LongLiveJojo
I've never got to play neither of those games and I'm wondering if they're worth for me to complete?
Wolff
If you really liked the previous generation GTA's (3, VC and San Andreas) I'd say yes. It's a nice extra to the experience of those games. El Penguin Bobo
As said above, yeah. I would recommend playing VCS first though. LongLiveJojo

OP play LCS first and then get mind-blown at how much VCS blows it out of the water. TheSantader25 and iiCriminnaaL
El Penguin Bobo
@mde2 imo, the gameplay is overall is better in VCS. But it's probably a bad idea to play VCS first then OP would probably see LCS as a sh*tty game.

(Mobile is out of the equation). Thanks!
god speed
LCS on PSP and PS2 are identical in content. VCS has a few more side missions on PS2 than on PSP. Depends on whether you want to play on the go, or play at home with a better control scheme. LongLiveJojo
El Penguin Bobo
@LongLiveJojo PSP. I'm not sure for VCS, but for LCS, it has an inconsistent frame rate and it was poorly optimized for the PS2. If you have a controller or gamepad, you can play them on an emulator called PPSSPP. LongLiveJojo
god speed
I can recommend PPSSPP. There is a user-made patch too that lets you use the second analog stick. I can confirm it's possible to finish the game with just a keyboard too. LongLiveJojo

TheSantader25
VCS is definitely worth it. LCS on the other hand is the only "mediocre" GTA title R* have created IMO. mde2, LongLiveJojo and iiCriminnaaL

While I see it is a bit more bareboned than the other GTA's, I thought the story was pretty funny and well done. I'd definitely play that too. Journey_95
Sure, pretty solid games overall and they add to the 3D Universe. Used to play them a lot on my PSP, shame they never made a San Andreas stories.. Wolff
Lemoyne outlaw
yes i do recommend playing them. like a lot of people are saying lcs is not that great. but it is not terrible. and you could just use it to kill some time. but vice city stories is amazing. and it has one of the best stories in the whole series in my opinion. a great protagonist and great setting. Zello
Play them both. I played LCS first before I played VCS so it has a special place in my heart. VCS though has more features. Edited April 16, 2019 by Zello JPFL and Wolff

LCS is still a decent game(6/10) but I think it doesn't have anything to offer if someone has played VC and SA before. VCS though has a couple of new features, good atmosphere and soundtrack to offer. El Penguin Bobo
CryptReaperDorian
Both games are worth playing, especially GTA VCS. Especially for franchise completionists. While they're not flawless by any means, both make marked improvements over their preceding sequels. GTA VCS is great in that it's Vice City, has gameplay variety and controls approaching that of GTA SA, and the story has a tiny bit of melodrama that would forecast what would later come from R* with the likes of GTA IV, the Red Dead Redemption games, Max Payne 3, and so on. On 4/15/2019 at 4:32 PM, xXPinguXx said: FTFY. GTA Advance wasn't even made by R*, though. Despite that, it was still a pretty solid experience for the hardware it was running on. The GBC ports of the first two games are the real "stinkers" of the franchise. Still bold and commendable attempts, however.

Keano
Absolutely whether it's PSP or PS2, both games are worth playing. Both games actually have some of the best side missions of the series in my opinion and the Criminal Empire theme for VCS is a bunch of fun. As mentioned above, if you're a fan of the 3D Era, you'll really enjoy them as they add to it.

StangOne50
Hell yea those games were awesome. Might be a bit of an eyesore after all these years but you should find them very enjoyable once you get used to the outdated graphics.
