How is last-gen looking these days?

Is it as bad as it sounds? I'm imagining a desolate wasteland full of moneybags and blown up zentornos scattered across an endless field of ferris wheels that a modder named dudebro2923189 spawned in from a jailbroken console. I could be completely wrong though - and instead it's this super chill time capsule of 2015, a far simpler time both in-game and in real life. Either way I've been thinking of going out and buying a PS3 just to experience it again.

I would have to guess that in the right lobbies it would be quite nice. No flying menaces, no outlandish weaponized ground vehicles. Just simply GTA as we remember it.

I still remember it as a bunch of low-level players with no knowledge of the game's mechanics whatsoever, pointing out the legit high-level players for modding.

 

But then again, any form of a modding sh*tshow on last-gen consoles is probably better than experiencing the griefing aspect of the enhanced version.

I popped on there recently to see the cars I used to have and it was actually quite peaceful. Surprisingly less killing going on there than on ps4 and it was a full session with 15 people in it.

Bought a nice-ass PC and scaled down my game collection just for the enhanced edition?

 

I could've stayed with the last-gen experience, come to think of it; having $700m to freely spend on customizing street vehicles, checking out different properties, and experimenting with Pegasus vehicles. I could have stayed with doing whatever I wanted and R* couldn't give two sh*ts about it!

 

Now, the grind is real...and i'm back with the awful feeling of always being griefed and strapped for cash, transaction records and all that bullsh*t. I really miss those times now.

Way too many modders and hackers. Last year, before i sold my Xbox 360 i went in for a last peek. My level was 359 (legit, i played a lot in the first 3 years of the game). Not a good experience, my character level and money went negative and my 3 year character got f*cked.

The concept of playing a game limited to Heist Part I vehicles pleases me, but I'm sure I couldn't bear the graphics, its just too old from gameplays I watched on YT. 

 

I already find PC version disgustingly washed, I can't even use Reshade+ENB on my main account, I've to play on secondary account to enjoy the game with some good graphics, since I don't care if it gets banned, at least there I will enjoy a really enhanced version of the game. 

 

I miss GTAO 2016 so bad though :(, the three first months I played were best, I didn't realized it until IE Ruiner and a fortiori GR Oppressor were released.

afaik its not possible anymore but you can play them when they are already playlisted.

 

do a search in socialclub with tags missions ps3 and youll find a lot of playlists inclusing convected and many more.

The poor comment was a tongue in cheek reference to the fact that the players haven't upgraded to current gen rather than their in-game affluence.

 

(I remember that it took me ages to upgrade from PS1 to PS2 back in the day as I had just bought a house and had no spare money to get one)

They had scrapped a number of those jobs later on. Including Chemical Extraction & ATV Steal.

 

I have no clue why they did so, though.

Laziness, mostly. Good guess for ChemEx is that it replicated parts of the HL heist too much but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I miss Pick Up Sticks.

people with eggs in the head, ufos blocking the airplane spawn points at vespussi and the hospital, random modder doing a money drop at the airport.

 

some freeroam warriors rollin on the floor like tumbleweeds thanks to the still unpatched endless combat roll script, etc etc etc

the hacking programm was/is broken. often not worked correctly so they removed this mission. best mission ever. so much fun.

 

anyway: American exports? anyone? hardest mission ever. were removed as the buzzard spawned, after youve collected the container,  very often incorrect ( often in off-the-map-mode )
