I can understand that Rockstar wants to minimize traffic, but the counters should be preserved locally. Some B&M now. If it is preventing hackers from potentially cheating or just lazy programming, I don't know. Cheating with the counters can be avoided by some form of encryption. Very frustrating because the game has been a disconnection sh*t fest lately. I hammered a griefer in the ground 5 times in a row. Great, 10/20. Bam, disconnection. Back to 5/20. Rockstar has intended to be achieved in showdowns, no doubt. It is pretty naive to ignore that pvp challenges trickle down in freeroam. One tryhard was eyeballing me. Why not? Give me your best shot. Is that all you got? Now it's my turn. I rapidly dispatched the tryhard five times in two minutes. I would have gone for the whole mile, but Mr. Tryhard bailed the session. I can not dub music in the clip, but imagine the song of P.O.D. Boom! in the vid. If you go head to head with someone, dope your horse. And preferably yourself as well. One player killed me and ran off to a fast travel point. I nailed him and he immediately bailed the session. I chose volunteers for pvp daily challenges very carefully. Blackwater used to be a great cesspit. Now Blackwater is a ghost town. But you can count on Saint Dennis. So cruisin' Saint Dennis, looking for trouble and trouble found me. Getting shot in the back at close range made the perfect volunteer for the 3x kill with a bow challenge. Mr. Blue took the challenge like a champ... Funny enough I can't recall anyone parlaying against me, but at the same time I don't seem to see nearly as much action in this regard as you guys do. Fearing for your life (which well, when a gun is pointed at you only a psycho wouldn't be worried) you'd get self-defense. Someone could be pointing a gun at someone other then you, and you could shoot them dead. Then it's self-defense of a third party. Depending on the state, someone could just break into your home, and you can shoot them dead, no questions asked. If you trespass on someones property with clearly posted warning signs, you can be shot on sight if the dude/dudette is serious about it. (You can tell who's serious, they normally have one sign bout every 2 feet around the property, hah.) Normally they'd just pop one off in the air but they don't have to be so nice about it. Had a friend in HS shoot some irate guy that came on his property when his parents weren't home. Depends on the state laws but, yeah, you sure as sh*t can. Another posse got disconnected from the money drop off mission. I picked up a money bag and waited for a volunteer. A flaming red hot chili was taking the bait.
