I've been living on tonics, liqour and tobacco for three weeks now. Still red overweight.

Yeah, I think someone posted somewhere that drinking alcohol makes you gain weight.

I can attest to this due to my real-world field studies as well ;)

I can now happily say that my diet of stringy meat, herptile meat and game bird meat has gotten me to average weight after a 3rd day. I have not touched anything on item wheel foods.

I’m trying to just eat stringy meat to get my cores up. Should work if I don’t want to gain weight, right?

It works. I went from red overweight to average weight in 3 days. I ate only stringy meat, game bird meat, herptile meat and occasional flaky fish. I ate when cores were about half full. I hate empty cores and like to keep them full.

My characters cores are aren’t filling up much at all when I eat food, yet I’m stuck at overweight. It’s like fat bastard with tuberculosis ugh.

Yes.

I know this is overweight thread but I'm finding it very easy to maintain perfect weight. When I logged in today, my character was average. I looked at stats and she had +0.75% damage taken and -0.75% stamina drain. So that was slightly underweight, but still called average. I tried stringy meat and went into showdown. When I backed out later, I was still average. No stats changed. So I ate stringy meat then changed session. The weight still didn't change. So I tried one of the bird or rabbit meat that restores half core and changed session. Now back to perfect.

Finally just got down to average. Still looks the same as over weight though?

Haven't consumed a single piece of food. Just occasional visit to camp and I always have full cores when starting a mission, don't remember it always being like that though.

How do you stop your character getting overweight? Mine is in the red too now but don't I have to eat when my health goes down to almost nothing? Can you just not eat at all?

Rest in your camp to refill your cores. I'm hoping they tune down the weight problem soon though.

^^what he said^^

Use your camp to recharge or use tonics in free roam (not minty big game or ANY big game because you will bloat up quickly).

I was overweight in the red and stopped eating for 4 days in-game. Just tonics and camp. Weight is now "Perfect" and I've maintained that for a couple days now.

I found out something new. I wasn't too sure about it, a few days ago but I'm definite about it now.

The meat that restores whole or nearly whole cores like Big Game Meat and Prime Beef, they give you +1.5% weight gain after changing sessions. The game bird meat and plump bird meat, they give half cores but also +0.75% weight.

I logged in today with -1.5% stamina drain and +1.5% damage taken. I ate one Big Game Meat and changed session. Went back to perfect.

My avatar is on average weight now. It took 4 real life days of fasting to get here. Only reloading the cores at the camp and smoking.

After almost 2 weeks of not feeding my character, his clothes now fit without clipping again.

Drink the gurma rum for stamina and dead eye cores. I dunno if you can equip the ability card(‘s) that refill your health core work on animals kills?

So I had 5 canned foods needed to be eaten for a daily challenge. Figured canned peaches would be ok.

They have a special department purely to do those things that piss off the player base

I managed to eat the 5 canned food without getting back to overweight. I waited till I'm not full to eat the next one and it worked.

I wasn't changing sessions though, didn't join anything, did not fast travel so maybe that helped in preserving the status? I guess most important is that you don't eat when full.

Five cans daily objective and kill 10 players from horseback made my avatar overweight again. 😭

Volunteers enough and I got in a serious furball. So I needed to refill my health core fast.

If you only look at a can of beans you will bloat up.

I got to perfect today also. It didn't last long though, after a couple disconnects it showed this -1.5% stamina drain. I ate a big game meat, and later another. After another disconnect it showed +0,75% on the overweight side of average.

What should one eat once going to perfect to maintain it?

I know now that stringy meat etc gets your weight down slowly but surely. No need to suffer from empty cores or resting at camp.

I would suggest eating having a normal diet per game day as you have yourself in real life and see how it goes

I'm more looking what meat gives +1 weight gain if 1.5 makes you overweight and +0.75 makes you lose weight then would +1 be perfect?

What are the numbers for Venison, Pork, Mutton, etc?
