Weirdoutworld
First of all, this for my own personal use. I have NO intention of re-uploading anything. Even if im asked to. I respect modders & their work but this is just heartbreaking... I've found quite a few VERY nice large texture packs that I'd love to use but the moire effect in game from the .txd not utilizing mipmaps is just tragic... Does a special tool (or possibly a batch file type of system) exist that can go through a select amount of .txd's & add (possibly the highest level of) mipmaps to the textures inside? Without having to open up each individual .txd file? Because, there's about 1,200 .txd's. lol Ive used texture packs for a LOT of different game from different generations of hardware & it seems to be the most of a problem with San Andreas. Any particular reason why? Edited April 11, 2019 by Weirdoutworld Added another question.
GuruGuru
Magic.TXD has a function that does exactly that. Ash_735 and Weirdoutworld

I can't believe people would actually publish some of these texture packs the way they are.. The textures look phenomenal but without mips, I can't get over how horrible the moire effect is. Smh. That's because for YEARS the default tool for GTA texture editing was TXDWorkshop, which doesn't work well with mipmaps and can't generate them for already saved textures. Most major texture mods came about during this era, it wasn't until there was a push by people like myself that progress was made and from 2014 onwards we got the rise of the Magic.TXD project, which should be the default these days if you want to do anything with GTA textures. I understand. Thank you. I've only been gaming on PC for about 3 years now.
