LazlowsucksiloveslutS
What type of ambient occlusion does GTAV use? Is it HBAO? MHBAO? I assume it is HBAO because it has low and high levels - am I wrong?
MrQuiche
In the settings.xml it's saying "SSAO" (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion). The high and low levels are just scaled up or down and are save using numbers, for me ambient occlusion is set to "High" in the in-game menu but in the "settings.xml" file it's actually called "2"
rollschuh2282
in the update.rpf is a file called hbaosettings.xml so maybe it uses hbao
LazlowsucksiloveslutS
SSAO is a very old technology. GTAV for PC came out in 2015. Watch Dogs released in 2014 uses HBAO, so does Mafia 3 released in 2016. Maybe ssao is a leftover setting from 360 version.
