Heist in RDR2:O

Hey all!

When you do suggestion to heist in RDR2:O, make sure that you eminently push for it to be for a full posse!

Did a suggestion on a prison heist for that is my favourite from GTA:O!

And if someone has a suggestion for a heist i don´t mind to help support it on the suggestion page!

I'm a bit confused when you say "for a full posse". Does that mean that you would want there to be exactly four (or seven if it's a permanent posse) players to be able to launch it? If so, I personally don't like that part of the idea; the strict four player requirement for the initial set of heists in GTAO was often frustrating, which is why I prefer how they were done within Doomsday heist with the flexibility of using 2-4 players and being able to do the preps solo.

Just a thought; I certainly wouldn't mind having a heist or set of heists in RDRO, but definitely not ones that take place in an open free roam lobby where other players can troll, interfere, and act like twats or with a strict number of players required to launch and partake.

Four to seven players, but I can see what you mean with DD heist. Its easier to find one random (compare to finding 3 to 6 players) or if only one friend is online.

Just to clarify even more it should work like the online story mission in RDR2:O or as in GTA:O.

Never liked the prep missions in DDH. It was so forced PvP and it took the fun out of the heist.

Problem with multi-person heists for me is that I'll always end up with at least two randoms and if my buddy isn't online, three. Most of them will already have played the missions before and are gonna be rushing through it.

Plus, I hate coming on here and begging for friends to play with. I mean, I love you slippery bastards, but there are very few to match my playstyle. I go soooo slooow.

Even 2-7 players could be fine. Increasing difficulty and number of NPC's depending on the amount of players. I did not really like prep missions either in GTAO

And the idea of forced pvp while doing a heist looks like a very bad one

Oh yea, please no PvP with heists! I'm a proud member of the MTU 600 Club, so I didn't have to deal with that crap in GTAO. Knowing R* though, if they implement them, it'll be forced into a public lobby only (but there may not be any private lobbies added at all from the looks of things) and will require at least two posses to fight whilst attempting to pull off the heist.

Lol! I agree and there's nothing wrong with taking it slowly; I too hate it when everything is rushed and there's no time to even enjoy it. I went through all of Doomsday heist (with the exception of my solo prep work) with only one other friend and her and I took our time and had fun with it.

I cannot WAIT for heists to be added into this game 😁

Me either. But I'm not playing them with randoms this time around, I'm fairly sure that both Prison Break and especially Humane Labs have taken years off my life expectancy.

It's forum members or not at all when it comes to RDO Heists.

2-7 people sounds like a good idea.

Then u can do it with just one trusted friend or getting it done with a full posse to not leave someone behind.

Just sent feedbacks about this.

This would bring many people back to online, many wants the same experience like they got in the story mode, and not only PvP modes.

Heist update would make many of us get shaking hands 🙂

Personally, I want full flexibility when it comes to heists, 1-7 players.

I don't want to play them solo, I'd much prefer to get a few players from here, agree when to "meet up" and dive in for a few hours of fun.

I just feel like there is a lot of replay value unlocked by allowing them to be attempted solo.

Same can be said for bigger groups, I don't see any reason to go down the 2-4 players route. 7 players in a posse doing a heist run would be epic.

If Gta Online taught us anything, don't go holding your breath. Gta Online was much better off at the start and it still took them a damn year to release heists. Now look at RDO, which is an absolute mess, its gonna take even longer than that.

We're in for a wait, there's no doubt about that. Heists won't be added during "beta" and they won't be the first, or even one of the first, updates once that meme tag has been removed.

There's a lot of fleshing out to be done before we get an update with any real weight to it, such as heists.

I personally think the first heist style mission(s) will be part of the Story missions arc, R* have teased a bank robbery with/for Finch, so I have a feeling we'll see that first. Although, I don't expect that particular mission to come with the next batch of Story missions in the next update.

One of the worst decisions made when Doomsday Heist was released, and there we're quite a few bad decisions.

The freeroam setups were f*cking awful.

No 4 player requirements, please. It’s a bitch to plan since Heists usually take a while - getting 4 players on board at the same time is difficult even if you usually play with friends.

2-7 players sounds great in my opinion. Solo would be nice of course, but I don’t see R* doing that - they seem to shy away from all things that can be done solo and if the Heists were available to play solo a lot of players would sit comfortably in their own lobbies just grinding away. Not that I have a problem with that, but R* surely does.

And, yeah, please no Free Roam Prep Missions! They’re just an obvious time sink really, and paying for them all is expensive as sh*t on the DDH.

In a way, though - I gotta say - I enjoy them as missions, if they’d be standalone jobs and give a decent payout (I’m always for more diversity and use of interiors/advanced objectives in Free Roam missions), but as prep jobs for Heists - no thanks.

Though I do enjoy the PvP thrill of free mode jobs that are well-balanced.

Wouldn't shock me if Rockstar did a sort of copy and paste from GTA as far type of heists.  There's already a Prison, Military Base, and a couple banks in RDO.  Since it's set before Story Mode, I'm sure they could use Micah as the Trevor heist as well.

@Rammer2k I’m not f*cking lifting a finger to help Micah, lol. I was fine helping Trevor but the only thing I’ll do for Micah is chop his cock off with my tomahawk.

Nitpicking maybe but I hope they don't use the phrase "heist", pretty sure that wasn't even a word back then.

But I wonder sometimes if this bunch even realizes they're working on a western. Certain things, those dumb after game emojis for example, tell me probably not. They're still in dance club mode I'm afraid.

Agreed. A small number of known players in a group(friends/forum members) usually perform better than a larger group of randoms. Knowing myself I will try to play with Randoms just to see how bad it can get and to hear people yelling at other people they don't know about how they play their role..... otherwise I'm avoiding randoms as much as possible.

@XxJazzy42xX Agreed. Only one thing; the vid you posted - I wouldn’t really blame anyone for that. It’s a typical diehard LSPD kamikaze pilot at his finest work. One could even argue it should’ve been the Buzzard pilot’s job to shoot that chopper down before it got close to the Velum!

But anyway, I agree with what you said. Getting a bunch of randoms to coordinate a heist together is like trying to get a class from kindergarden to perform Carmina Burana in the weightlessness of space. I gave that up years ago, my nerves couldn’t deal with it anymore.

They will probably use the term "heist" assuming we have the term "emoji". Expect to see Train Heists, Bank Heists, etc. in your menu in the future

Yeah and you know what the guy in the Buzzard is usually the guy complaining on the mic to the guy in the Velum. I get that every now and then npcs will seem to know your every move or just throw full force at you with no rhyme or reason. I've seen it happen in survival mode too where the guy that constantly clears out waves with the most kills is sometimes the guy the npcs have a hard on for idk about y'all, but it just feels that way sometimes.

More flexibility is what I want from RDO's heists, that means 1-7 players, at least for setups.

Or something that has happened to some of us. The Buzzard pilot blows up a Police Helicopter, and it's burning wreckage lands right on the Velum and destroys it.

True some times things just happen, but most often than not people usually mess up heists. Now I'm laid back, because I only play heist when I got tons of time to burn anyway...... if you failed your job when you are actually trying to play the game and actually are trying to help the other players in the squad get this heist completed its no biggie lets get back to it. I guess my biggest problem is people who join heist to just go AFK or purposely try to fail the role to prevent completion.

I'd much prefer the Doomsday or old school Red Dead Online method where you only need 2 players.

Forcing 4 players (or more) is an awful idea. How much time did we all waste with n00bs and randoms on the original GTA Heists? Too much damn time.

2-7 is a great idea as others said. I have one main friend i play with and if heists were to come out, i wouldn't mind playing with some fellow forum members (My experience in GTA heists varied a LOT, to the point that i don' really want to do any heists with randoms...)

Having an 8 player heist or mandatory high number would be a nightmare, knowing Rockstar, if one guy drops or dies somehow, you have to redo the entire heist or setup again and from my experience, it's just too frustrating to rely on randoms. (e.g. In GTA, I had randoms die by crashing their own bike or getting run over by a car or some other stupid reason. Sometimes people even afk or just blow themselves up to troll)

I'm picturing a lunch lady with flabby arms and a hairnet serving one of the programmers in line and going: "Ya know, my kid keeps stealing my crecitcard to buy little dancy things for some sort of Fortnight? It's like drugs to these rugrats."

And the programmer just drops his tray in slowmotion. "My god, Eunice! You're right!"

And now he's sweating at home, wondering how he'll face the boss. Feverishly thinking of ways to explain why this stuff isn't generating money... In the end he can't.

He scribbles a note his wife will find later, next to his body, when she comes home from work. She'd just been to the lingerie shop, to buy something special because they would be celebrating their fifth anniversary. But he's slumped in a chair, the LeMat still smoking in his hand...

You guys, we need to buy these emojis. We're killing programmers like this, man!
