Fun vehicles on Contact Missions

With double $ on Contact Missions right now, I've been playing so many that doing them over and over again in MKIIs gets boring quick.  So instead, I've been using different ones just to mix it up and been having loadsa fun!

Dune FAV - Oh yes!  This forgotten, obsolete vehicles is great fun on Contact Missions!  Now that the mines can be used on Contact Missions (thanks R*), it has made this vehicle a bit more useful.  Plus, if I'm on my own in it, I love switching seats and using the mounted rifle on the passenger side (it's surprisingly powerful) to mow down enemies or wipe out vehicles.

Barrage - This is is hilarious fun when you have some randoms in it who just go nuts on the guns as you're chasing the Garbage Trucks on Trash Talk!  XD  This truck gets a bit of hate, but I love it, and the look.

Scarab - I love this little tank.  I don't seem to get shot out of it at all when I'm being shot head on, which is handy when chasing targets.  It can carry 4 people and even better, all passengers, including the driver can fire their normal handheld weapons out of the windows for more precision targeting, even with max armour.  Great when shooting a driver out of the seat of a vehicle you need.  Plus because of its weight, you can stop vehicles from moving (they can't push you) and you can simply shoot the driver with your gun.

What are your unusual vehicles you bring out for missions?  MKIIs, Deluxos and Karumas need not apply.

I use Contact Missions as an opportunity to get away from Weaponized Vehicles & get re-acquainted with my civilian cars.

I use the Hunter with Gas Bombs for Crime Scenester though. Clears everything like pesticides lol.

Haha I like that gas bomb tactic for Crime Scenester!  Gonna try that next time with my Akula.  I did the mission today funnily enough in my Scarab.  Charged down the ally, ignoring all the cops, barging them out of the way, jumped out to grab case, got back in and sped off again.  Fastest I've ever done it.

I do contact missions vanilla style too. Also blow up my friend's Oprressor or Deluxo.

Spectre "2K"

I've been using my Comet Safari a lot on contact missions. Just feels so good to drive, getting off-road on the fly isn't a problem. It's pretty darn fast, too

Same as @IceDree, I use contact missions to bring out cars that I haven't used in a while and to get back to that simplified GTA III style of gameplay. Muscle cars and off-roaders are the most fun to use in these, I'd say. :)

Me too, I like showing off cars that I normally wouldn't use on heists. I used to love doing the Pac Standard finale because it was always an excuse for players to roll up to the bank doors in their coolest cars. Don't really get a chance to do that anymore because doing it with newer players is a nightmare. Contact missions have become the new unofficial car show for me.

@Endjinn, if only I could "like" a post twice. Well said, especially the part about rolling to the Pacific Standard in your favourite ride - I always felt exactly like that but didn't know how to describe it, haha. :D

99% of the time, like others above said, I prefer to use regular cars on these. I like to play these away from the 2x period too, and often use my 'coffee break' mission, Where Credit's Due, to tune a new car in my office. I enjoy the plod of these too much to rush with weaponised vehicles.

Although, as I've gathered many weaponised toys over time, and as I'm public lobby-shy, I do use contact missions to get more comfortable in those vehicles too. Not too often but now and then, as I do the same for my invite/solo public ventures and in general I don't like them too much. Except the weaponised Tampa, my favourite of all and a great heisting car for me, though I get out and shoot on heists still, but if I'm with a bad group of players, it is a good back-up. I like to anger the NPC's and then have them run after me while dropping proxy mines, lol.

This week though, can't lie. I'm either solo or with my lad and spamming the ever-loving hell out of these missions, lol. 4 minutes or so a pop, and good ammo savings. I'm so close to rank 1k and this along with races, it really is a time to step it up a gear in one last push for RP. Business as usual very soon indeed. :)

Just use my normal cars. I try to use things that make sense for the distance/complexity of route. For example if I have to go through Vinewood Hills I'll choose a more grippy car like the Vigero, Ellie, Hermes, etc. Long distance straight down the highway, maybe the Viseris, Z Type, etc. For missions I know are short city trips, I'll bring out the wild ones. Vamos, Franken Stange, Hustler, Mamba, etc.

Nothing better than requesting a Merryweather Helicopter Pick Up in High Priority Case to drop you off on top of the Maze Bank tower. Rappelling down then sniping most of the goons on the Mile High Club before parachuting down to the roof then finishing them off.

Then performing a dangerous walk along to crane in order to get down.

Ah, nostalgia.

👀

Now that's something I hadn't thought of. Looks like I have something new to try when I boot the game up. Much appreciated!

I find the contact missions more fun than a lot of the content in the game. why does rockstar insist on hiding them and having people play dispatch over and over?

I was using the menacer yesterday to blow up my friends oppressor, good times. I like using the muscle cars the most but I was getting headshot by the aimgod npcs in my nightshade.

For anything involving swimming, I bring my Daily Driver: Stromberg and put on my diving gear.

Specially for missions were we have to break in the Merryweather Base.

When members of my old crew are with me? I like to go action hero. Classic car (either Phoenix or Manana), Lone Wolf leather jacket, and aviators.

I equipped the Gas Bombs specifically for Crime Scenester the day I bought my Hunter. 😉

I might convert my Mogul one day & try it out.

I'll try your method tomorrow with my RCV & see how it goes.

I do that too!

Muscle cars in the city, SUVs & Off-roaders in the country, & luxury cars for long stretches.

I was driving the Impaler in the city tonight & the Driver 1 soundtrack was playing ... The nostalgia was very strong.

Mach, did you call the Hermes grippy? The Hermes?

I love the scuba gear. Even now, the game feels so calm and relaxed when underwater and it's nice to not need to stock up on rebreathers or keep nearer the surface to get air.

And even more peaceful in story with animals. Well, until a little dot appears nearby, lol. Knife at the ready... Good times!

Judging the Jury started from office to skip the driving, ask Savage to the secretary.

I generally use Hakuchou Drag for Dispatch missions, its my favorite bike, so it regens me in missions, heists...

MKII SMG and hand potato launcher make the real bikes shine imo.

I don't even use any of my PV, just jack someone right on the street, back to the thug days in PS3 gangsta style! LOL

Grand Theft Auto V_20190228190713

Grand Theft Auto V_20190228190859

There are a few missions that requires some "creative thoughts" like high priority case

Grand Theft Auto V_20190228191920Grand Theft Auto V_20190228192016Grand Theft Auto V_20190228192041

I only use my normal PV in judging the jury

Spoiler

It is more fun and challenging than using those maxipad or Personal aircrafts....

Yellow Dog with Cone

A Cheetah Classic and some rarely used weapons like the Gusemberg Sweeper, the Mini SMG and the Heavy Shotgun will suffice to me.

Once I got an Spetznaz outfit, my APC and only used Soviet type weapons:

- Assault Rifle Mk II

- Compact Rifle

- Heavy Shotgun

- MG

- Mini SMG

- RPG

Haha awesome. My whole theme is Russian so have all those weapons plus Russian themed outfits. I just wish you could stick the Russian or Soviet flag on more things aside from your emblem.

A Savage Mk II with Russian/Soviet/Polish liveries would be sweet IMO.

I've submitted feedback already for Soviet / Russian themed liveries for the Savage! Do the same. Can't hurt :)

Tula with incendiaries for eg Lost MC RIP

Hunter and B11 both have gas bombs for missions with objectives you'd blow up (but remember only 5 produce gas at a time)

I did Chop Chop in my volatol, needed a bit of mopping up but fun

Chernobog on the final two parts of Hit Em Up, although that was a bit of a bust at the motel.

Ramp Buggy is the ultimate f*ck you to traffic if you're avoiding flying

Missions with violent passenger NPCs (Stanley, Anna etc) are fun in the Valkyrie

APC for missions in the Merryweather HQ (float on in)
