Yeah, I understand, it's just that some glitches are so readily available. I don't go through a world of trouble to get a godmode glitch on GTAO, I don't like to cheat that way. But as soon as I saw the Op Mk2 speed glitch, I tried it, learned it in 30 seconds and then used it. It's the same thing with this money glitch. You literally have just gotta ride to a location and start picking up stuff.

 

Did you own the Op Mk2 and decided not do the speed-glitch, even though it sped up your crate collecting considerably? What about the MTU method (I've never used the MTU method myself, mind...)? When someone gifted me $1.3B on GTAO back in '13, first thing I did was jump on the in-game browser to buy vehicles. R* wiped my account balance but still left me with a couple millions more than I had before as well as a Buzzard, a Rhino and a couple expensive cars.

 

I'm happy I didn't buy every vehicle though. I don't like to have everything for free. But like I said in my first post earlier, it's so grindy to make money on RDO that making a few hundred dollars within a couple hours is very welcome. I really feel like this is nothing unfair towards other players - doing a god mode glitch would be - which is why I say, go ahead and glitch away (and if you choose not to do so, it's like saying no thanks to a free lunch).

 

But to each their own and I respect your sentiment!

I bought the broomstick, used it about 3 times, lol. I hate the thing. To collect crates I mix up what cars I use as I've a large collection and am a driver/racer at heart big time, I'd use the Buzzard for the crates at sea though sometimes I'd use my boats too as I bought all those too, lol.

 

I tried the MTU thing once but couldn't go on call which is 99% of my game. Soon saw that as a no-go but was curious of it and through frustration of hostile public crap building up, I had a look. Not for me, and sessions split or finding a new one often lands us in an empty public so never needed that to avoid the toys/incentives to attack R* added to businesses. That said, I don't do much more than a nightclub sale per week as I quit most all businesses because of how public went. It's not for me as it's far too hostile and hateful. (And when my account got tinkered with by a mod menu user, I quit and only returned when I saw current gen was safe from that. Started over fresh, lol).

 

Not to sound arrogant, but I really am a fully legit gamer that takes pride in achieving all that can be without cutting corners. It's until session choice comes that I won't return to this game as I've no interest in that much (potential at least) PvP, even less so now knowing everyone's cheating cash to fill those daft cards up to have advantages in a fight, lol.

 

I agree, R* f*cked the game from day one and keep on f*cking with gamers, of course many will stock up on that stuff, lol.

But I personally don't use exploits to further my gains in a video game especially one i enjoy

I've been a day one..almost daily player and have only managed to hit rank 54 recently 

The time I've put in has mostly been legitimate

I did do the manor jewelry one for about an hour and got bored..same with the cop grinder...I just found its not for me.So I don't plan on doin this one at all.

I'll just get what I get playing and so far I feel that I'm doing just fine

This sh*t is getting really stupid now, don't know to which extent this glitch f*cks with the game but with the constant spawning/despawning of peds carcasses wagons in these sessions hardly any activity I try seems to work. Also a lot of times I get no xp for killing anything that's how laggy it is with 20 people doing this at the same time. Hopefully patched soon. Don't care what they do with player took part in, though I find it pretty scummy for those that legit grinded up these cards and bought pamphlets. Soon they all be running around with express ammo. R better not wipe anyone legit in a case of mass justice.

Idk hard to tell since they do not communicate anything at all anyway. They certainly would kill their game by wiping progresses or money. I find it odd honestly this glitch is still running, one woulda thought they'd disable the wardrobe or calling for horse/ grey out stuff at butcher like they can do obviously. A bit worrying not to be sure what these assholes do next. Maybe they just gonna stop wildlife spawning at all until sorted make red dead even deader LOL

One of R*s problems is that their only consistency is their inconsistency. Sometimes they do nothing, others they napalm the player base catching "cheaters" and legit players alike.

 

I still have my original old gen GTAO account that I transferred to PC, it's full of cash drop money (that I never looked or asked for), billionaire bounty days money, hooker glitch funds etc. and it's never been touched, yet many legit PC players have suffered cash wipes and even bans for no reason. That's not a brag, just an indication of how R* can't seem to get their so called anti cheat to work correctly.

 

In my opinion, RDO has gone too far for a blanket progress wipe, which does make me fear an incoming R* cash wipe. I don't fear it because I've taken part in this glitch, I fear it because R* don't care about the collateral damage to innocent players.

 

I don't think R* would dare embark upon a console ban wave. GTAO has been more than healthy for years, hundreds of glitches have come and gone, but they only ever aimed punitive measures at PC players. RDO is struggling, the last thing R* (and T2) need is thousands of social media posts from players saying they have been banned for no reason or even complaining about a blanket progress reset. 

 

I simply don't think RDO could recover from such an event.

No, horses and saddles are discarded with no payment, even gold only horses.

Personally i won't do it , I've hit level 96 , got all my pamphlets,  ability cards,  weapons horses and 2 special saddles with 5 grand cash. I haven't even played in 3 days as there's nothing left to play for now , so I've got no need to to risk all my legit grinding whether R* wipe or not

And that's the other thing about doin these exploits ...is everyone cashes up and gets everything ..then complains there is not enough content..lol

 

When people like myself have just enjoyed the game and found that they actually did a pretty good job at keeping a player invested in the game and unlockables.

At least for me anyways 

Now this latest nerf to the amount of animal spawns kinda sucks..but I'm far enough along that it will only hurt new players coming in

Hopefully they see that, that was a bad idea

im convinced they will do something evil, It may only be dollars they are glitching but if players dont have enough dollars to buy new stuff then some buy gold from store, Thus glitching dollars does affect R* future income as said players wont buy the gold because their earning upto $2000 per hour

They’d be opening up a can of worms by resetting cash... like how bout the butcher glitch that made your pelts disappear... we should all get a refund right... nope, they just fixed it and kept it moving. You wipe when it benefits the players, you better give cash when the player reports a loss. Not gonna happen... it’s beta, we’re testing it for them, so I see nothing wrong. They should be thanking us during this time of beta.

You act like they haven't done cash wipes before, they are able to see whos done what and adjust accordingly if GTAO is anything to go by.

I just have to laugh at Rockstar/TT with the current glitch though; it was just a matter of time before it started happening.

 

And I suspect we haven't seen anything yet; there are a lot of creative players out there.

 

If Rockstar actually cared about quality game play in RDO, and had players' backs, I would actually give a rip about the glitches.

I'll hunt cougars religiously where they spawn, but I won't use a glitch/exploit as I think it's wrong.

Even though R*/TT have been greedy, I wouldn't want to promote an exploit that might result in a wipe - whereby innocent players who grinded hard to get 500 dollars and rank 20 on their weekends (FT workers) suddenly go back to 0.

Sorry/Not sorry. Ok I never glitched or had to cheat to make money in GTAO I just ran my businesses and had a few friend to help me sell and vice versa. The economy was sound. 

 

But.....

 

I iust made shy of 4 grand in the last 24 hours or so doing this. They'll most likely wipe my character and I'll have to start from scratch but I couldn't give a sh*t if they do. They gave us nothing to own so I actually don't have anything to loose. A few pamphlets or the odd horse, but I can get them back doing a solid day of Showdowns.

 

If they can open a Microtransactions store to make money and still call it a "Beta", then I so can I! Isn't Beta all about "testing"? Haven't they thanked us already for being part of said testing? 

 

TL;DR, If the developer is allowed to call it a Beta and put all flaws down to that, then so can then the "testers". 

 

Honestly, they can't ban players for exploiting a glitch in a "Beta", either it's a test or its not. Rockstar can't have their cake and eat it

I can't blame ya. Passive and under the map exploits too, if I'm reading right. Really is showing to be another GTA:O with how R* are managing all that stuff. Probably got to await a future DLC after this dripfeed to see fixes. 

 

Of course, for those keen still, enjoy. Glitches/bugs were inevitably but really was hoping they'd learn to address this stuff quicker than GTA and as its beta, possibly even close the game to fix the bigger things. Alas, can't have tgat gold store closed, lol.

I don't want to sound like a glitch apologist, but I'm not sure how glitches affect the "economy" or other players. It's imagining up a complaint about what others have in comparison to yourself, that their actions hurt you. There is no economy, there is the player, and the player's money stands alone. If R* raises prices to offset some players who glitched, well that's just bad policy from R* - all there is is you the player, and how much money you can make. Everything is available to buy, everything that sells can be resold without limit. No economy. 

 

Problem is for all players, R*'s policy on money, it is a total grind to be able to purchase anything in the game. I would think ideally after one mission, you should be able to buy a hat. Not have to run 10 missions to buy 1 hat, not to mention there's only 7 missions, and 12 hats to choose from. So you already have a complaint, against R*. But not against someone who glitches money to be able to buy all 12 hats.

 

Glitches do ruin your own gameplay, in the simple sense if you can just buy all the useless cometic stuff, you have it, you didn't earn it, and it becomes a boring game. But that affects only the player who glitches, not everyone else. If you want to call that the "economy" it is already a major, MAJOR problem: few, low paying job opportunities + limited, high value goods for purchase.

 

R*'s problem is glitches and exploits that reveal what a mess the game is, as well as the limited amount of content.

If T2 can be greedy, players can be greedy as well. Make better games that don’t make us prefer running back and forth to the butcher to sell dupes in order to make any of it enjoyable. Just sayin’.

 

Also; those of you complaining ”Way to go ruining the game for legit players.”, how often do you seriously hunt panthers? F*ckers spawn twice per century and pays $14 (in perfect condition) - I think you’ll survive without them until R* manages to make a proper fix.

 

Now I’ll play The Witness.
