The Facebook topic

So many news about it the past few days might as well make a global topic for it. 

 

Most recent ones: Asking new users using certain e-mail providers for their e-mail password, having fb data publicly accessed on AWS servers.

 

Now for the fun part, if you have a fb account what do you do it with? 

 

"Deleting" your profile just means you can't access it, if you never created an account in the first place, there's still a profile for you. 

Any decent way to scramble your data before you "delete" your account?

I think you can delete it permanently but you have to manually ask for it by contacting support or something. It's sort of a hidden feature that was added to comply with privacy laws.

Tell them you are dead or delete data yourself.   It takes time but can be done with a lot of patience.  If you can't be bothered with that remove any photos that ID you and change user nsame before deactivating.

I created one in 2010 and delete it around 2011, but I created another one some weeks later and is still active to this day.

 

When I started using Facebook again in 2011 was because my school used to post the ratings in a private document to check it and avoid the laziness to go directly to the school.

 

And since I meet a lot of people since 2011, I started to chat more frequently and friends I don't see too often in months or years, news about my favorite bands, events, and the marketplace, but I rarely post something in the wall and more strange if I post a comment.

 

I have some friends deleting his account because of a bad relationship and they avoid the person with a reverse name when they open another one.
