PS5 games will cost $70/€80 None of this was communicated in the show, and instead Geoff Keighley's Twitter has become the source of much of this stuff. I was pretty impressed with the PS+ Collection and price of the PS5D, but now today is looking like a lowkey disaster for Sony. Yea I'd be more forgiving of the price rise if these exact same games weren't being loaded with mtx on day 1. What's more frustrating is that in the UK our prices have sky rocketed over this gen and are going up even more. We've went from £40 titles to, what I'm guessing, will be £60-£65. Dates, prices, etc, all should've been in the show. Because they didn't do that and left out key PS5 details (price increase) and key details about PS5 games (cross gen), it makes me think this is nothing more than Sony hiding the hand grenade. This is on top of Sony's messaging around the PS5 being... blurry to say the least. MS might not have the first party portfolio to rock the crowd with an hour long show right now, but their messaging around next-gen has been pretty clear so far. Sony, Microsoft and Steam aren't going away any time soon, if ever, and as long as you don't get perma banned which is pretty difficult you're fine. Plus, modern gaming is so patch heavy and download heavy these days that yea sure you CAN plug the disc in and install the game, but the day 1 patch is gonna be huge too. Those games were still tied to the account but you could use some trickery to still use them once you switched consoles but IIRC they fixed it, just like they fixed being able to be unperma banned by being temporarily banned. Source: I was perma banned on XBL for fraud (the platinum trophy equivalent of ban reasons I think) and tried every trick in the book to get that account unbanned. Extremely happy to see "Hogwarts Legacy", a game I was looking into since that leak 2 years ago, also the price was pretty much being said around for the past few days so no surprise there, "Spider Man", "God of War: Ragnarok" and etc. all great! The one time I used Shopto my parcel never arrived lol. Game are pretty reliable unless they use Yodel. They actually delivered my parcel to the wrong house and refused to pick it up and re-deliver it. I only found out because the tracking shown them on the road behind mine, so I tried knocking on the house number matching mine on the road behind. NEVER EVER use Yodel if you can help it. Also bought my PS4 from them at launch with no issues, so they were gonna be my go-to again this time around but so far their Xbox and PS5 pages are just register for interest.
