mijwalsh
Hi, I got a gaming computer(desktop) off ebay in 2016 I believe, for the soul purpose of playing fairly high end games like GTA 5(obviously not on the extreme settings) These are the specs: Intel i5 750 2.67 GHz 8 GB RAM NVidia GeForce 760 GTX For a while(not sure specifically) it was running perfectly, most my settings were on high and I was getting 60 fps consistantly. After about a year though, I encountered A problem where the all-round performance would be very bad. For example, I'll start the game, and I'll get around 30-40 FPS, but the game freezes for 10 seconds or-so. And then if I close GTA 5, my computer will act very slugish, usually requiring a restart. Now also note that it isn't just GTA 5 that has this problem, the all-round performance of the computer isn't as good as it was. But the thing that I don't understand is that sometimes (After a lot of tweaking, sometimes even a factory reset without restoring any data) the game will work absoloutely fine, and then the next day return to it's slugish state, meaning it Has the potential to run the game fine, but just doesn't. Also note that all my settings are set to the absoloute lowest. Any help is appreciated!!
