Bots in GTA V: Automating player character walking

Hey!

I'm new to modding community for GTA V, but I'd like to learn how to automate the movement of the main character.

Much in the same way that Brett Watanabe did in his 'San Andreas Deer Streaming' project.

 

My background is in programming so I don't mind getting my hands a little dirty, but ideally I could just use someone elses mod!

Does anyone have any advice on how to go about this?

So I dived in and started making my first mod. Turns out its really easy!  I got exactly what I was after with the 'WanderAround()' function.

Actually lol, it seems that WanderAround() is pretty stupid. I'm going to try and code something with a little more intelligence (using Task.WanderArea and Task.Wait I guess). If anyone reads this and has any tips/ knows betters ways please let me know!
