-LN-
6 hours ago, Mad-Monkey_1st said: Eat plenty big game you will soon be obese lol I'm probably doomed; I pretty much only eat big game meat and I've been in the overweight category as far back as I can remember. Not that I or anyone else can really tell though; I have the "average" body size, but there's too much pressure on being the perfect weight and it seems like such a hassle trying to keep it up or down. It's never really affected me though; at least nothing too significant to notice on my end. The seasoned big game meat yields golden cores within their respective categories and if I'm about to clear a hideout, defend a camp, etc, I'll just have a big meal and wash it down with a bottle of potent snake oil and/or whichever tonic(s) that I need. I'm not going to starve myself to the point where my cores are all in the red; I'm not going to run around the map on foot all day; and I'm most certainly not going to obsess about it and let it turn my hair grey. Assblaster
I wish R* would just turn off the weight gain system. It causes clipping, which ruins clothes you've paid gold for. If you can't implement a system right, don't do it in the first place. P.S. I should be able to eat 3 square meals a game day without getting obese, especially with all the activity my character does. Granted I didn't test this out but doesn't really make sense to add variable character weight and only have it visibly effect certain body types. Edit: but then again if Labo is correct above then maybe I'm wrong lol. The difference in my characters appearance was quite subtle, maybe I was imagining it /shrug My guy is average build and at 7% overweight, he is noticeably pudgy. Nugsy
I'm glad that it takes longer now for weight changes. I always worked hard at keeping my guy well fed to maintain a 'healthy' 7.5% overweight. I've not seen it change since the update and I can save my candies & crackers. Stringy meat is enough. roggek
My character sprinted straight on foot, from Strawberry to Blackwater, but he is still overweight. The funny thing was that during his sprint, I got the message "Time before kicked for idling :13 mins..." Must have been a bug... IamCourtney
I stayed lean on cheap meat and canned food until now but with all the good seasoned meat they've had us cooking lately I guess I'm overweight now... thought Bernadette would be a goofy looking blimp but honestly she just looks nice 'n' thicc and with a 7.5% health boost I reckon I'll keep her this way. Danish Crusader
Hm... With the Disconnecting issue, I have had to eat a lot of pork because I get disconnected before the server saves my core status. But it does save my weight though, so I am getting quite fat. Gotta start starving my character... Or stop playing seriously for a while, either one =P
Smokewood
I get way too much cardio to be overweight no matter how much I eat. Scrap the system. Assblaster

Which body type did you choose? Something I've yet to figure out; are there different levels of being overweight or is it just all or nothing and will not progress beyond just being "overweight"? For example, if I were to eat all of the servings of big game meat in my satchel at once, then cook off more and do it again, would I expand (no pun intended) beyond just being simply overweight or would doing all of this reflect as well and make it more difficult to lose weight afterwards or alter my physical appearance? I've still yet to notice any changes to my appearance, but I've been wearing a lot of black clothing lately and we all know how that can make you look thinner. However, even when I wear white or lighter colours, I haven't really noticed anything different on my end compared to when I first started playing the game. I don't spend a lot of time at camp, so I never even really thought to replenish my cores there; I tend to notice the drops when I'm out and about, and I just eat and drink tonics to replenish and continue on with whatever I'm doing. Still, I'm not that worried about it; like I've said, I've never really noticed it drastically hindering my routine, performance, or changing my physical appearance, but I'm just trying to figure out how all of this works.
