Grotti vs. Pegassi

As the title reads; which brand do you prefer and why?

This is a long span rivalry in real life, obviously between Ferrari and Lamborghini. Their respective cars are very well portrayed in GTA Online and therefore it’s interesting to read your opinions about these fantastic cars.

I really don't think Ferrari(Grotti) is properly represented in the game.

I mean, sure we have the ItaliGTO, GT500, Cheetah Classic and Turismo Classic...Beautiful cars all around who were crafted with care and respect for the real life counterparts(minus the GTO and it's ridiculous flags)..

But then you have the whole rest of Grotti roster who are subpar at best:

Turismo R is a 2014 car that is just too slow and poorly detailed in general, with that stupid interior with colored gauges that every supercar had until I/E.

Cheetah is even worse, a 2013 car that doesn't know what the f*ck it is, it tried to be the Enzo but failed spectacularly at it...The dashboard fits the steering wheel POV but doesn't fit the car.

All models of Stingers just looks plain wrong, the Stinger GT being the most to be blamed here(why is the engine in the back and why does it sounds like a 4 cylinder?!?!), also their obviously reused supercar dashboards doesn't fool nobody with those LED screens for the radio.

Carbonizarre is meh, drives just fine and has a cool foldable hardtop, but that sedan interior ruins it.

Visione is not a Ferrari, period.

The Brioso R/A is a Fiat, and even though Fiat owns Ferrari, I refuse to believe that a Fiat can be a Ferrari...I don't even consider the gorgeous 90's Fiat Coupe as even remotely close to be a Ferrari, even though it had some of its design made by Pininfarina...And the new 500 is just ridiculous.

X80 Proto is a abomination.

...And I even forgot the Bestia GTS exists.

I'm more of an Enus/Übermacht kind of guy, but I enjoy a good Grotti or a Pegassi.

I love my Monroe as much as I love my Bestia GTS & I enjoy driving my Infernus Classic as much as I do the Turismo Classic. The Toros is easily one of my top 5 in the game as well.

That said, I agree with @Pedinhuh. Grotti is not well represented in the game.

The Stinger triplets & the Cheetah are just terrible, no dancing around it.

The Turismo R is meh at best ... It looks like sh*t when you compare it to its nemesis, the T20. They should've brought back the Turismo instead.

The Carbonizarre is okay, but the Aston Martin Zagato influence is so prominent it could easily pass as a Dewbauchee.

The Cinquecento shouldn't have been branded as a Grotti. Yes Fiat owns Ferrari & I'm aware of the Abarth 595, but still.

The less said about the  X80 & Visione the better.

On the Pegassi side, the Infernus should burn in hell. I've hated that piece of sh*t ever since I first laid my eyes on it 11 years ago.

Turismo R in my oppinion was the best they could do at the time, and i think with the right paintjob it is a great looking car, but the interior is terrible. (i dont even know wht they used that interior in so many cars having better options).

Cheetah although i like it i have to admit the model has a complete identity crysis, it wants to be everything and end up looking like nothing.

Stingers are really good looking, not that much ferrarish but i really like them. the GT is probably one of the most detailed non dlc cars.

Carbonizzare is an irrelevant car in my oppinion, the fornt reminds me of a beaver tho.

Visione shoud have no brand, doesnt look like any real car. I mean it looks good but doesnt fit any of the brands.

Brioso is a cool car but why they havent invented like a "cheap italian car brand" to put it in there.

X80 is yes an abomination

Bestia GTS i totally disagree with you, i think is a beautiful machine. They captured very well the FF design in a wat that looks original, the only complain i have is the rear lights that could be only the rounded part.

HOOOWEVER, in the other side we have :

Infernus which is a GTA classic but looks overall very bad, the headlights are terrible, the engine cover is poorly made, the rear looks strange and unfitted.

Tezeract which is the abomination with esteroids, and is eletric to make it even worse.

Zentorno that looks like some one off payed by an asian billionaire

Osiris that has one of the most ugly headlights ever seen (competing with the infernus).

I like them both the same and have one floor in the office garage for both.

Pegassi:

Monroe

Torero

Infernus Classic

Infernus

Vacca

Tempesta

Zentorno

Grotti:

GT500

Stinger Topless

Cheetah Classic

Turismo Classic

Carbonizzare

Itali GTO (still need to buy, waiting for a sale tbh)

Turismo R

I generally agree with Pedinhuhs post except the part about Turismo R and Carbonizzare.

There are things that could be better on both sure but overall these are very nice cars imo and with the right customization options feel very ferrari like.

Well I guess I'm more of a Grotti guy as I have more of those. And Ferarri has more cars in real life I liked, though the last one I actually liked was the f430.

The in game list goes

Grotti:

Turismo classic

Cheetah classic (2)

GT500

Itali GTO

Pegassi:

Infernus classic

Torero

Monroe

Tempesta

Osiris

At least as far as I remember.

Pegassi over Grotti any day. Tempesta, Zentorno, Monroe, Torero, Infernus C, Infernus, Toros even the Osiris are absolutely gorgeous and amazing to drive. Sure Grotti has the Turismo C, Turismo and Cheetah C, but the rest of them are eh and meh at best.

Grotti, because they have a nice range of good-looking cars from multiple eras.  Pegasi has. . . a bunch of modern piles of sharp edges, plus a decent Countach lookalike.  Their only truly classic, the Monroe, is a sad imitation of its source material.  Looks more like a Fiberfab kit car than a Miura.

^^yeah doesn't look like they are going to make this.. they will go forward with the asterion instead. Might be interesting.

For me..

Ferrari over Lamborghini any day..

And Grotti over pegassi.

Ferraris are still (for now) purer and closer to their roots than Lamborghinis.

Aaah that estoque is a fkin stunner though.. so evil.

@Scottiedog123 Yeah, unfortunately its too late for the Estoque.

It breaks my heart that sedans are dying for crossovers and suvs, is the biggest retrocess in terms of car design in history. If lamborghini used the opportunity to produce the estoque back in 2008 i am sure it would sell.

The world is changing so much and so is the motoring world, I know I'm getting older but I don't like the way it is going. Nevertheless.. it's going to be an interesting couple of decades to see what happens to cars as we know them.

I can see, a bunch of eletric garbage in form of suvs and crossovers. Eletric cars arent actually the future, they are being pushed by governments in order to be the future, the production and destination of the batteries can cause more polution than standard engines if eletric become the rule, and no one talk about it, also is the world  capable of supplying the energy required to charge millions of cars ? Cars the way we like will become thing from the past. A nostalgia trip that will cause us to be a joke between the youngers, and i couldnt care less.

What i think however, is that there is way more ground to internal combustion engines if the governments stop to put their finger into the car production. Maybe in the US this is impossible to imagine, but in europe is already a reality.

Me too. As much as I love crazy HiPo SUVs, losing sedans is the not the way to go. The way I see it, the cycle is being repeated, Fuel is cheap ish, people buy SUVs, Fuel goes up during the next recession, people flock to sedans & compacts ... they never learn. Plus, the SUV craze is creating a whole generation of SUV-haters who'll associate them with "Mom Mobiles" like their parents did with Minivans & Station Wagons. .... If liberal government's didn't have their way that is.

Same. I don't like what I'm seeing at all. between the push for full autonomous driving & ditching V12s & V8, & banning cars all together (Paris, Frankfurt ...etc), Its a dark future for us car people.

The thing that bothers me the most is converting valuable classics into EVs. I get converting cars produced in high numbers like the Beetle & whatnot, but converting a low production collectable with a cultural impact is just ... ugh. AM & JLR are already converting DBs & Es ... What's next? a Miura? a 250? an F40? .... just ugh.

Neither the Technology or the Infrastructure is there to support it. Liberal governments are being naively shortsighted. This is the Diesel push all over again, They push it heavily & realize 20-30 years from now it was a mistake.

About the petrol crysis you might be right, at some point the fuel will get crazy expensive and the SUVs will be seen as the muscle cars were in the late 70s. Seems like is a cycle that never stops. Dunno why people want so much to sit higher, is like a way to hide insecurity or fear?

When i saw that eletric E-type i thought to myself "is jaguar trying to depreciate their image even more? I need to teach these dumb executives what a classic car even mean". converting to eletrics seems like a disease among the classic cars the same way as liberty walk is to lamborghinis and JDMs.

The only good thing about eletric vehicles, is that they open the way to small brands become more relevant, and then build their real engine. But who needs to came up with an eletric car when you can get a LS9 probably cheaper ?

Honestly, Pegassi only really has one botched design in game, and that’s the Infernus.

hate me all you want, but that thing, with its irremovable roof scoop and rediculous Zonda inspired rear, is an abomination.

Also, the actual Huayra inspired car and the Reaper are both a mess too.

Otherwise, everything they’ve got is pretty solid.

How can you say that the tezeract is solid ? That thing is the worse looking car in this game history, and is eletric. I agree the infernus look pretty bad and the reaper is kinda confuse tho.

I don't like it either, I like having a big sedan with a V8 and comfort oriented soft suspension. I'm not a fan of the bloated station wagons they call crossovers and I certainly don't like cars smaller than a mid size. Largely because I don't fit in them (Too tall) and because it's rare to find a V6 equipped model. We're going to lose our choice in vehicles if Looney green freaks get their way, I mean have you seen the crap in that so called green new deal? It'll not only wreck the economy but also force everyone into crummy little supposedly eco friendly cars that need an awful lot of electricity to run. And where will those batteries go when they die? Where is the power going to come from? You'd need to place windmills and solar plants all across the great plains in order to just power the state's of Texas and California alone and if there's no wind and the sun ain't shining we're going to have a few problems. These regulations are making cars prohibitively expensive for the average person, and when $36,000 doesn't even get you a decent sized V6 model there's something going wrong and it isn't necessarily due to inflation.

I totally agree, these so called progressives that think their pro heavy over regulating governments are the answer to problems in the world today are only going to exacerbate the issues. Ideas that some of these people are pushing might seem great on paper to them, but in practice they're disasters waiting to happen. Look what socialism did to Venezuela...

At least in US you can get a nice used car for pretty low values, cars like the Cadillac CT6 and the Lincoln continental will lose like 2/3 of their value in about 5 years. For me who lives in latin america, i have almost no choice, or i go with an SUV, or a compact car, or a mix of the two. The only alternative is to find a nice "muscle" car with about 30 years which are becoming extremely rare nowadays (my goal but not tell anybody). You can also find a bettle from time to time

Americans have no idea how lucky they are in terms of car world.

Hopefully what happened in France recently sent a loud & clear message to all governments around the world. Overtaxing fuel push people to their limits.

I get choosing a CUV due to bad roads, but I never got the "safety" thing. They're very likely to tip over in a crash.

Perfect analogy with the LB fenders 👌.

@Standard Deluxe 59

Preach it brother! I agree 100%.

Can you imagine the pressure tens of thousands of EVs will put on an already stretched thin electricity grid during summer times in a big City?

It's sad how much people here take the choice in so much we have up here for granted. Even sadder are the many people who want everything to change and be more like Europe. And yeah, a lot of the cars I see that cross here from Mexico are Chevy branded Corsas, Nissan Platinas, Tsurus, Tilda/Versa and the occasional Renault Duster.

Yeah I'm in the desert southwest in a city with about 700,000 in the metro area and as is we have occasional power outages in the summer due to strain on the power plants from everyone using air conditioning. I don't even want to think about what adding I couple thousand electric vehicles charging would do.

I swear a peice of me died the day Daewoo's wore a Chevy badge over here. I grew up in Chevy's. Most people over here think they are some Korean company, fk off with that sh*t. If you want to hear a sad rebranding let me tell you about how in the late 80's Pontiac resurrected the Le Mans nameplate, from the name sharing compact Korean Daewoo Le Mans. Yeah, that hurt a lot of purists.
