I was after some alcohol bottles and I knew that there was one in an underground tunnel at the harbor in Saint Denis. As luck would have it, a griefer was terrorizing da 'hood. 

 

It came to my attention, by an unnamed YouTuber, that bola's do work in defensive mode. It was a perfect opportunity to put this to the test. Killing a griefer only fuels the desire for revenge. My goal was humiliation. 

 

 

For a griefer there is no bigger embarrassment to get tied up by his intended victim. This specimen winded up getting tied up twice by a dominatrix, before giving up. I pissed my pants of laughing.

I feel like the last couple of weeks have been bad for aggressive behavior. I would go all week and alot of waves and tips of the hats... but now, more often then not its blue dot... then gunshots.

^^ You're not alone (PC here as well); a lot of players are really bored with RDO.

 

I've been (somewhat) lucky though, and recently managed to dodge a couple of red dot griefers, as well as some suspicious blue dot players.

 

Where possible, I give people space and the benefit of the doubt, but anyone following me or otherwise acting suspicious get some kind of warning before they're toast.

Guess what, I'm back! Seems we are getting at least one of these low level shoot 'em in the back types every game play now. Must be a member of the infamous "game pass cowboys" I have been hearing about. He shot me in the back and started shooting at my horse when we rode by, so I returned the favor. He kept coming and well, that last shot was my version of "goodbye".  Lol, why do horses respawn without their tails like that? My poor little girl!

^^ Nicely done! Or should I say "well done"? lol I like my red dots to be extra crispy on both sides.

 

Last night I had two players (at different times) try to steal loot from kills I made and muscle in on a random event; both were quickly taught a lesson.

 

I understand how frustrating and annoying it is to see a column of smoke in the distance; you quickly ride to it only to find that someone else beat you to it. But at that point, it's theirs--not mine.

I liked how in the middle of a fight you took time out to give your horse a carrot.

R* had the bright idea to add "use an emote on another player in freeroam". So I was off to Valentine. Valentine is a coming and going of players. And also a lot of scumm. I had bad vibes, so I equipped Slippery Besterd. Just as

I was getting my final emote done I hit the jackpot. 

 

 

The griefer was about to blow my brains out as instant karma hit him. 

 

 

The griefer was run over by another player. I activated SB and ran out of the kill zone. I equipped myself with the punisher and blasted the griefer off his socks. The griefer stayed inside the hotel. 

 

Some other griefer wanted to have a piece of me with a machete. I blew him up. 

 

 

Good times with the community.

I didn’t clip it, but yesterday while collecting for Madam Nazar I saw a camp on the next cliff (npc) and the binoculars showed a case underneath a cart glowing. I rode over left my horse nearby, as I was exploring a griefer turns up and shoots my horse dead. I jump down to where my now dead horse lies and the griefer is still hanging around. I equip dynamite that I didn’t know I had and throw it up over the ledge killing both griefer and his/her horse, best RDR$4 I’ve spent!

I was hanging out in my favorite defensible spot last night, when two players decided to try and harass me (there were no collectables or significant loot around me, so they had no business where I was).

 

They tried with dynamite and fire bottles (both of which failed miserably and backfired on them)--I had tested those two attack methods myself earlier anyway, so I knew they wouldn't work.

 

...but! Thankfully, they also tried toxic moonshine, which I don't have (and couldn't test), and this also failed... so I'm thankful for two morons helping me out with that.

Mark and I were out collecting (as usual) and had a pair of griefers think they could have a play with us. Well they did have a play but I'm not sure they liked the outcome. It's a longer one than usual but we were in the mood for punishing them.

An excellent spot for using the dynamite--not too far they can run in that area, and a fair amount of obstacles to impede running.

Definitely; that rundown shack is very minimal for cover as well as the few sparse trees; those griefers picked a bad spot to start all that!

Well that didn't go over well for them at all.  I especially love the part with the big boom. That player was like, "I finally got some solid ground".  And @AmyStone was like, "hold my beer I wanna try something".

 

I had one last night but it wasn't really worth recording, some low level player. And by low level, I am saying a lvl 8, decided he/she wanted to take some shots at me as I was entering the Rhodes station. Going into this one I figured they might be trouble because they were shooting at all of the other lower level players that happened to be in Rhodes at the time. Stil I gave them the benefit of the doubt and did not react initially but after six shots I was done. I came back out of the station and sent them a bullet to the head for a greeting and then casually went back in to finish what I was doing. It's possible they didn't look at my level when they shot at me, because after I killed them they waited for a few minutes at the cemetary on the hill and when I came back out, bolt action aimed and ready, they got on their horse and took off.

My avatar is modeled after Selene. It is very difficult to model a cute female character. Most of the time, they turn out to be a meth head.

The video reminds me of robbing a store in GTA and running to my Buzzard, but just as I left the store I was flattened by an NPC truck.

I did nothing but laugh for several minutes after that, of course no recording of it, but it's those type of moments that redeem many of the faults in these games.

 

Agreed, I spent my free change appearance coupon trying to remedy the gaunt look of my otherwise very curvy character (modeled after my wife).

 

One can certainly not go wrong using the lovely Ms Beckinsale as their inspiration, one of my top favorite actresses.

A bit off topic: A nice place to start is this video. I didn't follow the recipe to the letter. My avatar has a bit rounder face. But it is a good start.

I did a camp sale mission outside Rhodes. I rode around the railroad track to avoid the town center. Sure enough there was a punk feeling lucky. 

 

Rockstar is turning you into griefer bait during a sale mission. You are completely exposed, you don't have access to the complete arsenal and you are stuck in a slow getting-off-the-wagon animation. I go fully defensive with slow-and-steady, never without one and fool me once. I get off the wagon and unleash hell. 

 

 

After an uneven fight I get on with the sale mission. 

 

 

Mission accomplished.

So this one was sort of my fault as I had just finished a mission and was still in Offensive, but anyways these two players were at Madam Nazar when I arrived and, in an attempt at good will I greeted the posse leader before I did my business. When I came out of the store screen I see a rope fly past me and when I turn my camera I see these two trying to lasso me. But of course they can't because I'm standing right next to her. Next thing I know one of them shoots me in the back of the head. Okay, I'm in offensive so even though I'm frustrated about them bothering me I shrug it off and decide to play along a bit.

Well these guys just shoot me in the head and then they take off!  So I decide I'm gonna chase them down. I do check to see if these are higher level players or some of the foolish newer players that have been taking pot shots at me here and there because I'm not going to waste my time with fledglings. But the leader's a higher lvl and should know better so I continue to give chase. First I didn't know they were two on the back of the horse, and second I could have easily gone after that level 17 player without even breaking a sweat but I did not because I was still willing to show them a kindness. I only went after the player who targeted me, got my vengeance, and rode away. They left the server right afterwards.

 

The lesson for today is, don't start what you don't intend to finish.

What's the deal with these shirtless dumbasses that hang around Valentine looking to sneak up, lasso or tackle other players? Every time I see one of these clowns I know exactly what they're up to. Did they really buy RDR as a wrestling simulator? Venture out once in a while, work, make some money and buy some clothes or at least walk down to the river and take a bath.

The latest one I didn't get any video because well, it is happening more and more. But I had a posse of two level 20's lasso me when I was dealing with some errant lawmen angry. Those low levels really love those lassos. Anyways one of them effectively hogtied me and started to shoot me, but I pulled out my knife and got free instantly. I had to take out a few of the chasing lawmen first before I could deal with them but when I was ready the players were riding away two on one horse. Pulled out my Carcano, gave them a few seconds to think they were safe and fired twice, killing them both. Sometimes I like to treat people in kind.

Hehe they do indeed, seems like the majority of ppl who join this game do that.

 

You know if its possible to get free from it with throwing knives? I’m always with the machete on the hunting knife slot, and that one doesnt get you free from the lasso, never tried with the throwing knives.
