It's so peaceful now

I can finally enjoy myself in this game lol. I don't see player blips constantly on my minimap. I don't see other player blips on my world map. Either I'm in a session all alone or this is a bug lol. Regardless, I'm enjoying the game again. Anyone else?

Are you that stupid. It’s pretty obvious I’m aware of the patch/changes, hence the thread. I was just questioning the degree to which blip changes were made.

Go into a session and bring up the player list while your isolated. You will only see your name, no other player, just you. You’ll question whether your alone in the session too. Explore enough until you come within range of another player and it becomes obvious your not alone. Whether or not the player list is bugged, or if it SUPPOSED to show you and only you remains to be determined. Regardless it’s peaceful.

Blips system is dreadful, really all we needed is it to be like in RDR you move fast or shoot visible nothing more nothing else, griefers can be red ok but this right now. Wait until you get sniped guys with all that stuff on your horse. I got killed more in a 45 min session than I did the two days ago. Blue blips are not friendly !

Definitely not peaceful since I still get shot for no reason. Also you were only referring to the blips as your reasoning for being alone in a session. You did not mention the player list menu before. You also posted that you know about the patches but this post I'm replying to acts as if you don't... what the heck is going on here?

I think this is R*s biggest blunder.  I swear, it started with not being able to play for a week, no compensation, and they nerfed every way to earn money.  My wallet is closed permanently.  They trashed what could have been the best game of the decade.  I'm borderline ready to demand a refund for all that gold I bought.  They cant even get their economy right.  In 1880s-90s, a revolver was $14, and a horse was $30. Learn some history R*.

Press Left on the d-pad and select players. You will see the list of all in the lobby.

Your acting like I’m suppose to break everything down for you like I’m supposed to provide an in depth review. I assumed everyone knew about the patch so why clarify what I’m referring too? Your just assuming I didn’t know because of what? Because I didn’t mention the patch? The thread title says “it’s peaceful NOW”. Now, as in after the patch.

Another thing that might be an issue is players who enjoy the new bounty system. I have every intention of playing around with this new bounty system without engaging in PvP, but the rate at which one accumulates a bounty high enough to get a bounty hunter pursuit is very slow, which unfortunately could result in players intentionally engaging in PvP just to speed up the process.

Not asking for a breakdown or in-depth review of anything. You're posts just made it seem like you didn't know about the patch and now it just seems like you're pretending to know it all along? I'm not accusing you. I'm just legitimately confused by how you went about typing the original post because the way it was worded just seemed like you didn't know. The only major problem with this change is what it does for hunters. Hunters relied on that map information to determine which towns to go to so that they can sell what they caught. Using the information to stay the hell away from towns crawling with players and instead going to the ones that have no players at all or only one or two. You can no longer do that, you gotta get within a stone's throw of a town just to get a sitrep on a town's current situation. Could waste several minutes riding to one town, only to find it would be suicide going there at the moment, forcing you to ride for many more minutes to the nearest town over that has a butcher.

Luckily R* envisaged this very problem and came up with an ingenious solution. They made hunting no longer profitable.

A companion app for laptop would be nice. All this blip system does is make it harder to avoid other players, which is obviously what R* wants: they want us all fighting. It's just Hee Haw GTA.

Parley after one kill. Hostiel players can’t track you, and hostile players are more visible.

Companion App shows players the same way as it does in game now. i.e it only shows players who become increasingly hostile.
