I have four of them now, so I don't need anymore.

Anyway, I'd be better off putting the money towards a solid state drive for extra storage.

Look for some Western Digital (WD) SSD with a heatsink, but not the one with the PlayStation logo on it, as it's more expensive for no reason at all.

I've been using Western Digital drives for a long time and I'm very happy with their stuff.  I have one of their portable hard drives connected to my PS5.  All my PS4 games are installed on it.

That's cool, although I don't think that I'll buy the PS4 version of any game myself, reason why I'm waiting for the proper PS5 version of RDR2 to buy it.

Don´t count on PS5 version of RDR2, if it didn´t happen yet. Open world game I recommend is Ghost of Tsushima, if you didn´t played it yet.

I think that RDR2 will only get a PS5 version after GTA6's release now, so only in 2026.

Apperantly, some dedicated people managed to compile a functioning PC port for the PS5 exclusive Spider-Man 2. This has been done based on the recent Insomniac leaks, btw.

The way that the DualSense's haptic feedback works is so interesting, it uses the game's audio files to create these advanced vibrations, while I was playing GTA5 E&E I noticed that if I placed the camera close to the vehicle's exaust the vibration would also get stronger, and if I rev the engine it gets so strong that I can actually hear the engine sound coming from the controller itself by putting my ear on it. 😂

Yeah, and understanding how it works makes it even better.

I don't care for the audio stuff on the DualSense/Dualshock 4, I play w/ headphones so it's turned off, but playing Horizon FW with the DualSense which is the first time I've really put time into a game w/ DualSense features, and I've quite liked the haptics.

The resistance triggers have a bit of crunch to them for various things, like igniting Firegleams, or resistance while doing certain things. Combined with general controller vibration and trigger vibration it's pretty cool.

Gimmicky as f*ck, sure, but I do like it.

I don't like using the adaptive triggers in GTA5 E&E though, as I already play the game with free aim and it makes it even harder for me to complete the headshots and accuracy objectives while doing missions, but sometimes I turn it on just for fun lol.

I dunno if E&E supports it, but I'm actually quite liking using gyro controls in HFW too, it works well especially with Horizon's slow-mo mechanics to get finer control to hit the right parts.

I'd wager against the PS5/Series getting a RDR2 update. HD bundle on the next generation of consoles is where my moneys at.

Gimmicks work though, just look at Nintendo. Saying that, I think I've only played about 3 games where the haptics have actually come into play, and I feel like I'm cheating by including Astro' s playroom in that.

I'm not a betting man, in fact I'd bet in not knowing anything about Rockstar's plans regarding RDR2 lol.

Talking about DualSense...yes, it´s great and the functions add something new to it. But it´s quite interesting how much love it gets, I know people buying 3,4 controller just because of the colors and I´m quite tempted, too. They look great, I´m not sure if we had that case with other controller before. For people who like collecting sure, but it´s like everyone love these controller. This controller is like a nice car, it´s not just functional but people want it because of its beauty...sounds strange but yeah, thats my impression.

Controllers have been collectable since like the N64 days tbf, I wouldn't say that's something unique to the DualSense personally.

Both of you are right, this has certainly been the case for decades, but I can't deny that the DualSense is the coolest one of them all, although I don't dig the look of the DualSense Edge, specifically.

I've just finished Stellar Blade demo and gotta say, it's such a banger! This will hit the market really hard next week.

It’s been a little while since my last post in here, but potentially continuing the above discussion about the duelsense, yeah it’s a great controller.

IMO it along with the Switch Pro controller are the two best controllers in modern gaming.

I remember back when the PS5 first released thinking the haptics and whatnot would be something only first party games would utilise, but as time has gone on I’ve been impressed by the amount of third party/cross platform games that utilise it too.

Some games do it better than others of course, but overall I love turning on the haptics/adaptive triggers for the games I know that full advantage.

It’s a great piece of kit which is why I have 3 of them lol.

I have stopped looking at controllers.  Four is more than enough*

*Knowing me I will probably pick up another one during the Days of Play event in June 😄

Man Stellar Blade is such a banger.

Admittedly I only played some of the demo, but now I have the game in full. Yeah. It’s great.

I also switched over to the Korean voice overs as something about the English voice just seemed a little off to me. The British accents just felt a bit jarring I suppose.

It’s similar with Ghost Of Tsushima too. I just prefer the Japanese voice acting as it feels more authentic.

Anyway I’ve now bought all the PS5 exclusives so far this year.  It’s been a busy first half of the year so can’t wait to see what Sony announce/release going forward on the first and third party front.🙂

Gettin up

Just cancelled my monthly PS Plus Essential today. Better have at least -25 % discount on June, then I might buy it for a year or two.

It's the way I played through GoT too, felt it was only right to make it feel as authentic as possible. Only issue I had was trying to read the subtitles whilst also navigating at times.

Stellar Blade is on my wishlist, but I went on a slight spending spree recently, so trying to calm myself down a little and work through my backlog.

I’ve only only put a couple in, but it’s a great game so far. It only just dawned on me that the two main characters are named Adam and Eve and the whole story is literally about saving mankind. Just thought that was a cool touch.😉

Apparently there ‘s a bit of controversy surrounding a couple of the outfits being altered and some reduction of the gore. Some people have even gone to the extreme of refunding the game because of it and accusing Sony/Shift Up of false advertising *sigh*.

This is why I try to distance myself as much as possible from social media when it comes to gaming. Between the weirdos who complain about everything being “woke” to sh*t like this it makes me wish I could wind back the clock 20 something years before social media even existed.

Sorry for going off on a bit of a tangent. It’s loosely related to Stellar Blade and just thought I’d make a slight mention, but anyway besides that yes great game.

Normally I don’t pay attention to reviews scores, but it’s sitting on a average of 82 which is pretty positive from a new I.P with a use score of 9.2 making it one of the highest rated PS5 exclusives of the generation so far.

It's Saints Row 22 all over again pretty much. Regardless of what you thought of SR22, it was a game that a certain crowd of people on social media latched onto to push their agenda. They pretend to buy the games, support the studio, long time fans of the developer, yada yada, but for many of them it's utter bollocks.

They're people who unironically think the game industry is ruined because, in a game where you can play as a half naked character, the devs released an update so there's now a bit of cloth in front of her breasts in some outfits. The studio and it's game is getting bandwagoned by a crowd and now getting sh*t on when said studio in reality doesn't want anything to do with them.

One of the main people behind this whole thing, a self proclaimed saviour of the industry, is a literal scam artist who is guilty of some of the worst trends in the industry in regards to early access and monetisation. Imagine everything horrifying about Star Citizen's monetisation except you have literally nothing to show for it. That's really all you need to know about this whole thing, lol.

Or, if you want any more proof of their stupidity, these are the same people who bandwagoned Helldivers 2 in the same way and were buzzing about how Helldivers 2 has "no politics". Helldivers is basically Starship Troopers... it slams politics in your face in the tutorial, lmao.
