It's not on rotation; you can start it at any time, but there are times when it's greyed out for some odd reason. If that happens, switch lobbies or close and reload the game.

Posse activities are often grayed out to my friend and I. We just start a story mission, and when you get to the screen to ready up, quit out. They usually work then.

I get that people like to be a lone wolf. I'm that way often myself. But trust me on this: these types of games are always more fun when played with friends. I just wish more of our friends played this game. So far it's only 2 of us. And there isn't anything in game currently to really foster trying to build a team. In GTAO, Heists really forced our hands into building networks of friends. Outside of posse activities (which, let's face it, are nothing really engaging. We only bother with them for dailies), there's little reason to find a large group.

Red Lynx 23

It was a seven out of seven day for me. Right away I restarted my posse and invited some randoms to it, then started the herb picking challenge. The last and most difficult challenge was finding a second striped skunk. I found both skunks at a static spawn point, on a hill just down the road from Heartland Oil Field's southwestern entrance.

I'll try that next time; thank you! ☺

I also agree with what you said about playing with friends. I go through lots of times when I like to play alone because that's just how I'm wired and I sometimes want to do things at my own pace, but overall, the experiences are definitely a lot more fun when you can share them with others. A lot of my friends had stopped playing before the update and before I stopped playing for awhile myself, but thankfully, many are gradually getting back into it again. I too hope they do more with the PvE side of things and perhaps link Social Club crews from GTAO to the game; it's honestly kind of a hassle with the current posse system and its issues and limitations.

Question, where would one find a good place for skunks? My intuition tells me that tall trees may have what I seek. But if you may, can you guide me to another location?

Around Manzanita outpost.

Skunks can be found on the islands in Flat Iron Lake. Always lots of Muskrats too.
Start at the small northern island then go south to the largest island.

I sell all at Rhodes before heading to those islands and bag game along the way.
I find the skunks at night and bag game while i wait for the skunks to spawn.

Also those islands offer a great location for tossing dynamite at boaters.

Only just finished them all, on what I thought would be an extremely easy day.  Had all but the herb contest finished in an hour.  Thought I'd be smart and name my posse herb picking contest.  Despite sending invites all day no one joined.  Usually I'd get at least a couple low levels.  Wasn't until a little while ago I realized you can only have so many persistent members.

I wonder how many frustrated people were trying to join me so they could do the challenge too. 😂

For those that do all 7/7, do you find its worth it? Not in terms of payout but experience and challenge. I have just been doing one or so until they multiplier is big enough, I have mixed thoughts about doing all 7 as they seem so obscure and random, I feel like a bit of a moron doing weird things like trampling rabbits just because a system told me too.

I think they're definitely worth it. Nice amount of XP, like 300? I think, and you get 2 gold bars for completing them all (2, if you've got the full multiplier) - I can usually knock out the challenges relatively quick.

7/7. But f*ck the skunks!

Yeah. Took more time to find the skunks than to do all the others.

Still not sure. I think they're fun thought especially in a large posse. You might be able to make more doing missions but with the multiplier I doubt it.

What's the point in keeping the multiplier going if you're not going to take advantage of the payout? I don't care what I have to do, but to get .5 gold per, plus the bonus for all 7, yeah it's worth it.

I've seen several people make the comment of just doing one for the streak, to each their own, but what a waste. I could care less about the 28 day map. Who knows, maybe it'll be a good, but until I find out, I'm going for the gold. Other the hassle with the posse challenges starting and some having issues with showdowns, this sh*t is easy.

I think they are; both in terms of payout and overall experience. They've helped expand my horizons a bit with taking me outside my preferred locations and have assisted with learning where certain things, like animals and herbs, are or at least where they're more commonly found. I enjoy the challenge; some of them more than others, and there are days where I will skip one or two of them if I don't have time, am not in the mood to try, or if my friends aren't online when I am (for the ones that must be completed within a posse). I sometimes take a pass on completing some of the PvP or racing ones; especially if I feel as though they'll just end up frustrating me. I try to at least get six out of seven completed; the fewest I've completed on one specific day since my streak started was five out of seven. Overall though, yes; I enjoy them and I also like how many of us here have become more involved lately with sharing tips, maps, strategies, stories, experiences, and the like.

If you do all 7 challenges while hunting you're getting at minimum $100 from hunting and 2-5 gold bars per day. Monthly that's about $3000 and over 100 gold bars. I'm putting gold on errythang. Call me Trinidad wehweh :p

Lol, I did not understand the Trinidad reference; I only knew it as a country (Trinidad and Tobago), so I tried to Google what you meant and first came up with a song entitled "Call Me Back" by Trinidad Cardona. In the picture I saw of the artist, they were not wearing gold, so I had a look at the lyrics and found nothing mentioning gold. What was I missing? So, I tried searching "Trinidad" and "gold" and I'm pretty sure now that I have it figured out; there's a song called "All Gold Everything" by Trinidad James; neither of which I had ever heard of. Lol, sorry; I was completely lost, but that was fun learning something new! Thank you for that, Trinidad Wehweh! 😜

On topic: I'll post the new list when it's released in 42 minutes. Let's hope it's decent today! ☺

Last time we tried to do the posse races, the first one started but then everything was greyed out again. I hadn't noticed at first it says 3 completed not 1.

So Chanterelles were next, and Bay Bolete again lol. Looks like an easy 7.

For Chanterelles, go to Rhodes. Ther's some at the E in Rhodes, then follow the "Meadows" line down to the Panther area, should find plenty. Also around Ringneck Creek and between Bolger Glade and Shady Belle.

*Posse versus tip* This is what worked for me. Instead of having to keep switching lobbies, simply start up a story mission and back out right away.

The reason I do this is because I don't get chance to play for a decent amount of time every day. By logging on and quickly doing one or two easy challenges on days where I don't have much time it allows me to keep the multiplier for the days when I can make the most of it.

It is a waste and I'd love to have the time to play and get six or seven challenges done every day, but unfortunately, that's just not going to happen for me.

I totally get it if you don't have the time. I guess without explanation, one can only assume. The way I read some is as they don't want to bother with them, that's what I mean by a waste.

I'm one of those who can't be bothered with it these days. I've done at least 5/7 for 20 days religiously, but another game got DLC I wanna play more than riding my horse and doing dailies. Also, RL keeps me from playing as much as I'd like. It's a matter of priorities and I also don't want to break the streak, which would be more of a waste than doing just one daily a day. There will be more time for RDO sooner or later again.

I'm still enjoying them. As long as there isn't a really tricky one that takes ages. I feel a bit lost now when you're all done.

To join a posse is mostly more fun than lone wolving. There is strength in numbers. If you have some serious high level players. I once joined some random posse. The posse was immediately disbanded and the former members try to shoot me in the back. So experiences may vary. Lone wolf time is essential for learning the ropes. I think Rockstar should cater to both playstyles.

Rockstar, being their usual selves, try to push everyone into their vision how we should play their game. Same as gta online, where Rockstar is churning out adversary mode after adversary mode. Which get prompltly abandoned by the players, after the double xp and money time expires.

I've yet to ever join someone's random posse; only those of people that I know. I'm not sure why, but I'm hesitant about it for some reason; not because I fear that it will disband and turn into a kill fest, but rather because I don't know what it is they want to do or how they like to play the game. Lol, I know that's probably odd, but I just haven't had it within me to try just yet.

The only ones I don't bother with half the time are the free roam event kills; I've done a few in the past, but generally when I see the invites, I'm already in the middle of doing something else. I don't like the ones involving specific types of kills or with specific weapons in showdowns either; I'll sometimes try those, but if they look to be too much of a hassle, I'll just chalk it up as a loss and move on.

I did manage to complete the posse races earlier, but why must there be three of them? One seems like more than enough for a day! 😝

Anyone having a hard time with free roam events? Not a single request. Been ages too. Collected like 50 herbs while waiting. 😂

I had to wait over 2hrs to finally get Fools Gold.

Slohbur and I waited for around an hour and nothing came up, he left and I waited, then got the Lake Fishing challenge which screwed me over getting Rifle kills, finally Fools Gold came up while I was walking around the Bayou.

I'm gonna say the session you're in is probably bugged.
