P.S. Did I understand correctly, there are only sources on GitHub right now, no release yet? Instruction on GitHub talks about "Releases" but they're not there yet. I never have installed Blender scripts, just tried to install .py scripts from "master" zip as add-ons, and didn't succeed...
Sorry for noob question, just wanted to test some models :)

Yeah, I haven't completed everything I planned for a Release yet.

Didn't realise Github created another subdirectory after downloading a zip file. You'll need to extract the gta folder and create a zip archive of that to be able to install it. Or you could also extract the folder to the plugins folder directly.

Thank you! Now i tried without that 2 parametres, but got this... How it's called, normals or what, i didn't really understand too much time...

Updated plugin a minutes ago and tried again, and this is result! Thank you so much, i never seen before plugin, what did my tasks as i want. Now 3DS Max goes to retire, it's Blender time, and i can use it on linux, great!

Although the focus is on 2.8, as it's still in Beta, I have not yet dropped 2.79 support from the scripts, and import/export functions works as intended on Blender 2.79 as well.

Unfortunately, I don't know... Actually, I'm not a Blender user, I just wanted to test some stuff I know something about(VC characters) for future purposes.
There were some issues with 2.79, I wrote about it to Parik in PM, and he solved them. But I didn't test anything else but VC characters stuff.
It's an ambitious project, so it can't be without some bugs. But I think the more people will test it - the faster we got the final product.

I'm trying to spread this software in the Russian community. We have a lot of people making models for games R*. They should be interested.

I do not know how to contact * to ask him questions on the supplement, to offer their ideas. How can I do that?😶

From knowledgeable people in Blender, there is here who can do dynamic object lighting (Night and day lighting). I can not figure out the "Vertex Color"😖

This is a really cool project. I'm surprised that Blender has been neglected for so long for GTA modding considering it's free and all that.

Now when I try to export a vehicle model that I modified, I get this error...
 


I checked the "only selected" box and set the version to GTA SA and that error comes up when I try to export it.

Also, as a sidenote, if I don't check Mass Export or Only Selected, Blender becomes unresponsive requiring me to close the window.

 

This was on version 2.79 by the way.

Я установил флажок «только выбрано» и установил версию на GTA SA, и эта ошибка появляется, когда я пытаюсь ее экспортировать.

Кроме того, в качестве идентификатора, если я не выберу «Массовый экспорт» или «Только выбранный», Блендер перестает отвечать на запросы, требуя, чтобы я закрыл окно.

 

Это было на версии 2.79, кстати.

Try this operation on version 2.8, if that doesn't work, I will try to help you.

Hello from the Spongebob: Battle For Bikini Bottom modding community!  We've been looking for a .DFF converter for blender for quite some time now as well, and are glad to see one in development. 
That being said, we're having some problems with it.  A few of us have tested it, and while it could be because our game's .DFF are on a different version or something, we thought we might as well post the errors we're getting here to see if we can get some support.

 

This happens when importing, in both the 2.8 and 2.7 blender builds.
