fordy929
I've been looking all over the net for the release date of the PC version of GTA Vice City in australia but no one knows does anyone here know?
Opius
Knowing how long it takes our damn government to check games coming into the courty for 'inappropriate' content (we are the only Western country that does this), a conservative guess would be about June 1. Samoth
It's really sad, isn't it? I mean, adults who are capable of underestimating a youths intellect so much to decide to remove bullsheet content to keep people from learning things they've known since they were 3. fordy929
lol yea.. it's pretty pathetic but if the game isn't cut and sold to people under 18 some dickhead parent will complain and try to sue rockstar games because their kid purchased and played a game that had inappropriate language... "you can sue any one for pretty much anything and you'll probably win or at least get a settlement"
SniperGuy
I don't understand why parents don't realize that IT'S ONLY A VIDEO GAME. They think that it can affect our minds to copy what happens along in the game. Ok, so that means if I play Dead to Rights then I will be diving in slow motion, while shooting people? Mini-Gun
VC is not a game for kids. I have always protested against editing games but Vice needs it. Not just getting rid of the hookers (thats not really that big an issue) but kids shouldn't be seeing the cut-scenes in the Film Studio and some other stuff too. Don't you remember what it was like to be a kid? To know that all you wanted to do was to see quality entertainment, and stupid people who don't remember what it was like to be a kid want to censor it for you? Parents keep their children from this in order to keep them from having bad ideas and help them to become upstanding good hearted human beings. But, when you were in kindergarden or whatever, you remember that the kids who were censored by their parents, the kids who didn't know anything about real life were the ones noone played with -- When you're being bullied in your youth, you think that will help you become a great person? My uncle, god bless him, gave me Terminator 1 for my 6th birthday. Think of this, when you're that age it's when you are the most imaginative, you create instead of consume. You need to be inspired when you're a kid and THAT will really help you evolve. Thing is, you can't CAN'T be inspired by anything, TV, cinema or whatever that was made souly for children. You think Pokemon will help you evolve? Only entertaiment that was made for non-children has quality in it, sadly. With some exceptions ofourse, like Astrid Lindgren childrens books/movies, but adults enjoy them too. The thing is, whether you become a good person or not has nothing to do with what kind of entertainment you are exposed to. It has to do with what kind of person you were BORN AS. Some people are evil, sadistic, manipulative whatever. They won't get any worse or better from what they see on the telly. Sure, some things WILL scar you and can change you as a person. Like if you're beaten/raped every day until you're an adult, SURE. But, a game Like Vice City. A LAID BACK COMEDY game which makes you laugh every 5 minutes, you think you will become any different a person from playing that? Maybe a happier person, if anything. And do you think a 17 year old will learn anything they didn't already know? I mean, 8 year olds today know all the swear words and use them constantly, they joke about sexual stuff, they KNOW what a bloody prostitute is. People are so stuffed with the fact that children shouldn't see certain things, yet they need to step back for a minute and see why not. People need to start remembering what it was like to be a child.
haravikk
It's an 18 game, if parents allow their children to play an 18 game then they shouldn't be able to have a case. Besides, the cutscenes in the film studio don't show anything
