Springfield
How to maintain the textures when importing .3ds file created in Google Sketchup to 3ds max? I always lose the textures of the map when I imported it in 3ds max. Any solution, brothers? Please, fast!
Tut98
@Springfield are you losing the materials or are the textures not displayed when model imported? If the latter, go to customize in the upper menu > configure user paths. Click on Add, then select the folder in which your textures are kept and re-import the model. Go to viewport setting and enable materials to be displayed in viewport. When you do a render can you still sorta see colors just not the actual bitmaps? If yes then this advice will sort it.
Springfield
None of the above is working.
Tut98
Then i suggest you search around sketchup forum for help. It seems like you're having an issue related to materials, not textures. Make sure that you enable 'export media' or 'export materials' if there are any of them as options.
