Correct me if I'm wrong, new version looks awesome but from what I see now other players are required to have it installed in order for most of these features to work, right? This breaks the sole purpose of this amazing dev tool because before it was possible to use all it's features in your missions and players weren't obligated to install it. Well it's better to have something than having nothing at all so I'm okay with it. Now this is more like any other add-on. Don't take me wrong, just my observation, I'm glad for the work you've put into this! Keep it going!

Players still don't need to install DYOM# to play missions that were made using it. I haven't added features that significantly change the gameplay or make it impossible without addon.
The only exception is saving weapons function. If designers will use this feature in their projects, they should notify players to install DYOM#.

I'm having problems with trying to download an addon. Whenever I press a 1.6 download link, I get an 404 error. I don't know about the others, but I can't download it.

because it's not available yet, SIZZZ said a few messages above that it will be released on Sunday

New english version of DYOM# is aviable for download!

If you want to help with translating the addon into your language, open translation.txt file in "DYOM# [Data]/languages" folder, translate the text contained there and send me your txt file.

@SIZZZ That's awesome but I don't see how stuff such as ability to change clothes, fighting style or other skills can't be implemented without creator providing players with their own modified settings.ini file. Also, some stuff such as removing mission passed music and text should be optional imo. I've recently played a storyline and it takes away that classic GTA feeling each time you complete a mission. Anyway, these are all minor things, I mean we can still use all objects and pickups without installing the add-on along with bunch of it's dev-tools that make the whole job easier.

 

Oh and one more thing! Is it possible to 'animate' non-dyom objects the same way as it's possible to animate standard dyom objects? I remember this not being possible when the mod was released at first a couple of years ago.

 

P.S: One more bug that I have noticed. Non dyom pickups become invisible after a while during the mission designing and when playing the mission. What is the cause of this and how can I fix it?

Just checked, it's still not possible to animate non dyom objects unfortunately..

I wrote this about an invisible pickup bug. 
As for object animate feature, it's impossible cause DYOM treats objects with new IDs as effects

Can you make 2 modes like: Designer Mode and Player Mode?! Where in player mode all the removals that's supposed to ease the mission designing won't be activated. I mean the player doesn't need these things to be removed  (like hot haze effect, "Mission Complete" music, jetpack and aircraft height limit, district and vehicles names, stats, ENEX-markers for interiors, the radio is turned off by default and help text boxes and interior music). these things does not annoy the player. Or make these removals optional.

 

EDIT: And also the (Ctrl+M) shortcut for teleportation is always active. Make an option for disabling it.

the heat haze removal is something that always bugged me, it's the only part of the mod i think is unnecessary. would be nice if an option got added to the ini to disable the disabling of the heat haze.

 

imo it would be great if the .ini got expanded with most of the features of the mod so you could configure it to please one's self

also, for me the mod removes the HUD, which is fine i guess but it also removes the "ESC" key so i can't even get to the map to teleport. is any of that supposed to happen lol?

I highly second this. I have added some cars to my game but i can't get them to show up in DYOM. Pressing TAB to manually put in an ID does not work for me either.
