That faithful day ,it was boring to the point that i opened around 11 at one time then continue the rest next day. Didn't think of that treasure map daily one bit. For the one thats in post office i always collect them whenever possible,but now feels like forever to rank up 1 level so i dont rely on it that much.

yup, though I finally had a chance to donate that legendary carcass I had stashed for quite a while!

last time those donation challenges were on the goods were close to and eventually full, with 2 deliveries a day ago I was almost empty so the donation bits today were really okay on my end! that legendary cougar almost filled up a third of the bar. f*ck gus, he'll never see a legendary animnal from me again. all for the cripps!

I noticed something about "delivery distance wagon" for trading, or moonshine (from the other day's list.)

 

If I veer SLIGHTLY from the "yellow path", it often STOPS counting the distance!!! So I reamed myself, trying to take a "shortcut." 

Since there were two local deliveries (with Cripps), I made sure to not veer from the path  on the second one(this was from my Hennington's stead camp by Mcfarlane's,

to Armadillo post office, so plenty of distance to get 15,000/whatever on two of them.) I'm so glad I managed to get it to count, since I really 

did not want to have to do a long distance delivery/or a third local one!

 

I noticed that  when I "get to" where the drop off is, it only keeps on counting while I "circle" (to get the total 15 K/whatever), if when I circle it

keeps redrawing the yellow line "path" to the drop-off. It seems a bit hit and miss, since I managed to get it to count today but I had a moonshiner

where when it got near the end I tried to circle a bit to draw it out  but noticed it had stopped counting the distance =/ This is way worse with Moonshiner,

since you can't just select another delivery (unless you really feel like waiting at least 20 minutes...) With Cripps I'm often making another delivery with even just 1 goods

Having had to do this lately, now my supplies are messed up: I always get a resupply with 98 goods produced, which is a pain in the ass.

It'll be 97 next time because of yesterday.

today was all naturalist/trader/collector...didn't touch moonshiner nor bounty hunter-stuff. the latter I will not even look at, most days.

 

about that delivery distance challenge, and the STOP in counting that can occur ....it could be about going off road too much but it has to be something else too. got the challenge checked last time, during 2 local sales. really tried to drag out the 1st sale, going from diablo ridge to blackwater and it looked promising, more than 10000 miles registered. then it stopped though right in front of blackwater....at 12234/15234 something with about 3 minutes left on the clock. I did go a bit off-road now and then due to bandits chasing me n sh*t but generally kept the wagon on roads. got it all done with the 2nd local sale. hit and miss...I'd rather not depend on that challenge for the 9/9

Today's list is really tedious.  Don't feel like depleting my small animal supply on the Trader challenge.  Can't be bothered with any of the Moonshiners today either.  Seagulls can also be a pain although I generally have ok success finding gulls in those islands by Flat Iron Lake. 

 

I'm hopeful about the Halloween event because honestly, logging in to do the same challenges over and over is a drag.  I really wish they could develop some additional ranks in the roles that are based on challenges rather than experience.  For example, in Story Mode some of the later challenges were very challenging.  It was a grind but very satisfying when you succeeded.  It would be nice to see some overall Role challenges that are based on this philosophy.

The easiest place to find gulls is on the long island west of Rhodes, the one with the crabs.

You can sometimes find gulls near the beach opposite of the island, but to be sure you have to swim your horse out there.

There are always some on the beach at the southern end.

 

That being said, I didn't bother doing that one, it wasn't anywhere near on my way to what I had planned today, so not really worth the hassle.

 

For small animals I am constantly stopping to bag squirrels, chipmunks, quails are the best, they're slow and easy to spot, frogs and toads on the peninsula northeast of Bluewater.

I got in the habit of riding around with my varmint rifle ready and drop off the horse whenever one pops it's head up.

I got my gulls riding into Thieves' Landing. They can be found on the bridge or mud flat just before town. The shorelines around Blackwater also have a lot of gulls. The Iguana Islands west of Rhodes are really good for gulls, but I didn't have any other reason to be in that area.

 

Enemies Looted was a breeze in Thieve's Landing. Attacking from the south brings them all out - got 19 loots in one go.

Ah, nice

 

I found them at the finger lakes/streams east of Mcfarlane's ranch ( Stillwater or something? where I was actually getting the 10 "medium" in the wagon, to make "20 carcasses" easier.) 

Never really thought about them being there, but along with Peking duck was getting some gulls.They are often on the ground, by the water. Didn't even think to

also pluck two, since I was in a hurry to just get the trader dailies at least ... Frogs are in the same area, to help fill up the numbers.

OH YEAH, I used to have that happen ALL THE TIME and kind of forgot (having to resupply RIGHT when it is almost a full wagon load.)

 

Even though I do it lately (often make a delivery with one goods, or something), i have not had it do that again. So maybe it eventually stabalizes?

Or it is because that daily comes up so often now (two local deliveries/whatever) that I never have a full load...

I know I'm a day late, but for next time here's my static hotspot for Seagulls.
2 of them always spawn N of the little bridge.
Approach from the SW, you can shoot them before they fly away.

for bats I always go to elysian cave, and the cave near the bottom of brandywine drop. if you don't find bats you'll at least find rats. small animal carcasses one way or another

I spent a whole night scrounging toads, frogs and rats in Bluewater Marsh and only saw one bat. At dawn I rode up to Fort Brennan to check the overhangs on the corner watch towers but I don't think I've ever seen bats there when playing online mode. I ended up at Elysian Cave and got three bats in short order - next time I'll go there first so I don't need to worry about the day/night cycle.

I forgot rattlesnakes count for small carcasses, got two for neck of it while getting squirrels and small birds around Henningtons/Mcfarlanes. They added to the small count total, though they go on your horse/in hunting

The last time I checked, snakes scored like medium birds - medium when donated from the wagon, small from horseback or shoulder. Has that changed?

Pretty sure crows count as small animal carcasses as they go into your satchel as well as quail. IIRC ducks go towards small as well even though they are stored on the horse saddle.

Crows are definitely smalls, though I often get confused with the ducks thinking they're medium but they don't count. I'm sure they did once upon a time in the west, but maybe not, who knows now....

This is actually very valuable info, I didn't know snakes counted as smalls from the horse, it's so rare I don't skin them for fodder for the 20 donations daily.

CHANGES BEING MADE TO RDODAILIES.COM

 

Over the next few days after I've finished updating everything, rdodailies.com will get the Daily Challenges directly from R*  at time of reset so I no longer have to get up early and load up the game to update them manually and then post the Daily Challenges images in this thread every day.

 

However, occasionally (cause R*) the Daily Challenges will not appear in the same order on rdodailies.com as they do the in-game side menu and I'm still deciding on if I should re-order them when I play RDO during the day or just leave in the order that comes from R*

 

I'll still post the image of the Daily Challenges as I do currently, but it may not always be at the time the Daily Challenges reset, so could be later in the day etc.

 

I hope everyone can live with that, since obviously having the rdodailies.com automatically update saves me getting up early each morning, especially when I will need to be up before 6:00AM when the clocks go back at the end of the month, heh!

Hm... I suppose it's been a while since I've posted the rules for donation sizes:

 

Carcass Size Rules for Donation Challenges

 

Easy part first:

• From satchel - Small
• From Wagon - Medium if it stows to the side of the horse
• From Wagon - Large if it stows on the rear of the horse

From Horse or Shoulder it's a bit more complicated:

• Large - Herd beasts and Deadly Predators with carcasses that stow on the rear of the horse

• Medium - Medium-Large carcasses stow on the rear but count as medium when not from the wagon
  - Alligator (small)

  - Beaver

  - Coyote

  - Fox

  - Goat

  - Pig (domestic)

  - Sheep (domestic)

  - Turtle

• Medium - Animals that stow on the side and aren't damaged by a varmint rifle

• Small - Animals that must be shot with a small-game arrow to avoid damage, yield a perfect carcass 

An easier test for the medium birds that count as small when not in the wagon: Medium birds killed cleanly with a small-game arrow will yield all 3 feathers regardless of carcass quality - flight feathers and crafting feathers.

 

Don't get distracted by large birds with no flight feathers or single plumes; these are all large birds and will always count as medium donations.
