Still have the train, possums, & one free roam mission to go. Possums are being a pain for me today. Coffee, chill a bit, then try again.

I haven't logged in at all. It's warm and sunny outside and my beer is cold and my iPad has enough charge to last me at least 4 hours more out here.

 Thx, mate! Most times it feels like I can't go ten feet without seeing half a dozen of the little buggers, but you know how it seems to go on challenge days . . .

I know what you mean, when it's a challenge it seems they don't spawn as often

Twice today on my travels I’ve found an abandoned train, being a nice guy I took it to the nearest station.

Opossums was a pain.  I found a few near lone mule ranch, south east off Riggs station and the west estuary of the Dakota river. Opossums seem to be nocturnal. 

 

You can not force spawn a train. You have to come across one. Or play Kerosine and tarr.

 

Oleander sage near the railroad bridge over the Kamassa river west of Rhodes.

 

Evergreen huckleberries all around BAYOU in BAYOU NWA on the map.

7/7 but spent about 1h to find the opossums. They disappeared from every spawn location in my session.

Do the story mission Right Side of the Track. When you respawn in free roam near Riggs Station. Train will show up.

I got the train to spawn by playing The Right Side of the Tracks (to get the non player dead eye kills). Upon loading back into freeroam the train came through Riggs Station.

Seven out of seven. I lucked out by finding two Opposums that spawned together. And lucked out again by a player who was curious what I was up to during a free roam mission that put me in offensive style, as I took a stolen boat down the Kamassa River while Lemoyne Raiders talked trash and shot at me. That player turned around and kept going.

Awesome 7/7 finish, logged back in, found two possum during a horse theft. & Then "Kerosene, Tar, & Greed" for the win. Grabbed the train early, drove it halfway, Bob's yer uncle.

I did the right side of the tracks mission but it just spawned me in the countryside with no train in sight, i still need a train, i also need to go to bed!

It never counts the kills you get, when you join in the middle of a showdown for some stupid reason.

 

The melee challenge was actually easier than I thought it would be; thanks to this set of cards:

What counts as as a mêlee kill? Trowing a tomahawk? Knife? Axe? 

 

I tried to kill another player before with a tomahawk and it didn't count. 

 

Does the Short Game ability card work with mêlee?

You could use a tomahawk - as long as you don't throw it - or even a revolver - if you smack a player with it.

I just used the knife, tackling people. I suggest using the Peak condition card if you find yourself low on stamina during tackles.

 

Dunno if Short Game boosts melee dmg but seems like a waste of a card if you use the tackle approach.
