shadyslady
What ya'll think about the protagonist dies at the end policy R* been doing for years now? !!!Spoilers!!! The only time it was dramatic and sad and really affected me was when John Marston was killed. L.A. Noire I haven't played (who you control after Cole Phelps dies?) In GTA 5, despite Option C being the only real choice for me, Mike's and Trevor's deaths were executed poorly. Options felt so wrong and forced and left a sour taste. Now it was obvious Arthur Morgan will die and R* went a new direction with him getting gravely ill, increasing the difficulty.. But it got worn out that the protagonist dies... I'm expecting it... Emmi
In Bully 2 the protagonist will die ... I feel it. Yeah, it's become very expected! B_E_N_1992

Len Lfc
I'd hardly call it a policy. They've only done it 3 times (to my knowledge), and all 3 times it felt natural for the story. Tails Prower
Thanks for spoiling it, could have hidden that in a spoiler tag since I haven't played the game yet. Gummy and Curtis
Zello
We need better deaths. Let me go out like Tony Montana If not death end with the protagonist going to jail getting locked up for a life sentence. iiCriminnaaL

This is probably what's going to happen in the end... Edited March 2, 2019 by TheSantader25
Algonquin Assassin
I agree it's become a tired trope. It feels out of place in GTA V since both endings where Trevor and Michael die are pretty garbage and low effort to have an excuse for multiple endings. GTA V fails at creating meaningful moments so I'm not really sure the purpose of either Trevor or Michael dying except for a reason to have two more albeit incredibly rushed and tacked on endings. If the protagonist has to die it needs to be done meaningful like John in Red Dead Redemption, but it doesn't really suit GTA. Jamasen
With the 3D universe GTA games, the only Protagonist to die was Victor Vance. it's better not knowing what happens to them in my opinion.

Maybe have the protag go to some federal prison a couple states away a prison like ADX Florence. The problem would be who would we be playing as afterwards that would make sense and not ruin the experience. Multiple Protagonists.... Like the short period Michael was kidnapped by Wei Cheng.
