This guy bypassed my parlay and was still able to kill me. Is it cheating or what?

This guy was griefing me so I parlayed.

He came back and killed me so I parlayed again.

So he came back and he's greyed out on the map I can't lock onto him or damage him. He still kills me.

I confronted him saying he's cheating he's telling me "no it's in the 60 dollar guide book I'm not cheating"

Are you sure you went into Parley? If you were doing stranger missions for example you can't Parley. 

 

It's hard to say if he was cheating or not without a video of the event and only one side of the situation.

 

I often get messages telling me I'm a hacker/cheater for simple things like running SB. It's all about perspective.

Maybe not cheating but could be a bug in the game. Anything is possible while its in beta. I was getting killed by someone who had just finished a mission. Both of the players who were in the mission were ghosted and I wasn't able to kill them but one of them was able to kill me. After they killed me 3 times I just switched sessions. I don't think that was cheating but something broken with the game.

There are a couple of ways to avoid a parley or even a camp passive mode.  I think mostly it involves joining or disbanding a posse.  I think a posse leader can start a stanger mission and you can be killed.  The tryhards in this game....smh, they always find a way to abuse the mechanics.

What you are describing looks like the latest "passive mode" aka "god mode" which also allows to kill you own teammates during a showdown. 

 

I have read about that on other forums dedicated to those kind of glitches, it is also all over YT ; if you make a quick search you should find out quick.

The passive mode glitch should definitely be patched if it gives players an unfair advantage like that.

Had several encounters with posses ending parley whenever they feel like it, not sure I even want to know how they do it but it is cheap anyway. Oddly endough these people also seem to spawn right on top of each other, whereas you will spawn in another state when killed ( not that far, I'm taking the piss but still very far away)

 

Just know there is no parley during any time you and the opponent are engaged in a stranger mission. Not even in your camp.

There's definitely something like a glitch to kill parleyed players, even before the latest update.

I had a solo player attack me, I killed him a few times as he came back for me until he eventually decided to parley. I went afk and he sneaked up on me and killed me with a bow, but I had my menu open and the parley was still on, yet he managed to headshot me. He had no mission going on and was in no posse, had only his camp close, maybe it has something to do with the white flag.

 

This was before the update. Something is up

Probably the game itself having errors. I've parlayed and ended up literally right next to the person I was parlaying with. I also had someone parlay with me and end up in my Camp which was right behind me. Strange.

This is what I thought, if you Parley and then either player starts a Stranger mission within the 10 minutes, the Parley is cancelled.

 

It's exploitable, but I'm not sure how it could be fine tuned to work better.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I was hunting in free roam. 

 

The guy who did it to me was "Ayo Whats Gucci" on xbox (of course :rolleyes)

 

When I messaged him and asked him what was the fun in shooting someone in the back while hunting, he said: "hunting is not allowed when I am present."

 

Then when I asked what was the fun in griefing others who have no interest in fighting, he replied: "It's part of the game. Stop whining about it."

 

So, someone remind me again how invite only lobbies are such a bad thing?
