New Bounty system

True, though I have more than enough money to pay for bounties.

I refuse to, due to Rockstar's decision to nerf aspects of the game that did not need nerfing.

I'm also not paying a bounty for fighting back against an attacker.

Fair enough. I only pay it back when I want to start a stranger mission.

You do not get a bounty when defending yourself while on a mission. Hurrah. I was on a postal service mission, when some lame d-bag wanted a piece of me. I whacked him twice.

 

During the gunfight, I killed his horse. I got a $4 penalty. I succeeded the mission. I got $17 minus the horse vetrenairy fee. 😲

And I ran over a few NPC's, which gave me a 20 cents bounty. 

 

Let's write it off as Rockstar logic.

R* has alienated its most fervent (and lucrative) player base in order to address the concerns of a vocal minority which should have been directed into the offline mode or invite only lobbies. The biggest complaints about RDO have been that it is slow and boring, and this latest update took it to the level of "watching paint dry."

You do get a bounty if you defend yourself on a stranger mission against npc though

Rubbish, If you cannot see players blips its no more boring than when you could, They are still there its not empty as a lot of folk are saying

I decided I'd play for a little while with some friends over the weekend.  Twice I got on my own horse and got a small bounty for "horse thief"  WTF

I dont mind it generally but do detest how an innocent players suffers bounty for defending himself and the only other little niggle is the blip colours are same for npc and player attacking us when in stranger missions, we dont know difference sometimes

This is what cracks me up the most about the blip change, so many want to argue that it makes the game world seem dead and that player interaction is at lows yet those same people would regularly use the blips for the express purpose of avoiding those other players! Like it's exactly the same now except they took the burden of watching the map off you, and I call BS on player interactions at a low, still seeing plenty of that.

 

I have yet to enter a lobby with less than 15-25 players.

Actually been seeing a lot red dots. More than blue blips. And yes, i think this system is better. Crossing other players feels more organic and natural.

The bounty hunters that attacked me were laughable. They came in ones and were killed pretty quickly. It's a very uninteresting fight that could have probably been executed much better. 

 

At one point the game bugged out and said that bounty hunters were after me, but immediately afterwards, it told me the hunters had claimed the bounty from me. Gg guess I'll just get robbed.
