Stealing posse missions got nerfed really badly.

I usually get about 10 dollars for stealing a posse mission.

Now I get 80 cents as a reward and about a 1-3 dollar increase on my bounty

Why even give me the option to steal missions now at this point? There is literally no reward now for doing so.

How do you steal a posse? You kidnap 'em by lasso'ing them and dragging them across the dirt on ground? Or hogtie'ing? I never played stealing a posse stranger mission. Is one of the new ones? Sounds cool and fun.

Exactly. Stranger missions especially are a PvP gamemode. Get over it.

Well, I for one am glad that this change was made. Until lobby types are added so we don't have to deal with players forcing pvp onto us, I'll gladly take this change. Its like some of you guys don't realize that some of us don't want to fight other players (and that is still a sizable and valid part of the game's community, just as much as the pvp community). Aside from stranger missions, pvp players get showdowns to play. What do pve players get? Hunting and fishing, that's it. So go do pvp in a showdown series where your opponent is actually looking for a fight, and otherwise leave me be in peace until lobby types can do that.

 

And yeah, I get R* designed it so that players can interfere, but guess what, most of us don't like that and this change fixes a problem for us. After all, R* is (supposedly) changing the game based on feedback, so nothing should be set in stone just because R* designed it a certain way.

 

In any case, that's my opinion.

 

Of course, pvp players' opinions are no less valid than mine, I am simply showing you how this change is not bad for everyone.

Until they give more PvE options, this is a good change.  

Less incentive to force PvP on people who have no interest.  As ghostsoap said: "What do pve players get? Hunting and fishing, that's it "

 

That was one of the best things about the original RDR online and GTAO - there was a PvE element in it.  You can finish all the story missions in under an hour and then you have nothing else.

Some high-quality and CHALLENGING PvE is what this game needs the most.  The Heist missions from GTAO were good for a couple runs, but they were too easy to figure out (unless you had the random idiot who didn't understand the point of STEALTH in the one Heist mission where you have to sneak a truck into, and steal another one out of, the research facility).

Re-read my post, because it seems you must have glossed over the part where I said the game is changing based on feedback. This was one of those changes, and for many of us its a good change. If your not happy about it, I can just re-state your own reply to you: go cry about it.

Being paid a pittance never stopped anybody from attacking people's missions in GTAO, all this does is nerf another source of income in free mode.

They're PvE orientated, with PvP overlap.  Some are PvP orientated, but most aren't.  PvP isn't introduced until later when you're flagged on the map.  If it was straight PvP, all Stranger missions would be flagged the INSTANT you accept one.



The point is there is almost nothing that is strictly PvE in this game, but almost everything has PvP or has PvP attached to it.

So if you want a casual baby PVE game go play Fallout 76.

People like you crying is why games are f*cking dumbed down these days. I can't even imagine dark souls getting dumbed down to appeal to cry babies that want to PVE but they don't wanna go offline because they want that sweet co-op.

Well, I understand your point, but at least for me so far it seems to be that I am being attacked much less than before. Honestly, the best change they could have made is for people like me to have friendly or invite sessions, this way we could opt out of the pvp and not harm your income, but seeing as R* have an obsession with keeping us together, this seems to be the change they've come up with, and so far, for me it has curbed the attacks quite significantly.

It was always more than easy enough to avoid getting attacked by just going to where there were no players. Your free roam mission activities aren't broadcast to anyone until you get within spitting distance of them.

Find me one factual source proving that we are why games are dumbed down. Good luck backing up your claims.

 

As for "go play fallout 76", how about you go play Fortnite. See, its not that great of a counter-point, is it?

Yea that was my point, I don‘t get why they decrease payout when you‘re supposed tocompete with these missions

All the more reason to add more of everything and stop beating around the bush.  PvP, rewarded or not, is available in all modes while PvE is ignored.  Huge amounts of the community have been asking for these things since before the game was even released (even though it was advertised!).  So you understand that one group feels totally shafted and ignored.  

It's not an ideal fix, just the only one they can do without adding more appropriate content.

They should rename this game to My little Pony Adventure because from this thread alone I am seeing nothing but babies that can't handle their mission getting stolen and they need a safe space so they cried to rockstar until you now get 80 cents for stealing a missions.

no it f*cking isn't. the option to attack is there but it's not forced upon anyone. stranger missions are literally one of the only ways for us pvers to make money and xp in this barren wasteland of a f*cking game and yall wanna turn that into a griefing fest too?

Hey f*cker I can still attack and ruin their mission. Getting paid 80 cents isn't going to stop people from griefing.
