Passive players in the LSIA hangar ...

Honestly, considering how blatant R*'s monetisation has gotten recently I don't entirely blame these guys for doing the exploit.

I will admit, though, that people who think they're safe in public sessions because they popped passive mode are bloody dumb and deserve to get griefed. :V

This is crazy.  Why hasn't this been patched yet??

Do R* not realise that people are literally making hundreds of millions from doing this?  Each session is like a fricken ding dang of a ho down at the airport.

Mark my words, once this glitch is patched, unless R* do money wipes, griefing will quadruple.  Urgh.  Maybe, just MAYBE, that is a sneaky tactic by R*.  Also, I've read about players who haven't played GTAO in years returning to the game just to do this glitch, which surely in the end is a bonus for R*, as it means more people are playing, therefore bigger exposure, and more shark card sales once the glitch is gone...

Thanks to solo public and invite sessions, I'll be missing the surge in bullsh*t. :)

Disgusting.  Level 45 is the level apparently that you can call Lester, so this little sh*t has just reached this level, probably over the weekend, to now spend his f*ck knows how many hundreds of millions on griefing toys that he has no idea how to use... but will still be an annoying mosquito anyway.

Remember a time when you had to be a certain level to even use certain guns?  I think the minigun or RPG were like level 75 or 100 or something.  The game has seriously lost its way...

Seeing a lot more of these since the glitch appeared. The hate txts after handing out spankings are precious. I have “you must be new here” on copy/paste.

Pegging them with the Up-n-atomizer in free aim lobbies has never been easier.

Would the money wipe (if it happens) only wipe off the money made from the glitch or would they just zero out the bank balance I wonder?

Take the glitches money back sure, I don't think they should touch people's money prior to the glitch.

As far as I know, when they removed money from the first orbital cannon glitch, they only removed money made from it. All previous money was untouched.

So they'll probably do the same, if anything.

I still remember the money wipe pre-Smuggler's Run. That was a huge mess. A lot of that money was apparently legit too.

You can call Lester earlier than level 45, you just won't earn as much. Doing the glitch with sourcing a plane nets you about 1,800,000 an hour. Meanwhile sourcing a helicopter, which unlocks pretty early on, nets you about 1,260,000 an hour. Combine the sourcing a plane glitch with the exploit that makes it so you can't be kicked for being idle (not rubberbanding your sticks), then you're making 43,200,000 every 24 hours.

Oh great.

I'll be living in solo sessions for the rest of the year then to avoid the new army of griefers this sh*t will create.

My opinion is that after Rockstar took a lot of my legit money that I made from grinding special cargo sales (trying to reach that 1000 sourced) a while back, glitching is fair game... glitching in public is a bit daft though.

I think glitching does give an advantage over the legitimate players especially when you see these kids on their flying broomsticks, but glitching takes away an aspect of the game, the aspect that you've actually worked for something. Things mean so much more to you when you earn them, even in games... that's why it sucked so much when they took my legit money and I didn't receive all of it back. That's what made me so indifferent towards glitching... it's hard to lose the feeling that you've worked for something when Rockstar can take away legitimate money too. I used to absolutely love playing GTA Online, but now it's 30 mins a day or every other day if that, so I'm no longer going to go to the effort of grinding out legit sales when I can walk around in a circle for 9 hours afk while I'm at work and come back to an extra $10mil+.

I do believe glitches should be done with caution though. If you have a fully legit account and you've had it since Day 1, then this ain't for you. For me, I'm not bothered whether or not Rockstar wipe the money (they only did that to me on the Orbital Cannon glitch). But even still, I think doing it in a public session is just drawing attention to yourself... you're much more likely to have an actual person record you and put in a report against you because they think you're cheating.

Thats unbelievable.  It took me 3 months playing adversary modes on double to fill my account with 12 millions.  I was already at Level 200 before ive started with businesses. ( i started new on ps 4 late 2017)

I have not and would never but I have seen people who have found sessions of like fifteen people doing the glitch, recorded them and sent it to R*. Hilarious.

Doesn't R* monitor player sessions, though? If they saw this in countless lobbies they'll know something's up.

R* knows about it. You think they don't have people anonymously watching websites like this or "the other place"? They know about it the moment its made public. And they also have the power to anonymously watch lobbies without affecting the player count. If I remember correctly some guy on PC was holding a Lobby wide private event ages ago with the max amount of players and when he checked the lobby stats somehow he saw that two of three extra people were in the lobby when thats supposed to be impossible and something happened to let him know the extra players were R* watching. I cant remember if he was Streaming it or keeping a Lobby open for a glitch or something.

If R* are reading this thread, don't be ridiculous and take every dollar off people.

Take back the glitched money and leave the rest if you decide on a course of action.

Up to 32 Players are possible but a lobby is officially full with only 30 players in it. I guess these 2 spots are reserved for( Rockstar) spectators

There's a lot of "they're dumb enough to do this in a public lobby" talk. Sounds very similar to griefers who justify destroying supplies. I'm not saying it's wrong or right. It just sounds, "hypocritical"? I'm not sure how else to best describe it.

However I will echo the phrase as well. Why the hell are they doing this in pubs? I don't recall that being part of the glitch. In fact, any money glitch shouldn't be done in public just in case someone decides to mess with you or figures out what you're doing and reports you.

As for me, I'll leave them to it. If they get caught, they get caught. If not, well that's just SOP for Rockstar I guess. I myself haven't done this glitch. Like many others who haven't, I've got a bad feeling about this one. It's too good to be true. I'm smelling a money wipe, and hopefully they do it only to the people making bank from this glitch. If they do it to everyone then I can see many people walking away from this game for good.

Does the car crash glitch also works on them?

Drive a car  pretty fast on them and jump out before the car would (virtually) hit them. They get killed ( even in passive) and you even get the kill?

Just a quick note to anyone doing, or thinking about doing, this glitch. Make sure you spend the bulk of the glitched money before you turn off your console, just in case Rockstar wipe it. It's better to have sell-able assets than a bunch of wiped cash.

I'm not justifying it, but the prices from Arena Wars are beyond a joke. Take an arena vehicle into the modshop and change your scoop, for example, at a whooping 300-400k, then drive back into the modshop to change the scoop back again, only to pay for the previous scoop once more! This has been going on since day one, but with today's prices it's beyond even the deepest GTA online pockets.

Arena Wars discounts hidden behind 400+ rank-up tiers, lol! Oh my Lord, have Rockstar ramped up the costs of things through this update, and this glitch serves as a timely reminder that people probably just don't care any more.

I plan on having 22 or more Vigilante’s before this glitch gets patched just in-case the next DLC’s prices are 😱

That hangar has a side hallway section where you could hide the Bandito as you watch the passive sh*tshow from across!

I'm actually wondering if the money gotten from this glitch is automatically safe just because you bought cars with it. What if Rockstar would do character resets if you didn't have enough money for them to take back? Just a thought. EDIT: Even though character wipes are completely useless against actual cheaters since they'll just get their money back while this form of punishment only really hurts legit players.

...........

Not that I've participated (being on PC, it's impossible after all)  but TBH it 'feels' mean spirited to have a laugh at other's expense.

But it is still funny.

Like the drone and Bandito troll posts/videos.

I'm sure the griefers feel bad too, after destroying someone's cargo....

I'm aware. The Bandito also fits under the open garage door in that hallway so you can really stay hidden.
