Tbh, a simple QoL update fixing all the minor annoyances that they can get from a quick poll would be a massive godsend...

 

 

As for actually attracting players though, probably something with cutscenes and a story. God knows I enjoyed DDH when it first came out, although it did add to the trend of increasingly weaponised vehicles

I never said battle royal, I said survival freeroam, that's completely different, it has no end like BR, no shrinking boundary, no last man standing element... it might be like many survival games, but nothing like BR.

Sorry if my suggestion came off as a request for BR, that's the last thing I want in GTAO.

My suggestion too would be for them to pause, and stop trying to bolt on ever more repetitive DLCs and think about enhancing what already exists.

 

The game is desperate for new hairstyles, clothing, accessories, tattoos, animations, jewellery etc

 

This is Grand Theft Auto, so instead of endless promotional T-shirts, why not promotional and exclusive wheel and tyre sets, paint colours, spoilers, bodykits?

 

More treasure hunts and activities that unlock special items, weapons, vehicles even. Make players work for those prizes, they do appreciate having something to do.

 

Buff the things that you can call for on the phone. The idea of a Merryweather backup helicopter is great, but in practice it's rubbish, so nobody uses it.

 

Give the choice to have your second character as either

 

a) A character that exists within their own account with their own rank, money, stuff etc, or 

b) a simple skin swap so that you have one account, but can switch between character model 1 and 2

 

Lastly, and I believe that this would be the best addition that could be made, the ability to have your second character as a semi-autonomous companion, with a basic control system similar to Bethesda's

1. Contact mission creator. So many possibilities. Contact missions pay bugger all now relative to other income streams, so exploits wouldn't be practical, but the gameplay opportunities that would emerge are next to infinite.

2. Add new cars to Import/Export. Seriously. It drives me insane that only old cars can be sourced and sold.

3. New achievements. More than anything, the thing that would keep me personally playing this game is new achievements for really grindy tasks THAT ONLY REQUIRE ONE PLAYER. None of this four player rubbish. I want an achievement for getting to level 500, or owning over 100 cars. Selling a full cargo warehouse, or owning one of each biker business. That would give me a reason to keep playing beyond the newest shiny car

Absolutely LOVE this. Gimme a lip spoiler for the Revolter.

 

Another suggestion to improve the game:

1. Add transmission and bodykit features to iFruit ie, spoiler, bumpers, roof scoops and allow us to remove bulletproof tires.

treasure hunts would be fun. They could add 'overboard shipping containers' (acting as the new crate drops) that contain unique car modifications, car keys (to cars that have to be unlocked this way), wearables and weapons/weapon upgrades which you have to get by getting in a scuba suit and looking for it -- in addition give us harpoons to take out other players trying to get to the same shipping container.

I would love to be able to do races, deathmatches, LTS, contact missions with other people etc but the payouts are so bad that after waiting on call for 10+ minutes I just give up.

 

3. Redo the heists so we aren't being punished by idiots and make them doable with less people

I can do the Prison Break Plane set up on my own and we only need one person alive to deliver the plane so why the f*ck does the mission fail if someone leaves or an idiot dies? If the prisoner or prison guard dies in the prison then f*ck em the raiming person can clear the prison. Someone dies in the Series A finale then 2 people can drive the trucks and do without the backup. 90% of heist set ups and finales should be able to be started with less than 4 people and should not fail when someone dies or leaves.

 

Same with MOC/Special vehicle missions. They can be started with less than 4 people so when someone leaves and there is still 2+ people the mission doesn't need to fail.

 

5. bring back Benny

Every DLC add 20 or 30 cars to Bennys and have 1 or 2 released every week as drip feed. We will have new content every week and can have proper DLCs again with all the new cars released on the day of the DLC.

 

6. more unlockable stuff

I like that we had to play Deadline to unlock the Shotaro and I like the IDEA of research. I would like to have more cars/clothes as mission/level unlocks. What I would like to see is more bunker like research but instead of the crap we got we get to choose what to unlock and do a mini mission to unlock it.

 

7. give me back my f*cking cop outfit. There is no harm in me having it and it should never have been removed.

 

8. storable cop cars

I would like vigilante type missions that unlock the ability to store and modify cop cars. First would be basic cop cars then FIB/riot vans and finally after a lot of missions Benny would turn any car into a cop car with lights, livery etc.

 

8. Businesses in invite only

This is f*cking stupid that we have to do it in public with assholes when we are fighting aimbot npcs anyway. Why the f*ck can't I do the stupid 5 drop MW bunker mission in invite only? Also why can't I buy supplies in invite only? I want to do some CEO crates to grind some levels but 95% of the time I play I'm in invite only and I can't be bothered switching to public to do some crates. We always have cars dupes which is better money anyway so no harm in nerfing the money a bit and allowing people to do it in invite only.

 

If even a few of those was added I would start playing this game again properly all I have really been doing for the last few months is glitching and returning for a few hours for new DLC and dripfeed cars. Right now all we get are the same boring adversary modes and businesses and they got boring after the first 2 hours. 

 

If they fixed the heists and let us play them mostly with 2 people and weren't penalized for randoms quitting I'd actually be able to replay heists. Would add infinite repeatability for me personally. The choices they made are baffling and its like they wanted the heists to be as annoying and not fun as possible and they destroyed racing and missions due to no money being attached. Why?

What would (for me)

First: Rebalancing weaponized vehicles that are underpowered taking the relashionship between the deluxo/OP MK1/Stromberg as a base, and form everything around it, for example: Reduce accuracy of the MK2 missiles, increasing armor and number of missiles from the ruiner 2000, more armor to the vigilante, increasing the armor of the menacer to the same as the insurgent and make it being able to drop mines and hook the AA trailer. 

Second: Instead of adding a lot of new vehicles, reducing the number of add ons and giving more care to the old ones, like giving an active spoiler to the adder, giving the working bugcatchers to other muscle cars, improving textures and FFS MORE BENNYS CONVERSIONS. I want a bennys manana, gauntlet, furore GT and some other forgotten cars. 

Third: FIX THE TYRANT SIZE

Fourth: More business battles missions, and more fun freemode events, like king of the castle or transporting vehicle. get rid of all the parachute ones. 

Last but not least: Old businesses needs more variety, like more vehicles to import/export, new missions for CEO crates (resuplying no one cares because everyone buy suplies). New selling missions, giving the opportunity to sell more than 4 vehicles at a time, selling large CEO shipments with just one giant truck, etc.

i think an interesting dlc theme always brings players back, after that its just a case of making them stay for the duration until the new dlc arrives. i think a dlc with lots of cheap, but interesting content. that will still take time to grind, but the prices give players an incentive to stick around more would work well. also something with a long series of story / missions is better than just dumping a new business into online

I agree. One thing I thought would be fun would be a treasure hunt, where each week, over say five weeks, a number had to be found from scraps of clues hidden around the map. Once you had the 4-digit number, the fifth week would be a quest to find out which storage garage to take it to. When you entered the code at the garage door keypad, the garage would open and you would gain a legendary, exclusive vehicle.

Hi, If you want to attract/re-excite hardcore-players/role-players/realism freaks to this game, then please do the following.

Make the following >session type< available where:
- Active mode locks everything to 1st Person/Cockpit View (no hood view either)
- Passive mode unlock all views
- The new radar mechanics from RDO are into effect.
- The only targeting mode are the 1 true free-aim mode.
Release it with bells & whistles as 'GTAO Hardcore' or 'GTAO X' mode and you're done.

I know enough of old players who would get re-ignited and even more potential new players that would be attracted by this game mode.

 

And it's simple to implement... No new objects/vehicles/textures/gameplay-mechanics... or even much new coding...

They 'just' have to grab the Radar stuff from RDO, the rest is already there and could be enabled/optionalised with a minimal effort...

Hell they could make most of this happen almost immediately and then release the radar change later...

The ability to sell properties that we no longer use without having to buy a lower grade version. 

 

Re-evaluate the prices for vehicles, especially older ones that are no longer useful because of the newer militarized ones. All those older planes and helicopters that can't be equipped with weapons should definitely have their prices dropped.

 

I want to see some changes to the personal vehicle spawn locations. Last night I was standing on the beach in Paleto Bay and used the action menu to call in my Dodo (that's another thing, action menu negates the need to call the mechanic or Pegasus every time) and my Dodo, which is a sea plane, spawns a mile away on the beach....really Rockstar? 90% of the time that I'm in a contact mission, I use my Buzzard. That also spawns no where near my location. Yet, if I'm in free roam and use the menu to call in my free CEO Buzzard, it spawns in within a few feet of me.

 

I think at this point in the game's life, it wouldn't hurt to permanently increase the contact mission payouts and the heist payouts. Rockstar and Take-Two have made so much money from shark cards (in part thanks to the lowered payouts of the missions) that raising the standard payouts in the game won't hurt their bottom line and maybe players would spend more time in the game. For the first few years of the game's life I played to earn the money to buy the various vehicles that I liked. Now when I play, it has nothing to do with trying to get any new vehicles. I couldn't care less about what new vehicle is being weaponized; it's not a motivation for me to play.

 

New map expansion or at least new things to do on the current map.

 

I'd like the director mode to be turned into a proper sandbox for making videos. Allow us to invite friends into director mode and give us access to all vehicles and weapons. What is the point in having a director mode when you're the only person in there?

 

A change to the rockstar editor camera range would be nice. It would allow for more dynamic video production.
