Try being near an Legendary animal spawn location, once you get a popup in the corner, use the pheromones bought from Harriet to located it, when taken, it should put some yellow question marks on the map / mini-map.. I've not tried using them for a LA mission from Harriet yet, but will try it out in a few minutes..

 

Managed to get my first one done near Emerald Ranch for the Tatanka Bison, when I was searching for the normal Bison to skin for today challenge, just happened to spawn in luckily when I was done with that Daily, so wasn't expecting it, so once the popup told me that there was one in the area, I used the pheromones to locate it (I happened to quite near it, so it put a yellow question mark on my mini-map)

Yes! I´m on ps4 and is typing a bug report to R* support as we speak!

I'm on PC, so seems it's a universal bug, so obviously must be no difference in the bugs and game coding for each platform since the majority of bugs except for graphic issues which some are PC only (I believe). 

So hopefully a patch is released soon, as some are quite annoying...

I've done two resupply missions for the idiot but none registred. Any thoughts?

They fixed all the previously issues with the Daily Challenges so well that they've broken others. I think where before sometimes you'd get 2/2 for Goods sold, or resupply missions by just doing one, so they've fixed it and obviously caused some more bugs with them not registering at all.

Usually if it's not registering, it won't register at all for the whole day as some that haven't registered I haven't been able to complete despite doing it more than what is required for the Daily / Role Challenge.

Bounties aren't going to work, shine sales won't work, hopefully the resupplies will, otherwise it will be tough to get 9 roles done.

Why should WE be the ones who have to fix THEIR game, that's what makes no sense!

It's clear they don't test their work on the sh*tty p2p system players are saddled with.

Lucked out finding bison, got everything done today.

The Eliminations were funny, i got thrown in a second immediately after the first so I figured i might as well play it out, they're quick.

The last one I got in a choking fight with the last contender as the play area shrank and we were outside of it.

A real Mexican stand off, the timer ran out and we both died, if one us had broken off they'd be killed by the other and I'm sure I was about to lose the grapple anyway, so another player won as he had more kills. 

Dude I was choking said 'that was a series of unfortunate events right there'.

 

Almost all the other bouts I was first one out because I kept getting caught rearranging cards.

These are not worth the daily because they are 20 a piece, but you can run a LA from Harriet and toss one.  When you are trying to rank the naturalist, they are an easy xp.  I am not sure if you can toss 2 on one mission.  But I think its probably easier to go for another one of the roles after hitting 20 on naturalists.

Value is less of a concern than figuring out how to score two more role challenges today. I maxed out the Naturalist role working on the normal-Animal Field Guide and have only done a few Legendary Animals. I'm not sure how they work just yet. I've been farming wolves, rabbits and skunks for the pheromones.

I figure this will get fixed sooner rather than later if I treat it as an exploit. I can fill Cripps without hunting and, I formed a posse with some low-level players (now mid-level) and have been running the supply missions in an area with a lot of bag missions for quick and easy 2000 XP boosts. 

 

I'm gunna try for the legendary animal challenges. If I run into trouble, are any of the bounty hunter challenges working at all? My remaining moonshiner and trader challenges are completely bugged.

 

Added: A work-around for being unable to connect to a good session is to join a posse from the opening menu. I figured if there session was working for them it might work for me too.

It attracts them once you have found them.  I understand not being overly concerned with in game values, but using these things...is like drinking miracle tonics every time your dead eye bar is white...unless your fighting, no point, same idea here. 

 

So, its a not as useful as one would hope.  Legendary animals run away and it takes a lot of bullets to bring them down, so its more like a handicap kind of mechanic.  I wish it did what some people thought it did and could be used to bring them out. But Rockstar said it cant.  It would have been worth it if it brought them out.  I have chucked over 200 worth of them and bought a phamphlet I will never use.

I hope this will make you feel better,wrote ticket to them about unable to enter my shack in Lagras.

 

Guess what? They answered that i have to move my shack location in order to fix that. (This is before the recent dlc though but still)

Thanks. I was able to complete 9/9 doing something I wanted to do anyway. I missed my chance to try two in one mission but I'll try remember the test the next time this challenge comes around. Since I needed two LA samples anyway it worked out well; although the wolf floated away so I had to run 3. No matter, it's all progress towards the field guide at this point.

 

Note: I tried running a posse race the within the last day or two and we all had a hard buzzing crash to the home screen.

Xbox one here, moonshine to preferred buyer also not working for me. My shack is Henningtonstead, near the shore, which makes no difference no matter what the silly low level help person said.

 

Both Cripps resupply counted, for me that day.

 

I never noticed a thing with hunting wagon, since I always dismissed it when it was easy to call again. I was around Legras, getting gator skins for the three deadly predator turn in. Then I selected tumbleweed as nearest stable to my camp, assuming I'd have to go to the stable to activate it again as I often have to do, instead, as I loaded into tumbleweed the hunting wagon comes riding up to me from down the road.
