Welcome to my workshop !

so recently i'm back to SA Modding,i kinda enjoy modding again since I got a lot of new knowledge.

i tried to learn how to convert map on GTA V but since i'm still a beginner there,i end up convert gta v object to gta sa :'3

so here is some of my mods that i'd like to share and i'll update this thread with ofc new mod that i'm working on.

if you find a good 3d model and you think it should be convert to gta sa feel free to tell me about that , but the 3d model must be 

free model (cause i can't afford paid model :p)

this one doesnt looks easy at all , i have to re-move coordinate again and again until it looks synced to each other ( in every location in SA) to be honest i almost try to discontinue this one.

Pretty nice stuff you got here! it's great to see an objects/props/maps modder between all of those car workshops! 

 

About your mods, have you considered adding dynamic shadows? I know it's a hard extra step for any modder but that could definitely add a realistic and lore-friendly touch to your work, specially since most map modders avoid that feature. 

 

You could also focus on animated props or even animate static ones; for example, in GTA IV, every traffic light has an small wiggle movement that increases according to the wind, weather-based of course. 

 

Those are just suggestions but well, hope to see more unique mods!

thank's for your suggestion , to be honest since ENB and SA:Render already has great feature of Dynamic Shadow ,it's automatically shows most every object's shadow either it's Vanila Object or Add-On Object , that's the first reason why i didnt put custom shadow in my object/map/props , second reason is dynamic shadow in object can be so glitchy and sometimes doesnt looks good in game , third reason is it's sometime makes game crashes if you set your game on High or Very High. yes i did put custom shadow in my old map : Need For Speed World Garage , but after i realize SA:Render and ENB has that feature i kinda stop to put shadow in my object/map.

Yeah, ENBs & Renderhook (SA:Render is gone) are the best choices currently.

 

As Ezekiel said, vanilla shadows tend to drop FPS and even crash the game. It would be great to see them anyway but as you said, it's unnecessary to include them when we have optimized ways for that feature. 

 

Could be great to still see it with small and simple objects such as boxes or basic geometric-shaped props ;)

there would be no problem for small object like you said , the only problem will appear on medium to large object ,i believe SA Engine cannot handle big shadow or some short of that , and besides, shadow really need to be the lowest poly as possible,i've think to separate 1 object to 2 shadow but shadow will looks ugly and didnt sync each other.

Yes, that's right, Renderware can't handle large shadow models but interestingly it can manage shadows big enough like a bridge. The main problem comes with objects with multiple shadows, that's a real headache trying to fit both models. The second biggest problem appears while in-game, since the game stops loading objects that are not visible, most distant shadows disappear, while some others starting glitching, that last issue is most noticeable when using Shadows Settings Extender by DK.

yeah , most noticable glitch is floating trees shadow and some circle thing on the ground following me wherever i go xD

Hello there 

i already saw that mod , and realize that train was a remake of brown streak on GTA SA , i'm not sure i would convert it since it has the 3d maker , which mean i need the permission first before convert it to gta sa ,and i dont have any contact to that 3d maker, tried to see the author website and it's only linked to steam profile which is private account , so it would be hard to get the permission for 3d model

Isn't that the Ferris Whale from GTA V? I'm pretty sure that GTA V advertises the place as the slowest ride ever.

Can you make your own version of this? Anyways, the train route map in the passenger cars would have to be remade to suit the GTA SA map. The doors on the front, rear, and sides would have to be nonsolid and the passengers would have to visibly sit on the seats. Windows would be tinted on the passenger cars and lights would have to be altered to turn on at night. Any resemblance with the mod linked below would have to be a pure coincidence as you make your own version.

i already have many plans on my next mods and among them i have the big one , so i'm afraid i'll have a time for that ,but your request aren't that hard , i might will do it when i have a time to do it , thank's for your contribution on my workshop :)

i have a bad news , a problem that i couldnt fix appear on ferris wheel mod , so i have to discontinue this project for now until i could solve the problem.
