When Justice Is Served

Somebody tried to lasso me while I was collecting things near blackwater. I think he was trying to do bounty? Anyway the guy got headshot by my pistol.

Yesterday I had 3 rank 200s camp at my bounty prison wagon, I knew I was in for trouble but somehow made it to the wagon unharmed, I guess my blip was hard to notice because of defensive mode. I got lit up right after the cutscene but was able to ewo in time. I was still screwed because they killed my horse, I had sh*tty guns on me and 2 of them were camping at my 2nd bounty target I still had to turn in while the 3rd guy came after me although he seemed rather oblivious at his surroundings, I was able to take a few shots at him, but the posse leader sniped me. I had no choice but to parley because I had no long range guns and I was in the open fields of Hennigan's Stead. 

 

I turned in my 2nd target while they tossed some dynamite at me, which didn't slow me down much. They then started to point and laugh at me while I asked a friend for backup. He came and I'm very grateful for that.

 

I got my horse and grabbed my bow as I had no interest in fighting fair against them and once the parley ended the nearest guy got blown up right away, in total 7/8 boom arrows connected, the posse leader sniped me once more but I got him 3 times. The other 2 guys didn't get me at all. I left after that. Moral of the story, don't laugh too soon. Because I got the last laugh.

 

Although I do have to give them credit for not using explosive ammo, but I wasn't gonna play fair while outnumbered against high ranks trying to sabotage my bounty mission.

Against my better judgement I embarked on yesterday's long range sale mission from my camp south of Valentine.

Loaded my semi auto shotgun with explosive slugs and set off. (I disregarded the bow, since when explosive ammo was gone I could still switch to incendiary, then regular slugs)

Almost as soon as the message appeared that others can attack the sale, I got notification that someone was trying to steal the goods.

Shortly after that a red blip appeared and started getting closer.

 

Now, I have seen on live streams that regular non-posse members have appeared as red blips during sale missions and the notification that they are trying to steal the goods has appeared when they were just actually friendlies who couldn't join the posse because it was full, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

He approached from my right rear, I briefly aimed in the general direction and he crossed to the left and came up beside the wagon, but hadn't fired.

It was dark out, I couldn't see if he had weapons out, so just kept driving, and got headshotted for my trouble.

 

He took off on the wagon, but I quickly caught up to him and delivered an explosive slug to his head, then had to try and turn the wagon back around to head to the drop (in St. Denis, no less!).

His horse was still nearby, so that got blasted as well (damn thing took 3 shots!), I figured that would slow him down a little.

 

He got closer a while later as I was riding along the long straight approaching the city, and I snapped him with 3 quick Carcano shots to the head.

The route took me through some corners, and as I made a tight turn to the left, the wagon hung up on a crate, I had to back up a little to make it around and another player (blue dot) decided to get involved, but crashed from too much speed.

I got the wagon rolling amid stray desperate shots from the two randys, who were flailing a bit, made the last right turn to the drop and accelerated.

I lined up a shot at the first guy (red blip), but he swerved and crashed a bit, the blue guy took a couple of wild shots but nothing connected, and I slid the wagon into the yellow for the win.

 

The blue dot stayed blue, so I assume he never connected, but took a few more wild shots and bolted after the mission end.

I switched back to defensive, and went collecting, but as I passed the butcher, someone took off and scurried around behind a building for cover, so I assume it was one of my 'pals'.

 

When I checked the player list, the first guy was lvl 72, the second guy was 12, so that explains his skittishness.

 

And that only counted as 1 goods delivered out of 2.  

When you do a 100 goods local sale it counts as 2.

 

I could have made a small long distance run to finish the daily, but it's not worth the trouble and ammo expenditure.

AHHHHH. So THAT"S why I always get the credit for two sales daily after completing one.  I didn't know that, just thought it was a bug

A griefer was terrorizing da 'hood. After the local NPC's he turned on me. I have noticed that if you have a 'girly' avatar, that you attract a lot of incels. 

 

Instead of being griefer bait I made him part of the Monty Python Flying Circusss.  The griefer was a natural at taking off, the landings had room for improvements. 

 

 

Lil' sh*tstain immediately parleyed. Griefers look for victims, not a fight.

I scored some deers and was loading them in my hunting wagon. A griefer comes along. He plays innocent by greeting me, but I know better. While I am struggling with R* clumsy controls, the griefer opens fire. I returned the favor and killed his horse too, to immobilize him. 

 

 

I didn't waste any more dynamite arrows on him. After I stopped recording, he turned up at my camp spitting on me. I didn't want the battle to chose me. He was obviously trying to pick a fight. Instead of entertaining him, I just left.

Let’s get it boys! Don’t mind the ability card and friend list thing as I was doing legendary bounty and needed to change them back. Also, was trying to find my friend in the list. I just gotten off Doom Eternal to give him a hand in a trader sell, by time I loaded in he closed the game bc he said he crashed the sale. So I figured I would try and invite him back in. His name wasn’t showing online. Well enjoy.

PS original is 15 minutes but that’s just me loading the game up and trying to join his lobby.

Took homie quite some time to figure out that it was better to parley. LOL. 

 

With the closure of the schools and everyone sitting at home, there is an ample supply of volunteers. 

 

Some griefer was terrorizing da 'hood. It is better to play the pig to catch the coyote. Vengeance is best served cold. I bet he didn't see it coming.

So we just spawned in and ran to get this collectible when this player came up, seemed okay for a second but that didn't last long. I was trying to be careful because of the other player at the station, really didn't want them to get into my cross hairs and all and I kind of stayed by to make sure the two players didn't start griefing that player because he/she was helping us. I mean, they were bold I'll give them that.

I particularly enjoyed the part where you get a murder ding.  I got one earlier today under similar circumstances and had a slaughter ding added to it when I put a downed and bleeding out horse out of its misery.

Yeah R* does not like when we retaliate and it seems we should defend ourselves by shooting back. Either we get a penalty for killing them or their horse.

This guy started bugging us when we were collecting so we hid in the safe zone hoping he would get bored and go away. He didn't go so Mark took us into a Showdown. I didn't realise that the safe zone vanishes for a few seconds before you entered an event. So we ended up getting the last laugh and hopefully leaving him raging.

Yeah this was great ,the little try hard was that good he was sniping us then using explosive. We got a few kills on him and stood in the safe zone while he raged outside . That was absolutely perfect timing by the time he spawned back in he wldnt have known what happened we wldve just disappeared

So last night me and my husband went to Valentine and this player started throwing knives at my husband as he went into the gun shop. No big deal, just another player trying to start a fight so we left them alone and headed to the stable. Now while he was in the stable I was outside waiting, watching the player and his buddy as they hung around at the other end of town. Eventually they made their way toward me and the first one started to shoot at me while hiding out at the butcher table, he didn't know the area of safety well because I was able to catch him out of the safe zone a few times and kept killing him. The other player shows up and I don't shoot him because, well, my beef was with his friend and all. Finally I think I killed his friend too many times so the second player attacks me and I kill him. Needless to say it was a back and forth for a bit until my husband came out and they attacked him. We killed them again and bored we start heading north with these players following us and well, this is the end of the fight. The player wanted to fight fire with fire, lol. It's always nice to see when those red blips disappear off the map. All they had to do was stop shooting me in Valentine and I would have let it go.

Sort of figured it was coming because they just kept dying and wouldn't let it go. And I've heard stories from other people about players that would message them when they got the better of 'em, threatening to report them for cheating and all. I don't cheat, heck with these guys I never even used dead eye once. Only used tonics and the big ammo when they started using theirs on us.

Oh we love getting those it’s a nice final touch to report them for swearing in psn chat unlike R* psn take any swearing or name calling very serious. You can litterly report anything to psn and the next time they load up they get a nice message or even a ban for 3 days . And I don’t feel bad either at the end of the day they bring it all on themselves.

The Wanted system is epically broken--about a week ago, after killing an NPC on a trail, I got slapped with a "Vandalism" crime.

 

Lawmen get stuck, can easily lose your position within seconds of seeing you, or see you through entire buildings, etc.; and those just scratch the surface of much bigger AI issues.

"WANTED: Dead or Alive" after a minor shooting spree in Tumbleweed saw me accidentally blow a deputy away.

5 minutes later riding back into Tumbleweed: Friendly "Partner..." from a Deputy.
