Frykill Posted February 24, 2019 Share Posted February 24, 2019 For the last 5 days I have been put into worlds devoid of life. I figured i would try last night and see what happens. I discovered that if you join a session with someone who is in one of these Red dead Redemption clubs, more times than not, I get put into a working server. For anyone experiencing dead worlds, give this a try. You should still be able to play until R* figures out a permanent fix. Note-Once you enter a working world, you cant jump servers. Don't do story missions as it can lag out out of the session. Stranger missions and all npcs work as they should. Hope this helps. But One of my rough riders was having the exact same issue (ps4pro)(fiber wired connection) This went on for a couple days where he was ready to just stop playing I told him to reset his modem . From what im seeing, it's an xbox problem, and it has something to do with the US servers. I joined people on the EU server and game works fine. Joining within my region doesnt work. After a week of no help from R*, and some community members that are sick of waiting. No one knows if the update on the 26th will fix this. It was a long loading but when I spawned in there were animals, peds, carts & coaches and most importantly frigging stranger missions WORKED ! Thanks for the tip very helpful ! Yeah, there wasn't a lot going on, not many agressive players, but unfortunately I got disconnected when 3 guys spawned in nearby and started shooting up Rhodes, but at least I was able to do a few things in my usual routine. That‘s because this bug occurs completely randomly and afaik there‘s no way to reproduce it rn, which means there‘s no way to test workarounds . op was just lucky imo. I know I was on the EU server simply because it sounded classy. It could simply be an issue with the US servers. Rockstar hasnt addressed it as far as I know. As far as I am aware, there is no option whatsoever to choose which "region" of server to join. Also, I am pretty sure they are AGAIN using P2P servers like with GTA. That would certainly explain the random disconnections and half the lobby leaving at once. I am on Xbox and never once had this "lifeless world" bug, not yet anyway... Once you are a member, you direct join a member from the clubs page. I've been put in every server but the US. Usually language is the first indication I'm not in Kansas anymore. You could have 10 different nationalities in one lobby, because everyone gets put into a random lobby. This is the same as GTA. I think you're misunderstanding now, I am happy for you that this fixes the issue, my point was only that there are no region-specific servers, or ability to choose which one you join, which is what you seemed to imply.
