Do you by any chance have that "trinket" from Gus, that says something about pelts being better when perfect or something

(which makes no sense, since already perfect?)

I'm starting to think that is what it does, makes animals/pelts sometimes score better; this is because I only noticed what you describe happening

AFTER I got that trinket. Then I think I'm only turning in 4/of 6 perfect, but the two "good" I turn in also scored for "perfect." I could be wrong, but

that seems to be what is happening?

Or maybe that trinket makes them score/sell better to a vendor/at Cripp's table? It seems like a coincidence that I started noticing what you

describe after I got that trinket (or at least after the Naturalist update, so it may just be a BUG with nothing to do with that trinket?) I've noticed it doing what you say with BOTH pelts/skins and carcasses.

On forums people say all that trinket does is make it so even if you "ruin" an animal down to "good", it still might give you a perfect pelt; I've never noticed that happening a SINGLE time, since

getting the trinket. If I make a thing two stars, I only get a two star pelt. Maybe I just don't skin enough, or don't notice?

I do have the trinket, but these were whole carcasses, 3 were 2 star, 3 were perfect ones. All from my horse, so it's gotta be a glitch.

I fairly often get a perfect snake skin when the varmint rifle shot turns it from 3 to 2 star.

I collect them so I have pelts in my satchel when necessary regardless of quality, but frequently enough to notice they get improved in quality when I know they are always 2 star after the shot.

Oddly, every carcass I donated today scored as a perfect carcass, even though only 2 were.

And they still haven't fixed the 'drink an antique alcohol' issue where it takes the top one in the list.

I even saw a PS4 player on youtube get stung by this with only 3 different bottles: he had 1 absinthe, 4 whiskeys, and 3 of another and it took the absinthe off the top even though he picked the whiskey he had 4 of.

I think 2 stars have always scored as 3 stars for the challenge purposes.

For the alcohol, if you have a bottle in the 'recent' tab of your satchel you can drink that instead of going through the bottles section in the collector tab and having it default to the top listed bottle.

2nd time in a row I can't get the "revive player" to work.

Used to not have any problems when shooting someone in the leg / foot with a Vamint. Worked perfectly.
Not anymore. It kills them.

How can I complete the challenge now?

The strategy I've been using for player revives in a cooperative setting like a posse, is to punch my horse in the rear and let it kick me in the head until I'm down and able to be revived. The other player needs to be reasonably close or I die outright. It's been a couple of months since I've had a posse going so I haven't tested this recently.

Lols! worked like a charm:

Checked at 1:00 am, still the 19th,

1:01 AM the list for the 20th ;) (this computer clock may be off a minute, too (at overnight work.) )

(on rdodailies.com)

Yeah there is a little delay of 30-60 seconds since the script that runs to get the data from Rockstar runs at the time of reset so takes a few moments to get the data and configure it all but it's much more easier than doing it manually heh.

Ah, that makes sense (that there is a delay with the script.)

Pretty spiffy, though! ;)

I got them all done except the goofy "3 player revives" and "hunt the leader."

Hoping for a day where there are no "other players" ones again, in general ;)

(Darn, player kills in "posse Vs", today ... )

Its far more easy. Posse of two with FF on. Shot yourself with varmint or Revolver (Stomach) and revive...

That one should be

"0/5280

distance traveled on a mount with a posse member."

according to Dirty Tyler list on reddit. (stupid posse stuff!!!)

Adam said the script gets it from Rockstar, so for some reason it is displaying that one wrong?

The Dirty Tyler one always comes way later, so I'm guessing done manually.

(Yeah, what is up with the lobbys now larger? Not 26 like before, but had 11 other people again today (didn't seem to bother spawning, though.) )

I see, thanks for the info much appreciated.

Got attacked by 2 man posse consist of low level random idiots yesterday, they thought the train were theirs only. They shot my friend when he got near, the rest is history. They left the session after couple of minutes shootout. After that i was lassoed by another low evel idiot around Gus at Saint Denis right after i collected the last family heirloom for daily. Blast his face with my Sawed Off Shotgun and dynamite his horse,he didnt like it i guess lol. Came back at me with fire shotgun and explosive revolver. I could use mine as well but on the second thought nope,he didnt worth it. Last time he killed me with explosive ammo revolver,he went to poker table and wait for me to come, when i did he join the poker table. LMAO what a pussy.

A bit late, but for future...

Just go on call for the Le Clerk story missions, many players get downed on those missions that need reviving. :)

whats your strategy for the hideouts?

riding between the spots? or maybe wait at a certain spot at a special time?

I usually wait around in spots that have a few close together. One always seems to pop after so long..

Except for today, I have been waiting near the usual spots, riding round all over the map, and even switching instances, but I haven't come across a single hideout spawn.

have had decent success with going into the character creator, then backing out.
If the Pike's Basin hideout doesn't spawn right away, I wait a minute.

Other than that: solo lobbies are your best friend for these. The western part of New Austin isn't as dense with other Dynamic Events, so it feels like the chances are better

Pike's Basin is usually the easiest to get to pop...unless it's a daily.

Like anything on the daily list, on any other day they show up more than you want to see them.

Last time hideouts were on the dailies it took forever to get a second one, and that was during the small session days.

I'm in for a bare minimum today.

I have no idea how I completed this daily--wasn't even trying when it popped up last night; another bug like the Alligator collectible(s)?

Hunt the leader can be done by joining an invite from a posse who started it!

Basically, this one completes by cooking up a batch of Moonshine.  If you are doing a strong recipe, it takes 48 minutes IRL.  If you started a batch in a previous session, or even earlier in your current session, it will complete once the batch is ready.

It doesn't always work for me, but I've had the most success by loitering just within visible distance of where the hideout spawns.

By loitering, I mean picking herbs, shooting some varmints, etc. (doing something so the game doesn't think I'm trying to get one to spawn lol)--that seems to trigger them more than anything else I've tried.

My guess would be; the old bug is back with larger session sizes and Moonshine Complete is popping up with a soft session change and a previous completed batch.

I think you're right, as it's been a good 6+ hours of game time since I set a batch in motion--especially if it otherwise typically completes in ~48 minutes(?).

For Hideouts since my camp is right next to Hanging Dog Ranch, I usually time it so I load into the session for the Sunset Hideout spawn [18:00 - 21:00] for Hanging Dog Ranch, complete it then load into the session again for the Night Time hideout spawn [22:00 - 05:00] and that Daily is done with instead of riding to each Hideout location and hoping it spawns at the correct time of day.
