JohnMcLoviin
Can someone please explain the logic behind dripfeeding? (Other than giving players some time to grind for more gold and $). Most players already have enough money or gold to buy some of the new clothing items, and if they don’t, they will just grind for more m0ney or purchase some gold anyway. They just want to draw people back on the game by baiting them with this sorta ahem* content. Make it time limited and some guys will be quick to whip out the credit card knowing the grindy nature of the game. Semaj 2JZ♢
Yeah, make even more of your limited amount of content available for a limited time only, because that's real smart for a "beta" product. ghostsoap01, Shadowfennekin, Lonely-Martin and 2 others
JoeFury1997
Silly emotes and limited clothing? Why the f*ck do they think copying fortnite is a good idea? The multiplayer director needs to get his sh*t together honestly, there's better ways to get people to spend money on gold and that's worthwhile content. Only holiday styled clothing should be limited like Christmas stuff, not normal clothing. Dr.Rosenthal
This is just pretty depressing... I hadn't expected anything big of course - with this being part of the post-update dripfeed -, but still. All the sh*t that we've spewed over their obsession with GTAO's AM's throughout the years, and now, with a completely new game in 2019, we just keep getting more AM's and time-limited clothing. So f*cking depressing and boring. Not saying the game is sh*t, I still enjoy spending time in this world and parts of it are really, really good. But it'd just be nice if we'd get to see a bit of a more visionary approach to online game-making instead of this sleep-inducing re-branding of decade-old ideas. Happy Hunter
My main complaint for the mode is the same on I have for most the others - it's just too cluttered and crammed in. You spawn, and right from the spawn you can see the other team's base, and are being shot at instantly. What's wrong with spacing it out a bit? Maybe my memory's off, but I don't remember Redemption 1 having such cluttered spawns. Limited time clothing - the collector/OCD/whatever you want to call it, it tells me to buy them. Then I see every different colour costs as well. Did me a favour with that actually, now I'm not buying clothes I didn't want in the first place. Nothing really surprising. Need more content that isn't showdown modes. Not only more missions, but more to do in free mode. Gta online was broke for months but even that had way more content at launch. Dripfeeding clothing that's also limited and selling emotes at high prices is a bad sign and we as fans just want content that's worthwhile. I honestly hate it, wish it was just a big package I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I actually prefer a dripfeed. I like the buzz every week or every two weeks when there's something new to look into, and I'd much rather have that than a big package update and then 4 months of nothing. But, like I said, maybe that's just me. It just pains me that what's being dripfed is so mediocre and bland. I need more activities in free mode, as long as free mode gameplay isn't updated it's still just the same old game as far as I'm concerned. Business Battles for GTAO was a great addition, inclusion of CEO/MCs's, VIP work and all free mode businesses made GTAO feel a whole lot more alive. Red Dead Online could be so much more if there'd be a heavier focus on free mode activities. Nothing wrong with competitive Capture the Flag matches. Nothing much exciting about it either. raysis and imburgundy
JoeFury1997
Dripfeed keeps players logging in every week until the next update and works well in gta because at least we get a new vehicle usually along with an event week. Unfortunately the content they're releasing for red dead doesn't pull me in every week, partly because they can't do much with the time period and because I don't care too much about a limited jacket. tonko
Update regarding new Showdown mode Spoils of War Different name but in it's core it's Hold your Own from RDR multiplayer. Played it for an hour and i like it. Maps are not that great but with a Creator i could tune it up and make some sick maps in Valentine, Tumbleweed and of course recreate the one from the original in Armadillo. Original most be honoured with updated map. Already fired up PS3 and RDR so i can take photos of the map, weapon pickups and spawns. if we get a Creator i'll do my best. All i need now is Team Shootout and i'm set. No more Most Wanted, Name your Weapon, Make it Count. No more 5 teams. I'm i simple man. Give me 2 teams, a gun, decent map and i'll enjoy it. One more thing, i don't know was this Feedback effect or something already planned but i sent loads of feedback regarding PVP modes from the original to be included. Still, who knows so don't blame me guys Edited March 12, 2019 by tonko Dr.Rosenthal, Happy Hunter, Potter145 and 7 others
Shane_Dbns
They can add limited time items that can only be bought with gold but they can't be arsed to fix the numerous bugs that have been there since launch (and new ones like story missions failing to launch) Also another PvP mode that's worthless because the combat in this game is rubbish due to lock-on and ability cards. The sooner Hardcore/Free aim comes, the better... If it ever does coach_wargo and ghostsoap01

The online game is 100% free, we got what we paid for with 60 hours long story mode. I can agree that dripfeeding sucks in a beta, but on the other side maby they must release it in small updates to prevent more bugs, same time make a reason for us to come back and check out the new stuff just like in the other online games.. If not it do not make sence to dripfeed it in so small updates week by week.. I realy like the new mode that they added today, best PvP mode so far if u ask me. I can understand the frustrations this beta make, i was very frustrated myself for a while after release and until the update we got late february. It’s a huge massive world with a lot of things that can go wrong, that must explane why the beta lasting long. Send them feedback vs just hate the game.. It’s so detailed, fences that get the wood ripped of in a gunfight, nice detailed weapons and outfits, the sounds from weapons and the damage a dynamite cause it’s just hilarious. Yeah, barebones mode no cards, wouldn't be popular obviously because after all you pay so much cash for that stuff and invest a lot of time in leveling them, so players oughta use em. Also doesn't profit R* in any way to just have people having a fair and leveled playing field and enjoy themselves. lol tonko

Rokushakubo
About what I expected but the fact that all new clothes weren't unlocked sucks a fat one. Still, I'll farm on and amass more wealth cause I still believe in the game's potential. Might pick up Resident Evil 2 soon though and slow down a lil. I think that's part of the problem; if people are like me they zero in on one lifestyle game at a time and put all their free time into it. Putting all that time into a beta product isn't really the smartest move because you just ended up bitter that the pre-launch content can't match the amount of time you have to pour into it. Talisman_83
R* MUST come up with something substantial amd wildly different than what has been introduced thus far. The way I see it, there is a section of the community, however large that is, which is unsatisfied with the direction this game is taking. Time-sensitive availability of clothing items and endless adversary modes does not a great online experience make. Private lobbies, temporary camp that spawns near you, the ability to purchase ranches and homesteads, illegal businesses i.e. moonshine distillery, cattle and sheep thievery etc and HEISTS, for starters. One problem R* is going to have to face soon, is that more players are generating large sums of cash and gold, with nothing worthwhile to spend it on. If R* wants us broke and chasing the next dollar / gold nugget, then they need to deliver things which are so desirable that everyone wants one.
