Well certainly a lot of players do, since every lobby I‘m joining fills up within seconds.

When it is all the game has to offer, sure.  I enjoy some of the showdowns myself...But we all know about Rockstars love of adversary modes in GTA and claims of how popular they are/were.  Nobody played them unless they were 2x$ 2xp.

Given what they have teased from the next update, even that won't tempt me back. One more gun, a few contact and freeroam missions and more adv modes lol. It's almost like they're trying with all of their efforts to kill RDO..

I enjoy a good Adversary Mode from time to time, but I can only do a few matches before I get bored and want to return to free roam. I don’t understand how people can play them all day long.

 

Free roam is where it’s at, free roam should get more content. In my opinion, anyway. I understand people want the Story Missions so let’s have them, even if I’m personally not too excited about them.

 

Anything but more Adversary Modes, what we got already should last us through the next year. Especially considering we can’t choose them so the more we get the more rare our favorite modes will become. 🤦‍♂️

I was fully expecting freeroam activities on par with GTAOs, shine operation, gunsmith, horse ranches (the potential Import Export for a game like RDO). Who knows, we may actually get some of these things, but moving at a slugs pace like this does not leave me hopeful.

The new Plunder mode is ok, but I'm not a fan of modes with multiple teams which is why I don't care for Hostile Territory. I prefer the classic versus between 2 teams. The real problem is that they end up mashing these modes in with Showdown Series when it would be better if we can join a playlist exclusively for a mode instead of the Showdown playlist. I also don't think we've seen the last of drip feed, because I wouldn't be surprised if this "Big Spring Update" ended up being just that though.

This is the last of the drip feed, they even said so themselves. The next big spring update is due in May/June.

Yeah, but is that for this past update or for updates going forward too. We know this is the last drip feed because this was really one whole update that got released in parts and this would be the last because its the last thing being release that they promised us to release a couple months back. Everything we are getting now we were promised to get eventually. We knew this was coming a couple of months ago when the dripfeed started around February and they stated they will keep us updated on when they would drop the new modes so this is that last dripfeed because there is no more expected content from that update. In other words they could say Spring Update will release starting in May/June and we will get 5 new modes, 6 new clothing items, 3 guns, etc., but say we will only release  1 of each of these going forward on every week, which is how they did this past update.......split a whole update into parts.

It's not just RDO... Q4 2019 is the first quarter me and my friends have gone without playing any Rockstar multiplayer game....

 

May 2008 -> April 2010 = GTAIVM*

May 2010 -> April 2012 = RDRM* with the occasional GTAIVM*

May 2012 - September 2013 = RDRM/MPIIIM* with the occasional GTAIVM*

October 2013 -> November 2018 = GTAO

December 2018 = GTAO with the occasional RDO

January -> March 2019 = Stopped playing both while hoping the Q4 2019 GTAO/RDO updates would add something good and give us a reason to come back

April 2019 = So, that was it for Q4 2019?... Back to other games then :/

 

*Even though we'd frequently play them, it was never to the extant of GTAO. Most of the time it was to just screw around before playing somethingelse. Currently the playtimes from longest played to shortest played are: GTAO >> RDRM >>> MPIIIM > GTAIVM > RDO. RDO has the same problem as GTAIV, imo. It's a great improvement if you're going from RDRM to RDO, while ignoring GTAO. (Much like GTAIV was a great improvement if you're going from GTAIII to GTAIV, while ignoring GTAVC and GTASA)
