That's not the point though, if something is broken that is required as a challenge well that is a screw up on R*'s end.

Ya fine, I can do 6/7 too and rest easily, but imagine someone only just diving into the world of RDO immediately getting faced to these bugs and glitches. It certainly isn't gonna convince em to put more time into this broken mess of a game.

Hideouts, along with the other RNG challenges, have always been terrible game design. It well and truly predates the latest patch.

From my experience hideouts worked just fine these last few months, better than ever actually, as did animal spawns. There's no excuse for these to be now broken. Everyone knows by now each time R* releases an update a ton of stuff will be messed up, more than often things that worked just fine before.

I upgraded to a PS4 pro half a year ago and already in a couple days had more blue screen/forced app closing down than ever before. But that's another issue, not gonna go into all that here and derail the thread.

 

Just have a look at b&m thread and people reporting about the animal spawn issue and you will see something is not right atm

I really would like individual challenges based on how we play. If you do a lot of pvp, ie showdowns etc, you will get challenges based on that. If you do hunting your challenges will be hunting based etc. Just can't be arsed trying to get melee kills in showdowns when everyone running around with guns.

Between all the new stuff to do, & the damn resets, I'm just gonna maybe do one or two challenges a day. R* shelled me out 50 Gbars & some cash for losing my streak, but that really doesn't "fix" it does it?

 

  R* went to try & make more gold, but they have to be giving more of it out in re-compensation for all their mistakes. Never a great sign. Just like when recently I had ISP problems with my internet service being interrupted every few hours, & BELL shelled out almost $150 in refunds because they knew the problems wasn't my equipment, which it never would be, because I rent my all equipment from them.

 

 If R*'s handing out refunds, they know they're in the wrong. If they weren't, they'd hide behind the end user agreement, like many companies do.

Well I got the 50 gold pay off for my streak resetting.  Reset to zero again yesterday.  I'm only doing challenges as they happen naturally and not really seeking them out anymore.  I'm appreciative of the dailies as they really carried the game during the lean times before the update but I'm not going out of my way for .02 gold.

Have just had the same thing, my streak got reset on patch day despite doing 8/14, got the 50 gold ‘sorry’ money from R*, and now my streak has just reset a second time despite doing 6/7 yesterday (a curse on hideouts).

 

You have to laugh, I suspect everyone’s is going to reset at some point now - might need to take daily screenshots of the challenges screen

That's what I'll do eventually. Getting into dailies was perfect to make me prepared for this update. But I'll drop them sooner or later as I did with the GTAO dailies. 

 

My streak is still standing but I'll be away for a few days in late November so it won't get beyond that anyway.

Mine was reset after the update. Opened a ticket Rockstar gave me 50 gold bars. Started my streak again got to 3 days and it reset again today

Did you complete a collector daily before a standard daily? Just wondering what could be causing it and a bit paranoid about losing my streak.

Both times that mine reset I was actually playing RDO at the daily changeover time. I have no idea if that was related, but that’s the only thing that comes to mind.

Thank you, tomorrow was going to be my first day I would be on for the reset so I'll avoid that as well. My week completes on a Sunday so really don't want to lose it on a Saturday

Actually I've had a couple sessions where it still said some weren't available, but the bottom contests were good. Had to switch to get races to work. But now that you say it, it does seem more consistent.

I have the 1.5x bonus applied, but I only received 0.60 gold for doing all challenges instead of 0.90. Same thing with the role daily challenges (0.20 instead of 0.30). The regular daily challenges, however, are correct.

Yeah I have a ticket in on that. I'm getting my .5 gold per regular challenge, but .6 for getting all 7. Waiting on reply from them.

No idea. I completed all my dailies yesterday. A friend who did exactly the same as me yesterday and bought the same roles etc didn't get a reset today.

 

The reset bothered me for a while but now I don't really care. It's not something I'll take any notice of any more because it doesn't mean anything. I'm still hopefully going to get my 50 gold bars though.

It’s amazing how much of a dog’s breakfast the daily challenges have become. On the face of it, I would’ve thought it was incredibly simple for Rockstar to track, and they were previously doing a good job of it, so I’m not sure how it’s all gone so wrong for them.

 

Hopefully they can fix it in the backend rather than requiring a client patch. Given the amount of support tickets they must be getting, at least we know it’ll be a high priority for them...

 

On the bright side, the posse stuff does (at last!) seem very reliable now, so that’s a win for the daily challenges crowd

 

Also I just wanted to give a shout out to the GTAF daily challenges PSN Community, they’re a bunch of super patient and super helpful people, and I love you all
