@icedree. Like said b4 after the dead hooker glitch some cars had a minimal sell amount, some had can’t sell due to being over 50 k amount notice, some didn’t have a sell option at all in the menu but that was on the 360 for me/friends. Don’t know why but i still have cars I can’t sell that were never used to duplicate but like I said it was the 360 era for me.

I'm probably opening a little can of hateworms with this comment, but just to offer some food for thought: whoever got their money wiped for doing the plane glitch, or whoever has had their money wiped earlier for some other reason, have now a flag on their SC account. That means there's the possibility that the flag is noted by R* when dealing with any kinds of issues with existing and future games tied to said SC account. With R* reserving the right to cut access to online properties of their games, this may lead to more quicker hammering in the future, even with games coming out years from now. 

 

Or it may very well it won't be so, who knows. I'm just saying it's possible. I mean, if I was a developer trying to make sure everyone plays by the rules I've set, and there was some naughtiness going on, I would use any kind of earlier information I had on the players in question to determine what sort of consequences they should receive. And if I saw some players have tried to break my rules before and did it again, maybe I would be a little less understanding.

Just out of curiosity now that this glitch is patched, just what purpose does that “find a plane” thing with Lester actually serve?? Surely if you are looking for a plane you don’t need to call Lester and spend money to be told to look at the airport?

What are you talking about? There are no flags on social club. The social club most likely went down because R* put in place the additional of 2-step authorization.

It was a feature in the early days “360/ps3” when nobody really had planes that wasn’t removed. Kind of like calling Pegasus for a heli b4 they were personal vehicles off the ceo menu they only spawned at the helipads. Twas a different time back then. Edit:  just like locate a car/boat you wouldn’t get wanted level or a bounty for taking it.

Flags as in your SC profile may - or may not - carry a cheater flag/mark/brand/note now, and should you do something R* doesn't like again when playing this or any other R* game in the future, if both games are tied to the same SC account, when reviewing your case R* may - or may not - take note that you cheated in GTAO already, and for that reason they may less than forgiving, even if it was your first time cheating in some other game.

Sure they can "flag" people who abuse glitches, but they would not gain much by doing so. At this point I'd say over 1/3 or 1/2 of the player base has participated in some form of exploit at any given point in GTAO. Rockstar is well aware that their game is a broken mess, and only ever pulls out the money wipe/ban hammer during severe cases. No one will likely face further consequences now or at any point in the future unless they are using a third party software to modify the game to their advantage.

I don't know how right or wrong you are with your estimate, but I believe the key here is who exploited a glitch that R* thought was severe enough to "punish" for. Take this plane glitch for example. I don't know what kind of alert system R* has in place, but looking at how long it took for them to get to wiping, it's quite likely they took the time to manually do the necessary queries to player transaction database and confirm the results before bringing the hammer down. So in this case we are not talking about just some random small alerts that may or may not have been triggered by accident and were too minor for them to investigate and to confirm, but big enough for them to waste resources on. So instead of "maybe did something bad" flag these players could now have "confirmed, did something bad" flags.

 

Or maybe not, we don't know.

Ugh these fools on my list been bothering all day to run bogdan with them because they lost all their glitched money. I warned them that this would happen and they called me a paranoid pussy and said Rockstar wouldn't do anything. Now they keep bothering me even though during the bogdan week they ignored the sh*t out of me when i needed to do bogdan because they were to busy afk and because of that only made a few mils in sales. Lol now I'm ignoring them. I don't wanna play this game currently. What should I do? I feel bad for them but at the same time i don't want to help them at all.

Don't even compare heist resets with what you were possibly doing that's two different things.

 

 

Heist requires for you to do the whole thing unlike going in circle like  like a chode next to an airplane with that glitch.

Screw them! If they wanna be upset with you over dumb stuff like that, then let ‘em moan and find someone else to help them.

Because I am very kind in nature. And that's an actual problem I have my kindness is my worse enemy.  I've could've done the glitch too but chose not to I had a feeling that this would happen. So I opted out. I actually met some new people during that week that helped me with my sales and vice versa. Which was nice. I had hella fun with them doing sales. I might stop depending on bogdan re runs and play legit again instead.

I'd even say it's easier to just play the game!

Not as profitable, but definitely more fun than just waiting out many 48 min cooldowns.

Classic example of taking more effort avoiding work than just going ahead and getting the job done, perhaps.

You're still subject to the daily sell limit though. Don't sell back-to-back, it will raise a flag, even on legitimately owned vehicles.

I had no idea!

The only cars I've sold were blue & yellow Sentinels, before that Felon/Sentinel GTs, and a few crs from my first character I didn't use.

I just assumed the rules were the same across the board.
