In ways it is better, no doubt about that. I can still use my former gameplan: spawn in one region over from the one I want to roam in, since they still spawn everyone together in a session. But what's the point of removing the blips if some players can see them on the companion app? That only puts those without the app at a disadvantage.

This was pre-patch, but I felt this was a very peaceful moment.

The App has been updated. It doesn't show all players.

Thanks I didn't know that. Well that's fair at least. Spawning into freeroam is going to remain difficult until we get hotel rooms or properties -- if that ever happens. I'll give it a chance obviously but my desire to log in isn't what it used to be. I'm not liking most of what I'm seeing. It definitely doesn't seem so peaceful yet to me.

I like it so far. I see purple and red blips before they can see me - if I don't want to fight, I just choose a different path, and they'll never know I was there. When there's someone killing loads of people, I can creep up on them with my freshly buffed rolling block sniper.

 

Early days though.

 

Now the bounty system I'm less keen on.
