Games you want but will NEVER be considered/made.

trip

I thought this thread was for outlandish games that won't happen.  :)

You know what I want?  Remember Midtown Madness(and midtown madness 2)?  I want another mundane driving game where you have to follow the laws and all that.  You have to play with a wheel though...you know...for the full feeling.

Drinking and driving was great.  I'd be at an intersection waiting for the stop light to change...all nervous about the cop on the corner.

Make a mundane driving game where you have to do mundane tasks.  Drive to pick up your dry cleaning where there is only on the street parallel parking.  Bump the car behind you as you park and hope they didn't see.

Hey!  I think I just came up with the game - GTA Pedestrian.  You live out your mundane life in the GTA universe so you never know if sh*t is going to pop off as you go about your average law abiding life.

A Green Arrow game like Arkham Knight.

Superman game

A Flash game

Green Lantern Corps game

Batman Beyond game

I'm disappointed DC only cares about Batman when it comes to video games.

I'd like these,but I don't think they'll ever be made:

-GTA San Andreas Stories

-a more serious/realistic Spore game (something similar to the first trailer)

-Road Rash remastered (with the same soundtrack full of 90s alternative rock and live action cutscenes from the version for CD based platforms)

-Primal Rage remastered

An 'open-world' (of sorts) game set in the TNG-era Star Trek universe, where instead of a city, you've got entire ships/stations as maps (think a bit like the Citadel in Mass Effect 1, or being able to run around whole stretches of the Enterprise in Elite Force II), and you get to fly shuttles down to planets (á la No Man's Sky) instead of driving cars. Lots of environmental storytelling, branching conversations, and not just turning Star Trek into some generic action game - which is why it'd never happen, but it'd be my ideal game if someone actually committed to a game like that...

I'd like another True Crime game, Streets of LA was a blast, frisking people was always funny especially when you found things on the pedestrians. Another Midnight Club game would be cool, but please oh please no more of this forced online crap that plagues modern racing games.

The Warriors 2. I've honestly never had so much fun playing another game, GTA fails miserably in comparison every time. Red Deads come close with the robberies on single player and improved melee but it still isn't scratching that Warriors itch.

An Alpha Protocol sequel

The first game was terrible. But I enjoyed it. Now that Microsoft owns Obsidian I'm bummed out that if they ever make a sequel or remaster it'll be Xbox exclusive. Sega owns the IP though but I don't think they'll ever touch it again.

NCAA Football.

Madden NFL with classic teams from the pre AFL-NFL/Super Bowl era, such as the Baltimore Colts, Dallas Texans, Chicago Cardinals, Boston Patriots, Houston Oilers, Cleveland Browns, the Steagles and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

A GTA game with an American Football stadium to watch games.

A remastered Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake for next generation consoles.

A legitimate successor to MAG.

Image result for MAG game

Massive Action Game - it wasn't pretty, it wasn't balanced, but it was sure-as-f*** fun.

Winning battles for your faction actually meant something positive for your faction.  You could play 100 matches and not encounter the same tactics twice (though often times you did - complexity is not for the casual).  The game was balanced in the character progression and the strengths and weaknesses of the guns and classes, but the factions were not balanced as the each emphasized different things - (Raven - speed and accuracy, Valor - balanced offense, strong defense, SVER - powerful but "inaccurate").

The whole concept though of having an 8-man squad, in a 32-man platoon, in a 128-man company...each with it's own leader and special abilities for squad support, area support, of battle-wide support...communication was huge.  If you had a legitimate group of 128 people that knew how to operate as a team, you could wreck any game.

Vehicles sucked unfortunately. Graphics were passable at best.  Maps were really nice, but with only 1 map per battle type per faction (3 battle types = 9 maps).

Something like that would be so great to have again.  Very underrated and underappreciated game.

As much as everyone would probably hate it, not even mentioning the fact that it would probably be a buggy piece of crap, I'd really love the first two Fallout games remastered (or rather remade) just because I don't like the way they look. Keep everything story and quest-wise intact and just make them full 3D titles a la F:NV (which is another reason I'd like them remade, loved New Vegas start to finish).

Agree with the suggestion of a Saints Row 1 and 2 remastered.

A proper GTA game set in Russia in the 90's would be pretty cool to play.

LA Noire 2.

Since Team Bondi went up sh*t creek and R* remastered the original the odds of a sequel are probably next to nothing now.

There is ATOM RPG, but still not the same. Still resembles it more or less, but doesn't scratch that Fallout itch.

At one time, I had an idea for a game with a "shared universe" of all other games ever made. You could have any setting, any character, any vehicles, all that. When I told friends about the idea, they thought I was nuts and something like that would never happen, but then Garry's Mod happened and I caught a glimpse of the idea, and now there's VRChat, which also comes close and has full-on VR. Developers needn't be limited because the players are willing to provide everything, as long as they're able.

Beyond that, I did also once imagine an open-world singleplayer/co-op life simulator. Played like any FPS or FPRPG, you'd have emergent stories from how players and NPCs interacted, as well as a plot following a career path, all in a full-scale open-world about the size of the greater Cincinnati area (about 4,800 square miles). Basically like an RPG mixed with simulator games, and probably incredibly boring for anybody who isn't me. Good area for a driving game, though.

...stupid idea that popped into my head:

Mafia III Online.

Not 'Mafia Online' in general (I'm not talking Goodfellas or the like) - no, I mean Hangar 13 going back to Mafia III, and adapting the racket mechanics into something resembling GTAO or RDO.

I've been doing an 'everything and the kitchen sink' run of Mafia III recently, and comparing the rackets to GTAO's businesses, and the interesting bunch of contacts you assemble (compared to some of the annoying caricatures in RDO), I'd much rather, say, run stolen trucks to Alma's warehouses than doing stuff for Horley, Alan Jerome, or any of that lot. :p

That, and it'd be a surprisingly good map for a R*-style Online thing - there's a huge number of interiors you can access, from bars and shops, to just being able to take shortcuts through random houses and garages (sometimes by kicking the door in, which never gets old...).

Mafia 3 with the original vision. Without that generic open world filler crap that got rammed through the devs throat by the Take2 suits.

Mafia 4 is never happening anyway, that is for sure...

A new Timesplitters.

Despite the fact there is a small but strong community that loves it, I don't think the demand is big enough to warrant a brand new game.

I'd love if somebody remastered it for the new generation of consoles, though.
