Tried to make a shine sale to finish the $200 made daily, some goof tried to blow up the wagon just west of Emerald Stn. Fortunately, as there was a red dot fighting with someone nearby before I initiated the sale, I had loaded my semmi-auto shotgun with explosive slugs. He chased the wagon and threw dynamite 4 times, and missed of course, it's hard to hit a moving target with thrown dynamite, so I deadeyed and shot his horse 'cause apparently he was using slip, then he sniped me. I spawned east of the station, called my horse and rode over to the wagon, but he'd set it on fire, so I blasted his ass and left the session before the wagon was destroyed, I'd had a hard enough time getting the sale done due to waiting for a buyer other than stupid Bert to unlock, entering and re-entering the shack 'cause Baguette (Marcel) wasn't there, I wasn't going to let this idiot ruin it. The next session I still had to re-enter the shack 4 times to get it to actually work. ============================================================================== As a side note, not my justice, but another player who was driving the train today. I had to ride from Flatneck all the way 'round on the tracks to St.Denis outskirts before finding the train, another dude got there a little ahead of me, so I settled in on the flatcar after the tender while he drove. A little later another player caught up and made his way to the front of the train. I waved at him but he took no notice and proceeded to hop up on the tender, so I figured something was up, but I'm not the shoot first type of player. Sure enough he hauled the first guy out of the cab and started driving the train, I hopped up on the tender to assist, but the first guy took him out with a rifle no problem. I planned to play guard while he finished driving, so downed a tonic and prepared. The second guy respawned and caught up to the train, but stayed on the end of the last flatcar of the train, then when the first guy was done, he moved back and I took over driving while he guarded. I guess the second guy learned a little lesson in manners today. I finished, walked back and waved at both of them before leaving on my horse. This was the first one, I just logged in and got the posse started when this player thought they were going to be smart and attack me. It took a few kills before the player finally figured out it was a bad idea to mess with us, after all we did allow him the chance to leave after that first time I killed him. The low levels are so finicky these days. You would think us higher level players would be so bored with nothing to do that we would be hunting these newer players down, but every player that attacks me is under level 50. *shrugs* Have I mentioned I hate the damn wheel! Wasn't a griefer, but got some hilarious "justice" last night on an NPC--was bored at Emerald Station, so I took the Stranger mission to deliver supplies to O'Creagh's Run. About halfway there, an NPC on a horse approached from behind, so I turned around and took out his horse with my shotgun--he flies off, and slammed face-first into a tree. Quite honestly, looked like something out of Looney Tunes; only wish I had recorded it! 8-D Got a big laugh out of that one. Had one shoot at me yesterday as I was passing because the griefer I had to deal with had been abusing them. I rode by on my way into Strawberry and let it go, hopefully they realize they were being jumpy for no reason, they missed anyway, and we were both in defensive. We ran into some resistance (enough for my friend to later say he was glad he recruited us). We had just finished off one group about a minute before a lone rider popped on the screen. He was minding his own business, didn't approach us or get close and got off his horse to pick a flower. Not sure why he got off his horse, but he was in no way a threat to us. Someone in our posse one shotted him. I was furious. I was later told that the person said he thought it was funny and that I should get over it. I asked my friend not to invite me again if he couldn't control his posse members. Yeah, there are some situations, like the one you described, that I'll let pass unless they chase me. If someone pops a shot off that misses and doesn't follow it up, I'll let that slide. The thing is, because of R* give aways, you never know what kind of weaponry players are carrying, some rank 20 noob that your posse member thought it would be funny to kill could easily have a stockpile of free dynamite arrows, that's goodnight to your friends long distance sale. I probably wouldn't do that, because I respect the money grind, but I know players who absolutely would have taken down the sale for that. PiB3+Improved Bow+dynamite arrows and you can get hit from so far away that you never see it coming. One persons shallow attention span could have cost that Leader and the entire Posse money and time. I would have been very annoyed and if it was me who was attacked for no reason by a large Posse then its gloves off and Explosive Ammo into the Carano. I mean if its one guy delivering his sh*t and he shoots me if I get close then I will give him the benefit of the doubt and leave him be but if its two/three or more people than its no holds barred. One person with no weapons drawn is not a threat to three people. darkmaster234 Posted August 20, 2020 Share Posted August 20, 2020 Lol yesterday it was fun, i was trying to trigger the authorities in valentine for the daily ( it was lonely at first as it was 10-11pm) until a posse of 3 appeared, one of them shooting me dead from the back. Initially i thought of resigning and going for rhodes, but they pursued me hard... so faced them and kill all of them in a row with my bolt action and double navys ( not noobs, but not good enough either). Everything was fun and gags until one of them seems, put the griefer glasses and turn on slippery bastard + carcano. .... i was killed until boredom as i didnt have my sniper with me and had sended my horse away to not get him killed. Me and my husband headed into Valentine so he could resupply and all, while he was doing that I was sitting on my horse outside the saloon. At that point the free roam mission must have let out because all of a sudden I was surrounded by blue dots, probably most of the server ended up spawning around me. Anyways everybody was running about to the shoppes and all while I sat there, a few other players were just chilling on their horses too when this player comes running up to me and pulls me from my horse. As I went to grab my gun he moved to attack me when I heard gunfire. The player ran down the street and before I could fire my gun he was downed and had placed charges against another player, I turn around and there are three different posses on their horses with their guns out in the street behind me. I sent a thank you to the player that killed my attacker as they all dispersed. It was just so cool to turn around and see all of those players with their guns out ready to help if they were needed.
