Kirk Lazarus Posted March 11, 2019 Share Posted March 11, 2019 Yeah, the mining part is more obvious in the previous game. The previous game didn't have as strong of a world logic structure as the second one. What bugged me more was how it's even more useless in RDR2. It feels like it's really only there to service RDO. If RDO had never happened, I'm not sure we would've seen New Austin. I also suspect the only reason Tumbleweed was updated so it could support RDO as a town to balance the larger region since there's pretty much nothing else going on around it.
