Algonquin Assassin
To be honest Mile Morales is still the only physical PS5 game I have. Admittedly nothing else grabs me atm. It seemed like there was massive hype pre-launch, but now things have been quiet. Sony also made a wise decision making that Destruction All Stars game free on PS Plus. I can’t believe that was going to be full retail price (over $120 in our money). It wasn’t terrible just..... meh. I think things will pick up mid year. The new Ratchet and Clank game looks awesome and that’s probably what I’ll get next. Ivan1997GTA, Sil3ntWr4th_- and MrBreak16
Zello
No PS3 backwards compatibility sucks. I understand why it's not possible but it still sucks. Still stings that Xbox can do it but PS can't. The Tracker, Ivan1997GTA and MrBreak16

It’s cool because it’s not just some select titles. I can literally play almost every PlayStation game ever made. Yesterday I was playing PGA Tour 97. Now that’s a spin out on a 4K tv lol. It would be nice if the PS5 could play PS3 games and earlier, but realistically there would still be a lot of games left out. That’s why I’m glad the majority of the PS4 library is backwards compatible instead of the resources being split to just bringing some games from every generation like it is on Xbox. Algonquin Assassin
Double post, sorry. I forgot to mention I have a unique problem. It has nothing to do with bugs, glitches and whatnot, but I have noticed on my Duelsense controller some very feint stains have started to emerge around the areas where my fingers and palms rest on the controller. Now I’m pretty hygiene conscience and I always wash my hands, but there seems to something else at play here. I’m guessing sweat may be the culprit which makes sense since we’ve just come out of Summer and that’s when I’ve been mostly playing it. On those hot days it’s hard to stay cool when you’re holding a controller for a few hours on end. But I suspected this may have been the case with Sony going for a white controller. While white is great for disguising dust particles and scratches it’s a horrible stain magnet. Think of it if you’ve worn a white shirt and got a stain on it how hard it is to remove unless you put washing liquid on it. I guess I could try soap and warm water, but there’s no way I’m risking a controller that’s $109 to replace. I can only imagine what some of these Duelsenses are going to look in a few years time. I’m assuming most of them will look pretty disgusting lol. I love the way it looks, but I’m hoping Sony eventually release an all black variant like every PlayStation controller since the PS2. This is an interesting point, I haven't noticed this happening with my controller and I have the white XBox controller which is also free of any stain marks but I guess that could become an issue I might have to keep an eye on. My biggest concern with the PS5 controller is the sensitivity/pressure for the buttons, I had an issue just at the weekend where the Square button became stuck in from me holding it constantly whilst playing a PS4 game that uses Square for accelerate so the result was my game menu's went crazy for a short period, hoping that was just something random but will have to keep an eye on it. Overall I would say the PS5 at launch hasn't really generated the expected change I was thinking might happen, almost all my PS5 games I've acquired are free upgrades of PS4 or free PSPlus games. 1funeral2many
My dad was lucky enough to score one off Best Buy a while back and it came last Friday, spent the whole weekend playing Call of Booty and Tony Hawk lol. ive noticed the same thing going on with my controller getting dirty in the handle areas and I always wash my hands before I get on, I’m assuming the rigid design is what’s collecting all the sweat like assassin mentioned? That’s what I’ve been mostly doing too. That and I just think the high prices of the games is a bit of a turn off atm. I don’t want to be spending in excess of $120 on a game unless it’s something I know I’ll play more than a couple of times. I’m just waiting for that “wow” kinda game. Gran Turismo 7 is the game I desperately want the most and I would have no problem throwing down that sort of money for it. Atm it’s a little weird because I’m seeing a lot of re-releases of games that have come out in the last couple of years. It’s not that they’re bad games. However I’ve got most of them anyway and it just would be nice if there were some more “true” next generation experiences. Had the game not been announced as exclusive to PS5 I'd still be playing GT Sport and GTA Online only on my PS4. What really 'bothers' me about the console game releases at the moment is so many '8 bit' pixelated games being published. I know that every developer has to start somewhere but I did not spend all this money on the console just to be able to play a very ropy looking graphic game that I would probably have played on the Game Gear or any other handheld console so hopefully some more major titles will appear soon. At least Final Fantasy VIII Remake PS5 eidition is coming and Crash Bandicoot 4 has arrived both of which look excellent on PS5. and I'm secretly hoping there is a hidden gem I find for PS5 soon., I think the first of those may well be Kena Bridge of Spirits. Algonquin Assassin
Just a heads up, but PS Plus is looking like another good month. We get Oddworld Soulstorm on Tuesday, Days Gone (which is already included in the PS Plus Collection) and Zombie Army 4. Overall it feels like since the launch of the PS5 the quality of games that come with PS Plus have really improved instead of just being random indie titles. There’s been some serious AAA games and I’m glad I stuck with it. Also don’t forget the stay at home games. If you picked up Ratchet & Clank for free without being a PS Plus subscriber it’s been patched to boost 60fps. Transforms the game completely IMO. To be honest these 'top' games were not something I added to my collection, I don't know why but I didn't find any of the Oddworld universe that appealing and Days Gone and Zombie Army 4 have just never really clicked. Unfortunately I have had my first problems with the PS5 which has been fine since launch but the controller battery is now loosing charge daily and is no longer retaining the charge so I have had to send this back to Sony for repair, it is not an issue with the cable or connections on the PS5 as the second controller still works fine suggesting quality of batteries may be an issue with launch models. There appears to be no major issue with this but it has happened on my machine, hopefully the replacement will not replicate the issue. Resident Evil Village is around the corner and I still can't get a PS5 Yes the PS5 stock shortage does seem to be 'dragging' on but I am sure the time will come where you will get one. Sony's head CEO for PlayStation did say in an interview last week they are asking the semi conductor suppliers etc if they can increase in production/priority for the parts as they know you all want to get the console, I am sure the situation will improve in the later half of the year and hopefully well before Xmas. TBH there are not that many games have been released 'exclusively' for PS5 at this stage and I have to say that BOTH versions of Resident Evil Village look really good... Algonquin Assassin
I can’t believe it’s been almost 6 months since I got my PS5. Almost half a year? And yet Miles Morales is still the only physical PS5 game I have lol. Though been hearing a lot of good things about Returnal so I’ll probably it up on disc. Been using my PS4 controller lately to take wear and tear off the duel sense. Beats buying a second controller atleast for now. Scalpers are buying thousands of PS5’s to resell them for higher prices In addition to this info this creates the 'shortfall' experience we are currently having as many of these 'scalpers' are sitting on lots of units that they cannot sell at the higher prices they are charging so the 'legit' stocks are disappearing immediately they are available because sensible owners are not wishing to participate in a scalp sale. In addition the home lockdown's have also meant many new 'gamers' arriving on the scene so this has also added to demand for the new console. Tails Prower
Well I feel an appropriate double post but it seems the UK situation with PS5 stock has had a few changes in the past week as I notice Argos, Game and Smyth's have all updated their stock to advise daily stock level or if the allocation is 'Sold Out' with GAME today creating a 'queue' system to Pre-Order one of the available consoles. Not that I need to buy one but I did also notice that the PS5 charging station is now 'available' again having been in the same 'mythical status' as the console itself but I managed to secure a charging station from my local GAME. On this particular point it has revealed that the 'fault' is with the USB connection port as the controller which was not retaining it's a charge is now 'charged' so I am just going to use the charging station. Keep in mind though you still need the original cable to get the controller updates so keep this in mind! All well and good but this only works if the controller had any charge left in it. The battery was zero input power left so even using the phone charger it did not generate enough charge for the PS5 to 'operate' so I needed to overcome that by finding another source of power that would generate enough charge to activate the battery again and the only way thus was the Dual Sense charging station, now that the controller software is updated with the newest version it should overcome the lack of charging since it was related to the original USB ports hub issue that was subsequently fixed with the update. At least I avoided having to send anything back or taking my PS5 out of use. Algonquin Assassin
Algonquin Assassin
On another note those new Duelsenses coming out look awesome. I love the all black one, but the red one looks cool too. I was thinking about getting a spare anyway. Surely this is a hint of perhaps custom panels coming also or even black and red PS5s from the factory? I still really like the black and white, but red is one of my favourite colours. I’ll probably just end up getting both to go with the OG Duelsense.
