Between3and22char Posted April 8, 2019 Share Posted April 8, 2019 (edited) I killed a whitetail deer (part of the daily challenges 04/08/2019) and got the rank increase and now I have negative XP. Now I'm at -1092 XP at rank 107. I made that XP amount 1092 thinking it would be back on positive XP in rank 107, but instead Now I'm rank 108 with negative XP too.Any ideas why this is happening? I did nothing wrong, it all started after killing a whitetail deer for a the daily challenges of today (04/08/2019). When it all stared after killing that damn deer After getting 1092 XP I've submitted a ticket on R*. Waiting on response. Or at least that's when I noticed. Yes, I killed a deer, got that rank increased message, and the XP was negative, it was only -1092, so I played one story mission and got that XP. After completing the mission, got the rank increased message again, now I'm 108 and still have negative XP. After that I closed the game, Not gonna play. Still waiting on R* ticket. And I don't know you how this could affect rank unlocks and treasure maps (after 5 ranks). Rank unlocks, I wouldn't know, I was over 100 when first happened (106 to 107 negative), don't wanna push to 110 with the negative XP to see if I get a treasure map. I checked my XP right as I loaded in and it was fine. It was until I shot a bird and I immediately ranked up even I was about a thousand XP away from actually ranking up. I ranked up twice today, I stopped because I don't if they will rollback to previous level. Hoping this means tomorrow we are getting something new, but they f*cked up on something. Apparently is happening to everyone, I'd say login, kill an animal and you get an instant rank up. If you we can keep it, is a free rank for shooting a bird. Since is happening pretty much to everybody I don't think anyone is gonna get in trouble for this. I mean, if they don't rollback to previous rank, you get an instant rank. I noticed it today then killed a couple birds and the negative number went from 6150 to 6130 . Since then that number keeps getting smaller and I assume when it hits zero I'll rank up . You will rank up when it gets to zero. But for users bellow 101 I think is not showing on the rank unlocks screen and I don't know if you can access the items you should unlock at you new rank. After reading about this I logged on this morning, shot a turkey just outside Valentine to get the 110 treasure map without having to gain 6000+XP, collected the treasure and logged off. I'm kind of hoping R* fix the negative XP and adjust my level back down to 109 when the tunables update today, hopefully I'll get another treasure map when I hit 110 legit. As if it is a visual glitch in game But the progress list shows where you really are. But the rank unlocks are open for 99..lol The negative xp visual .. I have no idea what's going on .. Dr.Rosenthal Posted April 9, 2019 Share Posted April 9, 2019 I leveled up from 114 to 115 last night when I got on (instantly leveled up even though I don’t think i should have, like many of you), then slowly worked my way through rank 115, saw the minus becoming less and less until it hit 0 and I leveled up to 116. Logged on this morning, had kept all treasure loot I found last night (3 maps, 2 on me since earlier and 1 from rank 115), and with -6000-something showing next to my rank 116. Just seems to me like a weird way of showing progress, but the -7273 or whatever it is for you is just chipped away from when you play, until you hit 0 and then you rank up. But I have no idea why they did this or what they were trying to do because there obviously was nothing wrong with how it worked before (?).
