I don't get it. I was just about to post the same comment, if it counted in a win/loss stat or you got a load of xp I could understand it a bit. Van_Hellsing
This is why we need private lobbies. I can't stay online for some time, without getting booted from the server. As an added bonus, daily challenge counters are not preserved. As a cherry on top, the servers routinely pair you with a scumbag. But I'm prepared and expect a griefer to appear behind me when I enter a lobby. In that respect, gta was better thought out with dunce caps and cheater lobbies. Yesterday I was chillin' in my camp. Another perfect specimen spawned near me. Luckily it was a dumb fck. He started trying to lasso me, tackle me, shoot me. I patiently waited for him to figure it out that this was my camp. I also looked up the daily pvp objectives. First try to grief me and then walk away while turning your back on me. Perfect. Foxwolfe
Seriously, those are the people that make me scratch my head the most. hell last two "pvp" encounters I had were exactly those types. First was a rank 6 that spawned next to my camp (like in vid above) and proceeds to run into my camp and immediately jump on my horse and start riding off. I quickly dismount him and like always the f*cker then starts shooting my horse, like wtf. I shot the dude and then he jumped off a cliff for some reason, respawned and then ran back into my camp where I walked back to. I proceeded to lower the flag literally in front of his face and then blasted him, dude parlayed and wandered off. Second one was riding along the train tracks in big valley, saw me off to the side and decided he wanted to show off how good he was at shooting people I guess. Got up close and since I was still in camp obviously couldn't shoot me but had to keep shoving his shotgun up in my face. Finally starts to leave so I just follow him out of camp and shoot him as he leaves. Van_Hellsing, Failed Again and Amy Vinewood

Van_Hellsing
The spawn system is really totally broken lately. I disconnect all the time. When I go online again, the game spawns me near a hostile posse or a griefer. I am prepared because I expect that to happen. Rockstar resets your inventory wheel to the default and you lose all dead eye. Before you can sort it out, some griefer jumps you. Griefers are usually not the sharpest tool in the shed, but they are many. And some respawn in front of you again. Red Lynx 23
And this is When Justice is Served Episode twenty. It just happened to be a special episode, especially when you consider the salty messages. Coxbox
This was a good one we disrupted a small posse delivering mailbags and we managed to steal two and deliver them. this posse got so mad that they then spent the next 20 minutes consuming enough tonic to bring down an elephant, eventually they ran out and we started to kill them, they then rode to valentine to stock up on more. Once again they came back, this time we went to our camp and just waved at them for 10 minutes "we could not stop laughing". Eventually they got the message and left to do a mission, so we waited for it to start and ruined their day, Red Lynx 23

"A griefer or bad faith player is a player in a multiplayer video game who deliberately irritates and harasses other players within the game (trolling), using aspects of the game in unintended ways." What we did: Stopping them is part of the game, just like it was in GTA Online Freemode Missions. We did not troll them, we achieved the task in hand and left the area, both times, unlike what they did, spending 20 minutes chasing us around the map killing our horses and breaking our parlays. if you don't want players shooting you during Freemode Missions go play the story mode. We are just earning money and leveling up at any opportunity as the game wants you too. Edited May 7, 2019 by Coxbox Chrismads

Okay, maybe you have a point. So if I roll up on you while your minding your own business and blast you in the face with a sawed off shotgun, that's fine right? After all it was a daily challenge. The game never said I had to do it in PvP. What you fail to see, is that most people don't want to screwed with. Unfortunately, the game does it invite it by design. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think what you posted belongs in this thread. Paying back griefers isn't shooting people that you provoked in the first place. ThaBirdCoot
I'll abuse launching stranger mission to break parley for sh*theads that kill me without any reason. Until they are gone.. I don't have an issue with someone going after the objective if it so happens to be, but if you kill me while I was afk or while I was unable to defend myself while skinning an animal. I'll give you a taste of being a dickhead. Don't feel bad in the slightest. So many low levels do this sh*t, they need be taught a lesson. Call me mad, salty whatever, I couldn't care less. Chrismads
If you start a stranger mission, you're sending out a invite for pvp. But if you ruin someones stranger mission, you must expect them to retaliate. Noone is doing anything wrong there imo. It is not only "griefers" who can be brought to justice. Players skinning animals you killed, players stealing animals off your horse, players being assholes on mic.. those are some of the "non griefers" I've been serving justice. I guess you could include ppl who f*ck with your stranger missions as someone needing justice served.. dunno we might need a judge ThaBirdCoot, Amy Vinewood, Foxwolfe and 1 other
Foxwolfe
Honestly that's prolly why missions like "paid killing tracking" and the other one where there's just like 6 "targets" and a bunch of accompanying npcs are my favorites, easy enough to draw out the clock while doing the mission (those are the ones I "wait" the least on) and the game doesn't incentivize other players to disrupt you.
