SM00V 0PERAT0R
Why did Franklin freeze when he saw Chad Mulligan? I mean, aside from giving the mission a chase scene, thermal vision opportunity, and all that totally necessary stuff body scanning stuff to get gold... does anyone have any idea why Franklin jumps out and says "Hey motherf*cker!" with his gun drawn, then does nothing, then says "Oh f*ck" and allows Mulligan to turn around, run, and get in his car then drive off? 6fangedcutthroatTV
Well, the car was the target, not The Chad. Why kill an innocent guy when you were tasked by someone else to take his car, you know? Franklin had to reason to hurt him, it's not like he was a cop pointing at a weapon-holding criminal resisting - it was an innocent having his car stolen. So for this reason, I think that's why Franklin did not shoot. Edited March 20, 2019 by HelloMyNameIsHuman SM00V 0PERAT0R

Yeah but you can just kill him later on in the mission anyway Plus, I don't think Franklin would have that kind of complex considering half the things you are able (and have to do) to get away with in this game. 6fangedcutthroatTV
Yes, you can, however that's you. Franklin, as you can see, cares not to kill someone otherwise not involved over a car, just my opinion. You are able to do many things, there are not many occasions where an innocent must die. SM00V 0PERAT0R
Right on both accounts. You can kill him later, if you want. Or let him live and get a wanted level then be forced to evade police in the Z-Type. Either way, your choice. However, tasers are available, and my whole point is that Chad was pretty brave to just ignore the weapon drawn on him and that Franklin froze entirely. Right? Even if he was not going to kill him, a warning shot through the window or in the air etc etc, or, if he was smart, instead of announcing himself, close the gap and force your way between Chad and the car. All the same, I just wonder why the dialogue and why Franklin froze, allowing Chad to run. F is not the freezing type, as we saw earlier in the missions - like Lesters initial assassination mission you have to complete before Eye in the sky to advance in the story. Just peaked my curiosity is all. Probably no other explanation aside from the way they wanted the mission to take place, but still, a bit of a dumb scenario IMHO. (I think a bit too serious sometimes, especially in those scenarios) 6fangedcutthroatTV
6fangedcutthroatTV
Because Chad is The Chad. He froze for the same reason that Donald Trump took a Double Take at Kevin McCallister in Home Alone 2. See, in Home Alone 1, everyone is trying to get into Kevin's house (the two bandits, one a Trevor, one a Michael). Yet Kevin placed, and keeps placing, traps for anyone who tries to enter His home without permission and with bad intentions. However, Kevin's Family is welcome to enter His home whenever they want. It is very related. Kinda like those 1988 back to the future time travel things. Chad is the Wanted Man. The Elusive Target. Stops people dead in their tracks or makes them double take when they see Him. The Chad is a representation not unlike our Kevin there, who got noticed by Trump when Trump accepted Him into His own House: Everyone here after reading and seeing that. Those characters are as Deer in the Headlight of a very, very rare car, that's all. A Phantom that some say drives itself. It's all very related. In fact, everything will be related. 6fangedcutthroatTV
Heh, you read a revelation to the question you asked. Ask another. Does anything else confuse you about the game?
Aquamaniac
Shooting in a neighbourhood might alert the Cops, not ideal if you steal a multi million dollar car. 6fangedcutthroatTV
