Everyone's probably seen that a lot lately. If anyone doesn't know what it is, it's just a money glitch that involves going AFK there.

 

My question is - how do people feel about finding ways to mess with them? I'm mixed. I don't care that they're making money - I'd be doing it myself if there was much coming for me to buy. But at the same time, there's something so tempting about them. I don't know. They hog all the session slots and make them boring. Why don't they just go invite only?

 

It's not so bad I guess - pretty bizarre seeing it in all the sessions, it's something to remember at least. I toyed with them a couple of times, but got bored. What does everyone else do with them?

 

I'm leaving them for now I think. Just going to wait for the red dead update, have some time on that instead.

As far as i know, this glitch doesn´t work on Pc. Atleast i saw nobody there doing it today. Guess that´s great for a bit of ZR-380 fun.

More concerned with the knock on effects, with a DLC potentially around the corner, R*'s pricing could be affected. Or they could break more game to patch this even. (Maybe even remove Lester calling for a spell to temp fix, I dunno).

Yeah I wanted to get some extra cash but keep getting "too many transactions" alert  (PC)

It's not modding or anything; but the least they'd do is a money wipe of some sort, and even that's hard for R* to put a finger on as there's far too many players doing it at this point...

I gave the glitch a go. I went up to $10,000 and stopped it. I have never ever glitched money in the 5 years I've been playing, except for this.

 

I'll be sticking to VIP as usual

 

Ugh, that $10,000 though. Wish I hadn't had done it.

 

I can understand why people are doing it, heck, I even suggested it to a friend as he started GTA Online last week. Its fast, piss easy and can be done solo. But I'm always going to be against money glitches (despite actually glitching 10k today... faking irony). Reason being is that a lot of people, including myself, have put so much work into GTAO to earn money, it seems kind of annoying and frustrating that anyone can "earn" (if you wanna call it that) over 4 million by simply standing next to a jet for 3 hours, which would have taken me a good 2, maybe 3 days to achieve.

 

Personally, I hope it gets hotfixed ASAP.

Eh I'm still not gonna risk it. My black guy senses are tingling with this one and I seriously don't wanna take a chance getting all my money wiped... I'll stick with Act 2

I honestly hadn't thought about it, but this thread suddenly makes me want to take my Sasquatch with the electric fence ram and park it with them in the electrocution zone.  While inconsistent, I have been able to kill people who are in passive with that before.

And to keep it safe i used the money to buy some assets like cars or planes and sell it in case of a money wipe happens

GtaO has been so dull this year that this glitch just may offer the best entertainment/social pr0n so far; the high payout (25-30mil a day) and wide spread kind of guarantees some sort of reaction by R*. I may be wrong, but I really don't see R* giving people abusing this exploit a pass. Otherwise they'd be sending a signal to all honest players to start abusing any and every exploit like there's no tomorrow. It would also be one notch harder for them to defend any kind of punishments given for abusing glitches or exploits in the future if one this big doesn't lead to any sort of punishment. So money wipes at the minimum. It will be interesting to see if "bogdan glitchers" will be "collateral damage"; if R* runs some "over this many dollars earned/this many timeunits" search, refund glitchers won't be only ones to end up sour.

I don't really care to be honest, especially at this point. I thought about messing with them but on the flip side I've been playing this game since 2014 and I've never even glitched or modded but with the recent Benny merge glitch I couldn't help myself so I jumped on board and 'made' about 80M to spend on cars, I wouldn't be surprised if half of the players doing this glitch did it for the same reason so I can understand, if not for the Benny glitch then for the money because things in this game are stupidly expensive... I can't speak for everyone but I don't really care about having money on GTAO, I personally just wanted to get back cars I stupidly sold in the past and then now couldn't afford to buy back, w/ the addition of having some unique modifications. If I get banned over all of this then oh well, it'll suck but it's been like 5 years or so for me on here and I've gotten bored. If I don't get banned and content stays entertaining then I'll continue buying sharkcards as I usually do and keep enjoying the content. 

 

Not trying to defend me or others here because if you're doing this glitch or the Benny glitch then you're certainly in the wrong but if R* do a ban wipe over this glitch and the Benny glitch then the majority of the player base will be gone and this game will surely die.

I'm happy for them. Rockstar doesn't play fair so the players have no obligation to play fair either. So many game hampering bugs go unfixed, items are stupidly overpriced, excessive paywalls, gameplay designed to impede the player etc. Anything that gives the players an edge is a win in my book.

Act 2 finale repeat exploit has been a thing over a year and people never got there money taken. Also has twice the payout per hour compared to this money exploit. Most public lobbies have players afk waiting for businesses to produce, tryhard players abusing game mechanics, and trolling those doing businesses, and currently players in hanger making money off this exploit. So its super difficult to find players in freemode or in jobs for that matter. More funny how the game is now over half a decade old and still people find massive exploits like this. 

 

Irony if they actually wanted to wipe the money from this exploit, there is a simple exploit to bypass the money removal screen. Which was last a thing when rockstar wiped the money from "modded account transfers in the last few months transfers were possible. But no other money from glitches has ever been taken away from players. They also update the anti-dupe scripts every 3 updates, (which will happen next update) but still allow players to keep the cash from selling duped cars... 

 

Less people would be doing exploits like this, if rockstar didn't design missions to fail for businesses, made changes that negatively effect legit players, balanced the game, and fixed many bugs that plague the game, like titan for ceo crates. The amount of players doing this exploit show there is a big problem with the game. 

 

And as the clown posted above me, rockstars attempt to screw with the players has backfired miserably as proved by amount of people doing this exploit.

Indeed to me it's like a time well spent 1000 per seconds in just an hour i can grab 2mil, maybe if they set the contact missions payout 30-50k per missions and NOT stuck only in dispatch missions, ddh connection is stable, people won't be using this glitch, Rockstar should reflects to themselves instead of banning people, i'm all legit until i see this glitch, and i said f*ck it let's do it

 

i have nothing to lose anyway, there's not enough good content anymore in this game, if they ban me just do it, i have done everything in this game anyway, and today it mostly PvP nonsense which is bullsh*t...

Yes, I'm a huge enthusiast for passive mode and leaving players alone to do their missions, but come on, it's like, 10 people, just there... It's so easy, and the temptation to just do something stupid is so strong.

I dont like griefing but if you are foolish enough to do this in a Public Lobby then you deserve all you get.
