in bed asleep or watching TV, or messing around in the bathroom.

There is a glitch that allows you to change the gender of a character at the Plastic Surgeon. Look it up on Saintsfan's youtube channel.

I have used it a few times.This glitch will delete all your outfits, and a lot of your clothes won't be available as most clothes have a male or female version.

I had to buy a lot of my gear again.

How long ago did you start playing? Are you saying you start from scratch every time you deleted? Forgot about the inheriting tank thing too.

 

The reason I ask is, you literally had nothing of value on your two character slots? No trade in values? I’m probably misinterpreting you, I’m imagining you’re starting from scratch with zero dollars in your bank account lol.

I really was a new player and at that time i was just messing around in Online casually, doing quick jobs (races and survivals/DMs with weapon pickups only) and messing around in general.

I had some money in the bank but nothing of value on my characters, so deleting them was cheaper than paying 100k for the edit.

The only thing I lost there was rank and skills/stats.

Nowadays, I have alot of valuable stuff on my characters and I'll pay 100k of course.

No, I haven't yet, lol, I still change it every once in a while, and I would rather not hijack this thread with my character's changelog. I keep pictures of all iterations that make it to a barber shop. (some things aren't available at the Plastic Surgeon)

So you’ve found your final form lol. Would’ve been interesting to see a catalogue of all your previous iterations up to your current character!

You might be able to get them together with a friend. If you all go to an apartment and you leave the lobby your character should be stuck walking around in the apartment with your friend. Then you can switch characters and rejoin. Probably not what you wanted but its a funny little thing I remember.
